Unforgettable experience
In November 2015, we visited the quiet and cozy village of Kasol, which is located in the district Kullu State Himachal Pradesh India. November is not a popular month for tourists, so there were few people and we could enjoy peace and quiet after visiting densely populated cities. We stayed at the Holiday Home Hotel, where we got all the amenities for a reasonable price. The nature in Kasol is very picturesque, where there are opportunities for both active recreation and just enjoy hiking. In any Kasol cafe you can find a variety of Indian, Chinese, Thai, as well as Israeli and continental cuisine. I really liked the Evergreen cafe with a calm atmosphere, pleasant music, where we spent the evenings, and breakfasts in the open air in the rays of the autumn warm sun were very pleasant in the Moon Dance cafe, where delicious pies and buns were also prepared. Near Kasol is the village of Manikaran (about 5 km or an hour walk from Kasol along the picturesque bank of the Parvati River), where we visited a Sikh temple and saw hot springs. From Kasol you can drive to the small village of Bhasani, from where the scenic Khirganga trek starts up the mountains. The hike takes approximately 5.5 hours, and is not always easy for an untrained person, but the beautiful waterfalls, mountain rivers, snow-capped mountains that you will see on your way will leave an unforgettable impression.
