Since in Italy I was in almost all major cities such as Rome, Milan, Venice and Florence, I just wanted to spend a week at sea. According to reviews on the Internet, she settled on about. Ischia is like a quiet, peaceful and very beautiful place. The city of Forio was chosen because it goes out to the open sea, and not "facing" to the continent. The hotel chose one of the 5, literally intuitively. It was necessary inexpensive, comfortable and close to infrastructure. Guessed it 100%. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious (I had half board, i. e. breakfast and dinner), there was enough food - it was quite possible not to dine in the city, cleaning is daily, the hotel is located literally 10 minutes walk from the city center, to the beach 5-7 minutes. The hotel is located in the park. The place is very quiet and beautiful. The hotel has a main 3-storey building (there is also a restaurant, reception, bar) and separate 1-storey houses. I got a room on the 3rd floor, with a large balcony and an almost 270-degree view of the sea, the city and Mount Epomeo in the center of the island. The hotel has two swimming pools, one with ordinary water, the other with thermal water. The water is clean. And the sea is warm, clean, and close : -)
There is no entertainment as such in Forio, you need to go to other towns on the island for them, but if you want a relaxing holiday, you won’t find a better place.
The island itself is tiny, only 6 towns, the central one is Ischia Porto, the main entertainment and shops are also concentrated there. Regular buses run between all towns. You can walk, but it's still a long way.
The only negative is that no one on the island speaks English. Only Italian and German (Ischia is very popular with the Germans, they are the vast majority of tourists there).
Ferries run from Naples to the island literally every half an hour, the journey takes 40-50 minutes.
I traveled all over the island and looked at other hotels - but Hibiscus seemed to me the best option : -) so I can safely recommend it. If you have any questions - write, I will be happy to answer.
