In Cavelossim, everything is concentrated along the main road leading to Colva. It can be walked from end to end in 7-10 minutes. leisurely step. There are a lot of shops, including 4 supermarkets - the biggest one is D'MELLO in the basement near the northern end of the village. There is also a pharmacy. About 100 meters from this supermarket to the south there will be several vegetable stalls. When you walk along Cavelossim, near each store, merchants invite you inside. You have to answer "No, you don't". Say "later" - tomorrow they will pester with tripled force. Prices are overpriced by 3-4 times. So a cashmere scarf with an initial price of 800-1000 rupees. bought for 300 rupees. T-shirt 500 rupees - bought 150 rupees. The dollar exchange rate is 61... 62 rupees. Prices in Cavelossim Watermelon (2 kg) - 80 rupees. (not very tasty); Pineapple (medium) - 50 rupees; Tomatoes (1 kg) - 20-40 rupees. ; Bananas (16 pcs. ) - 40-60 rupees; Sliced bread 0.3 kg - 20-23 rupees. Juice in a package - 80-100 rupees. (1l). Rum Old Monk - 36 rupees. (0.18 l), 160 rupees. (0.75l) Brandy Honey bee – 160 rupees (0.75 l)Kingfisher beer 5% - 60 rupees (0.65 l) Dry red wine Madera 12% (this is not fortified Madera at all) - 299 rupees. (0.75 l) Wine Port 14% (0.75 l) - 85... 199 rupees. depending on year of manufacture and manufacturer. Interestingly, the prices for drinks and alcohol are stamped on the bottles at the manufacturer. If you go to the center of the village from the beach (i. e. to the north) along an asphalt road (by the way, it is rather narrow, without sidewalks and it is rather unpleasant to walk along it, especially when a local regular bus is driving), then behind the Luisa by the sea shopping gallery ”, approximately opposite the entrance to the Hotel Dona Sylva, on the right there will be an asphalt branch, along which you can reach the Sal River. There, literally next to the main street, there are 5 restaurants (there is another one further to the river), many shops and 2 minimarkets. There are mosquitoes everywhere in the village - we were bitten on the beach, in the restaurant, and at the hotel reception. Clouds of mosquitoes are not visible, but they bite everywhere. To the beach from the center of the village go about 1000 m, go 12-15 minutes. The shortest way to the beach is through a gap in the barbed wire at the beginning of the Luisa by the sea shopping arcade and then through a wasteland on private property. True, the break is sometimes closed with branches. You can go south along the asphalted main street, and then along the asphalt to the right almost to the beach through the shopping arcade with annoying merchants. On the beach 14 NIS - more expensive to the north (closer to 4 * hotels Dona Sylva and Radisson Blu). The nuance is that until you get tanned and become familiar, merchants will cling to you everywhere, and in shek will demand 400-600 rupees for sunbeds. You can stay in a shek for 1 bottle of sealed water bought in it - 30 rupees. But the next day they demanded that we pay 600 rupees. , or dined in shek - then we just went to another. They demand money or dine only in the morning, in the evening you can lie on sunbeds of any shek for free. The stories in the reviews of tourists about which shek is better to eat are surprising. There is no running water in the shek, the cooks do not really wash their hands, the dishes are washed together with the fish, in the same bowl of muddy water... We ate at several restaurants opposite the Dona Sylva hotel and did not have stomach problems (although they also add to the bill there ). Vacationers on the beach are middle-aged and elderly people. There are a small number of small children. There are few Indians and they appear mainly on weekends or in the evening. During our vacation, the air temperature ranged from 28 (at 9-00) to 32-33 degrees C at 14-00, Water in the morning 27.5, in the evening 29 degrees C. If you walk along the beach to the south, then in 40 minutes. you can walk to the end of Mabor beach and the bay into which the Sal river flows - there are a lot of crabs, cormorants and black herons. In the north, in about 1 hour, along an almost deserted beach, you can walk to the Ramada Caravelle hotel, U Silvio cafe and a water entertainment center. It is very unpleasant that on the Cavelossima beach you are constantly pestered by: merchants (hats, drums, glasses, shells, beads, etc. ), masseurs, beggars, tattoo artists, etc. Unconditional dignity - in 12 days. we have never seen cows and, accordingly, their excrement either in the village or on the beach. Although there are more than enough dogs on the beach. The beach is very wide - at low tide about 70 m. Along the beach there are yellow-red or red flags (they say, if you drown, then we are not to blame). During the time we were resting there, no one drowned, and did not even try, because the waves do not drag them into the ocean, but, on the contrary, they carry them ashore. There are 3 lifeguard posts and a rescue jeep drives along the beach all the time and a policeman walks. Behind the last, if you go south, Seaway's beach shake, there is a water entertainment center. Excursions. You can ride them yourself by hiring a local taxi driver. 1. It is quite interesting to drive along the beaches (Palolem, where it is interesting to ride a boat and Cola), temples (Shantadurga temple, a temple near Cola beach) and a fort (Cabo de Rama). Taxi drivers ask $50/car for such a 6-hour trip, and they agree for $40-45.2. Trip: waterfall, riding and bathing with elephants, spice garden, Old Goa (you can either go with a guide who finds customers on the beach for $ 40 / person or with a taxi driver for $ 40 / car). But no one liked her - I can not recommend her. 3. Very interesting, but two-day and expensive ($190/person) excursion to Hampi. If you have any questions - write to sk_lora@ukr. net, I will answer. In general, from Goa, there were mixed impressions. Dirty; mosquitoes constantly gnaw; unpleasant local population, which is constantly trying to deceive; muddy water in a troubled ocean. An annoying problem with sunbeds on the beach, and even annoying beach vendors. That is, it is difficult to relax here. On the other hand: a very warm ocean, beautiful nature and interesting temples. Alexander.

