The main advantage of the hotel is its location. All major attractions, and Rome is one big attraction, are 15-20 minutes. walk. There are two metro stations nearby: Termini and Vittorio. I advise the latter because the Termini station is also a huge station, on the way to which there is usually not a very pleasant audience and the dirt and smells associated with most stations. Several buses stop right next to the steps of the hotel.
I recommend the hotel to everyone.
Host - Gartur. Transfers were timely, no complaints. But excursions are the worst. It seems that the employees are not aimed at telling interesting things, but to bring tourists to specific shops for some obligatory purchases!
After visiting the first sightseeing tour included in the tour, we understood the level of the guides and simply did not go to the other two, already paid. All excursions take place in the mode - faster - faster. For example, the Vatican Museums took about 1.5 hours. The only normal tour, purchased already in Rome, was "Christian Rome", conducted by Katya, for which I thank her. The rest is just a waste of money. Therefore, we went to Pompeii and Naples ourselves.
Also, Gartour employees strongly recommend sightseeing trips on a 2-story CitySightseeing bus (red ones). In no case! In addition to the fact that technically not everything is in order in them - a very quiet audio guide that constantly departs, the stories are also as devoid of content as possible! Give me 20 euros!
I advise everyone to visit the Cathedral of St. Petra with an audio guide, sold there. You can take one for two, after taking headphones with you, because the employees do not give them out, referring to the absence and forcing you to purchase a second audio guide. I did not like the audio guide in the Collesei.
Rome itself is amazing! I think that it is also called the eternal city because it is impossible to fully open, examine and understand it in 7-10 days. Therefore, you need to come again and again.
