We rested at the Club Maxindra 4 * hotel (South GOA) in mid-March 2011 on an all-inclusive basis. The hotel is located next to the sea, access to the beach just behind the territory, the territory is well-groomed, a lot of greenery, two swimming pools and even a fountain. The rooms are mostly large, there are a small number of small rooms, but they are cozy and clean. This is where all the positives end.
Goans are strange people, for example, they could not understand us at all, that in the very heat from 2-4 pm we just want to relax in the room and maybe even fall asleep. We hung out a red sign on the door for the first three days, but they called by phone every 10-15 minutes with the words “room cleaning”, we asked to do this cleaning after 17:00. (in English) but they called again. In the end, we gave up and did not hang out the sign, it was easier to let them in for cleaning and then go back into the room.
Goans consume little raw vegetables and fruits. There were a few vegetables, and fruits were only for breakfast and very rarely for dinner. There is no service in the restaurant, something always ends: cups, spoons, coffee, sweets, hot vegetables, meat, fish; I had to wait to be taken out, they even waited for water for 30-40 minutes. With us, one woman found a cockroach in her salad plate, the waiters apologized and even brought her a meat dish, which was not in the hall. There is another restaurant with Indian cuisine, where three of our group got food poisoning after dinner, but the wine is much better there.

There is nowhere to walk outside the hotel, well, we walked through the dirty village once or twice. Shops are 10-11 km away, these are Colva or Cavelosim, you can get there by taxi (round trip) for 600-700 rupees per car, this price includes waiting for tourists up to 2 hours.
On the territory they saw snakes of different colors, and acquaintances on the 1st floor had a huge fluffy black spider, which they nailed and threw out into the street. And when they came up to their room after dinner, they saw several guards, since the room was open for sanitization, it was not a simple spider. They immediately offered to move to another room.