There are no bathrobes and slippers. The only toiletries provided were soap and toilet paper. The kettle and cups were brought after contacting the reception. Sometimes the electricity went out, but not for long. The water was always hot. Breakfasts are meager and monotonous, but 12 days is quite possible to hold out on them. Always omelettes and salads, watermelon, tortillas, some soup, toast with butter and jam, coffee, tea. The beach is clean, pleasant water, mud only from the sand. Much cleaner than in Pattaya. Traders are intrusive, but not arrogant. The main thing is to categorically refuse, not to say "later" or "tomorrow" - everyone remembers! I liked the Ayurveda Center next to the hotel from the side of the road, they did massages, bought drugs. They offer a discount if you book multiple sessions. I advise you to go, you will not regret it!

Villas, in one of which I lived, have nothing to do with the hotel. Photos not of the hotel, but of the holiday village adjacent to it. These are private houses that the hotel rents under the guise of its own. They are located on the territory of the holiday village located behind the hotel. The houses are large and air-conditioned. They have everything: SAFE, kitchen, large refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, kettle and even a toaster. Residents of these villas are allowed to use the swimming pool. Residents in other rooms are driven from there by local residents, explaining that he has nothing to do with the hotel. Especially noisy call the service - the police, for violating the inviolability of private territory. There is currently a court order to demolish this hotel. It will be necessary, but when this happens it is not clear, so if you want to go there, do it carefully and be sure to go to the Villa (they won’t be demolished, and they won’t be able to evict them. They just stop cleaning, but this is nonsense. Anyway, they are they do badly, and the bed is changed only on Mondays). There are no safes in the rooms. There are not enough safes at the reception, they put them in a queue, they will provide them somewhere in three days. Given that the locks are bad, and very often you have to enter the rooms through the window, the integrity of expensive things is called into question. The weather there was good (air 40, water 32, no waves). the water is muddy in itself, so there is no diving here, no fishing either (this is a local scam - get drunk to death and be happy. ) The pool (for those living in the villa) is good.

