The beginning of our adventures in Pisa here

The Duomo Museum (where the masterpieces of the cathedral are exhibited, which now houses their copies), the crypt of St. Reparate, climb the Dome of the cathedral. Just enough for two days. We didn’t have that much time, so the Dome became my main goal, and the rest according to the situation. The most annoying thing is that when I had already paid, I saw an entry on the site that from December 21.2016 to March 21.2017 tickets for 10 euros, though without visiting the Dome of the Cathedral. Damn, it’s a shame, annoying, but okay... I didn’t find how to return the ones already bought, I was embarrassed to ask my husband (he has better English against my complete ignorance of the language), he would not forgive me such waste))) From November 1.2016 years, they introduced a time reservation, as Yandex translated for me. Translator, this is all advisory. Of the proposed options for December 30, I chose 10.30 for the dome and 9.00 for the bell tower. The dome was more interesting for me, and I was not sure that we would have time to arrive from Pisa by 9.00.
But my friend and comrade, and part-time husband, as always, said, once paid - you have to take it. So he had to fill up on the train)))
When we arrived at the Bell Tower, there were no queues, and there was an announcement that there were no more tickets for today. At the entrance to the paper, over time, they simply looked and scanned the original ticket that came to the e-mail (then another ticket with the time designation arrives). When we left an hour later, a decent queue formed.
And at the entrance to the Dome, the paper was eventually taken away and the same ticket was scanned. Still, time is probably respected. By the designated 10.30 to the entrance to the Dome, people were just pulling up, for the most part with the same printouts.
What can I say. . . For non-athletes like us, these climbs are a serious test. The steps are pretty steep.

traffic jams are formed periodically, because it is difficult for oncoming flows to disperse, especially when large individuals meet, like my husband))), somehow a reverse movement is formed by itself. The ascent to the Bell Tower takes place in several stages.

But we had yet another climb to the Dome of the Cathedral. Let me give you a recommendation: if you still need to make a choice between these two masterpieces, or rather climbing them, then I would choose the Dome. First of all, because of the opportunity to look at the temple from above from the inside.

And, of course, admire the painting of the Dome. When you go out onto the balcony, you involuntarily break out “AH! »
And then all the agony of climbing and squeezing up the stairs
are rewarded with breathtaking views. This is Florence! All at once!! !

After we conquered such heights, there was no question of any museums (and I had a couple of places planned). There was a huge queue at the entrance to the Cathedral, we did not stand, we looked at the entrance with one eye.
We looked into the Baptistery, sat there on a bench, raising our heads.

And that was the end of the cultural program.
We also trampled on Piazza del Duomo in the hope of taking a photo of “Me and the Cathedral”, the hopes were not justified (the cathedral does not fit in the frame)

I would never have thought that this is a railway station, it reminds me of a Soviet cinema without a sign. And inside - yes, beautiful, modern, comfortable and huge.
While I was looking at the Christmas tree,
Husband bought train tickets. It turned out that not all machines accept cash, many only work with cards. And it was precisely to such a machine that I managed to approach. (No, there was a card, but it was easier for us with cash). And it’s only a few minutes before departure, and we have a 3 way, and we are in the area, so I don’t remember, but it’s far away)) We run, we don’t see the 3rd way, there is a 5th, there is a 2nd, but where 3 and 4? And they, it turns out, are a little further from the main line of the beginning of the platforms, in short, or something.

We made it, we jumped in. . . It was possible not to run, in half an hour there would be the next train, but I really wanted to go home, that is, to the hotel.
