Part 2

It's sad, but our vacation at sea is over and it's time to go home. The plans were to swim in the sea in the morning, but this was not destined to come true. It rained at night, in the morning it intensified.

Therefore, we collect things, rent a house, check the light, oil and tire pressure of the car and go. Driving through the campsite, we see how the "poor fellows" in tents are trying to hide things from the streams of water.

Today it is necessary to drive about 700 km before the next overnight stay. The city of Brno in the Czech Republic was chosen for her. Again with the same condition that you can go sightseeing in your free time.

We are on our way to Udine and further to the border with Austria in the direction of Klagenfurt. We drive along familiar local roads. We save time on the autobahn by 30-40 minutes, but you have to pay about 10-12 euros for the pleasure. There are mountains on the horizon, our path lies through them, and the closer Austria is, the more expressive the landscapes become. Alpine-style houses, well-maintained facades decorated with flowers.

The rain gradually subsides and the emerging sun illuminates the panorama of the Alps. Again numerous tunnels. The view around is breathtaking. Fellow travelers with some sadness look out the window: "Here we would have a house in the village! ".

To travel on the Austrian autobahns, you need to purchase a vignette. Just before the border with Austria, we stop in Spar, hoping to buy it there, but no luck. Prices in the store - space! The cashier explained where the next gas station will be, where there is a payment for roads. But we safely do not notice the turn to it, and so we entered the territory of Austria. Italy Arrivederce!

We "fly" along the good Austrian autobahn, the limit is 130 km/h. With our course speed of 140, we are bypassed as standing. After 10 km from the border there is a large gas station with places to rest, a shop. In Austria, gasoline is a little cheaper than Italian, so we refuel according to the principle: fill up - then pay!

- Will you be from Orel? ! - I hear Russian speech when I move away from the car. This is the owner of the X-trail from Perm, he also returns home from Italy with his family. We exchange impressions about the rest. A trifle, but nice!

Austria, of course, delights with the beauty of the Alpine slopes, just without "Milk". Our further path lies past Lake Wortensee. I looked at the photo in advance - a very beautiful lake. However, the autobahn is laid out in such a way that it is practically invisible. It would be nice to stay here for another day, but it's impossible to cover everything!

So, past Graz and Vienna, we are approaching the border with the Czech Republic. There is no sign of bad weather here. This makes me happy. Because we will stay in Brno for two nights, and we would not like to walk around the city in the rain. With frequent stops in the evening we drive into Brno. Illuminated from all sides on the top of the hill, the Church of St. Jacob looks very impressive.

The hotel booked in the old part of the city warmly welcomes us. We park the car in the courtyard.

About the hotel and a walk around Brno in another post. . .

Two days later, we leave the Czech Republic also on autobahns, imperceptibly cross the border with Poland. We also drive along the expressway in the direction of Warsaw. We count colored bridges. The average speed is high, so we move quickly.

When we turn off the motorway in front of Warsaw in the Biał a Podlaska fusion, the roads become very busy, and the presence of frequent settlements introduces significant changes in our speed regime. On this stretch of Poland, endless apple orchards are remembered.

We were at the border in Terespol around 20.00. Here we "safely" lingered for 2.5 hours. Crossing the border in a car is another challenge. Fortunately, we contacted the owners in the suburbs of Brest in advance, and they cordially left the key in the agreed place.

In the morning the next day extended sleep. After breakfast we stopped at the Museum of Railway Engineering in Brest.

The exposition of the steam locomotives, diesel locomotives and wagons presented was impressive.

After examining, climbing and feeling, we are going home!

Results of the trip:

Tired of the journey? Yes, especially the way home! Apparently already wanted to return to their native lands as soon as possible. In addition, the road changed from better to worse on the way back, apparently this added fatigue.

Everyone liked it! Including the smallest one. The amount of information and impressions is colossal!

Travel budget for 2.5 weeks is less than for 10-12 days in ALL. Despite the fact that they ate not only at home and entertainment was for every taste.

Shall we go again? Rather yes! Especially when this report was being written, there was already a trip to Poland during the New Year holidays.

Thank you for your attention!