We had a two-story villa number 45 - chic. Antique furniture, kitchen with utensils, microwave oven, stove, etc. Two verandas with rocking chairs and swings. Hindus are very friendly people, but slow. Breakfast in hotels is so-so, mostly eggs and tortillas, but you won't go hungry. The sea is warm, the beach is clean, no cows were seen on the beach. There are dogs, but they are kind. We dined mainly in the "Marine Corps" neck at Alex's (as you enter the beach, there are 3 cafes on the right). A wonderful man, his wife and Vasya assistant. They speak Russian well. If you eat with them, then free sun loungers and umbrellas. In the markets, everything costs a penny, the main thing is to bargain. Clothing quality is not very good, but how can you resist not to buy some kind of tunic for 100 or 200 rubles (200-400 rupees). Money was changed at the hotel, or at a pharmacy nearby. They took home teas and their medicines. We went on an excursion to the waterfalls (the road there is rather difficult, jeep safari), and we were with a child who is 6 years old. But meeting the monkeys was worth it. We rode elephants, some swam with them, but I warn you the water there is muddy and the elephants defecate right into this water!! ! In general, for an amateur. Do not listen to people who say bad things about India! It's great if you like beautiful nature and the sea. We were there for 10 days, and with a child, no one was poisoned by anything. Unless they went over their rum a couple of times! At first it was wildly looking at the garbage, but then we got used to it. In the coastal areas and around the hotel is clean! They (Indians) are very fond of small gifts! Happy holiday!

Another name is Luisa by the sea. A complex of villas and two buildings with rooms. We lived in villa number 68 (Layla Villa). One of the simplest two bedroom villas, next to the children's pool and the main building. The villa has a small cozy veranda (there is room for a dining table, four chairs that do not interfere with the passage to the house). Inside the hall, kitchen, two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. There is a clothes dryer that can be exposed to the sun. Specifically, in our villa there were the following shortcomings: there were ants in both bathrooms and in the kitchen, the set of dishes was limited to plates, cutlery and glasses - there were no pots or pans. The ceiling fan in the hall did not work. The lamps on the bedside tables did not work in the bedrooms, the socket was broken in one. There was noise from the transformer during the night. Cleaned in a day or two, the bed was changed after the sheet was removed and thrown on the floor. Now about the hotel in general. The Internet was at the reception, despite the availability of equipment in the villas. The manager who met us was extremely unfriendly. All requests were answered with a refusal or vague excuses. Since we were during the spring break, there were a lot of Russians. Both in the main building and in the villas. A couple of times drunk comrades hung out near the pool until the morning. Breakfast is rather poor, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, toast, butter, jam, cereal. Sometimes there were pineapples or watermelons, vegetables. This is where the shortcomings we noticed end. The territory is large, well-groomed - palm trees, flowers, shrubs - everything is beautiful, neat, clean. Two swimming pools - children's (cleaner), the second is larger. There is a "quay" - a picturesque path along the river and beautiful villas. At noon hours it is good to spend time on the veranda if you take care of mosquitoes and midges in advance. Walk 200-300 meters to the sea, closer to shops, to a restaurant on the river (we recommend - River View) through the gate - very close. A few more impressions about the holiday. Cavelossim is a small village, shops are mostly souvenir and clothing. A couple of small family run convenience stores. Fruit selection was rather limited - pineapples, watermelons, strawberries, papaya, passion fruit, chica, guava, bananas. For fish, shrimp, squid, we went to the market in Margao (40 minutes by local bus, instead of an excursion). On the beach, we ate in the first shek on the left "Sea Ways", went to others, but we liked this one the most in terms of the speed of service, the quality of the food, and the prices too.

It is also interesting that they say in India they do not follow or do not know the rules of the road, but how drivers behave on the roads can be envied ! ! Driver's solidarity and respect for pedestrians above all else! ! The sea is just a fairy tale, the water temperature in December was + 30, + 31 degrees, air yes +40 ! ! the sea is clear, azure, the beach is clean! and what ouch. pleased, despite the fact that the beach is municipal, a lot of lifeguards! but it seems that the lifeguards are there just for the Indians, since they can't swim! If anyone has a desire to get acquainted with Goa, I recommend the southern one, but not the Northern one (although it is much cheaper)! I recommend it for ordinary people who love nature and are positive in everything! ! due to the minimum information about the hotel I will answer all questions! !

what is the difference between Single Delux and Villa? Is it possible to check in a private room for 1 person in the hotel villa? Are there bathtubs in the hotel rooms, or is it just a shower?
