I rarely write reviews. But, like many, she could not resist and decided to contribute to the history of reviews about the Alagoa hotel. I don’t want to repeat about a wonderful vacation and a lot of the most pleasant impressions. My review will be like a hint for tourists who decide to come here for the first time.

First, the first day is always deceptive. You need to be patient for about another day and give yourself the opportunity to understand and accept this place in your life. There is something to compare - was in Thailand and Vietnam. Everywhere has its pros and cons, its exotic features. I must say right away that this hotel is not for pretentious tourists who love the comfort of five stars and entertainment. This is a place of relaxation, Indian cuisine and picky people. It is simply a paradise for those who choose other values - silence, serenity, zero stress and freedom. For those who do not like dogs, I definitely advise you to reconsider the place of rest!! ! Here, dogs live right on the territory of the hotel, running in flocks along the beach, looking into your eyes in the hope of a treat. Dogs are amazingly affectionate, kind and reasonable!!!
The hotel is 90 percent inhabited by Russian tourists, you can count on the fingers of foreign Europeans, and for the weekend Indians come with their whole families. There was nothing left for the local population to do but speak Russian. . . )) All the hotel staff try very hard to answer in Russian. So, tourists who do not know English can safely go here, there will be no problems with communication at all. A very friendly and sympathetic Dima, a young guy, the "highlight" of the hotel, an assistant in all questions and problems, works every day at the hotel's guests. This is an Indian who speaks excellent Russian. His name is actually Dibak, but for tourists he calls himself Dima)), again, so that no one bothers memorizing names that are unusual for our ears.
I highly recommend choosing a bungalow for housing, for this pleasure you will have to pay extra $ 10 per day, but it's definitely worth it - the green area around, your own terrace and your own stable internet. In the main building of the hotel there is no Internet in the rooms, only at the reception and in the restaurant.
The hotel has amazing food! Hearty, delicious breakfasts that were included in our tour!! ! These are always three types of hot - pasta, rice, porridge, stewed vegetables. Pancakes, tortillas, toast, jam, watermelon juice, tea, coffee and of course traditional scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs. Lunches or dinners are a separate topic for a story, and there is where your imagination can unfold - various fish, including fresh catch, seafood, any meat, chicken... The menu is in Russian, so fly in and try whatever your heart desires)). Many will ask about the cost of food... I must say right away that everywhere is not as cheap as we imagined when we went here. But on average, a check for dinner or if you want lunch can turn out from 500 to 1500 rubles for two, depending on your wishes. On the first evening, due to inexperience, we ordered several dishes and were simply shocked when our entire table was filled with food)). The portions are large, a side dish is already included with fish and meat dishes - it's mostly french fries or rice, vegetables or a small salad. Therefore, I advise you not to order a lot at once, but to assess your strengths and the capabilities of your stomach. Be sure to try the local rum and moonshine, you can safely drink any beer.
You can eat both in the hotel restaurant and in cafes on the beach. In fact, they cook delicious food everywhere and the price tag is about the same. The hotel is a bit more expensive than on the beach - 50-80 rubles for each dish, but the atmosphere is much more soulful, pleasant and civilized. Boys waiters try to please in everything, they try very hard. We also ate on the beach near Raja (on the beach immediately to the right) - very tasty! He himself speaks Russian well, so he will prompt and help with the choice. If you stand facing the sea, then to the right along the coast, after about 1.5 km there are several more cafes - "Uncle Kolya", "Masha's" - also very
delicious and a very good choice! Masha's cafe turned out to have the best exchange rate, and even a free transfer by car to our hotel after a meal. In fact, you can change money in any cafe on the beach, with taxi drivers, in stalls, and, of course, in a bank in Colva. Do not change money at the airport - very bad, low exchange rate!!!
A lot has already been written about the local attraction - Sasha, who trades on the way to the beach. Very kind and generous person!! ! You can also safely change money with him, the rate is not the highest, but even talking with this smiling and friendly Indian will give you a lot of pleasure)).
Now, what needs to be brought here, and what is not required. It is better to bring your own tea and coffee if you are especially used to something. The rooms have electric kettles and even every day they put a bag of tea and instant coffee, but they are not very tasty, from the "burda" series. The hotel restaurant does not have natural coffee (only instant coffee) and sweets, such as in Turkey and Egypt. So you will not be able to get high with a cup of coffee with some sweet treat, for example, after dinner or in the evening. For breakfast, you can drink free coffee and tea, which are already diluted with milk, there is also just black tea.
Need beach towels. Mosquito repellents will not interfere, in the evening they get it.
There is an announcement in the rooms that you cannot bring your own fruits and drinks, otherwise a fine will be issued. But we still bought fruit, water and beer - no one said a word to us.
A fruit knife will not hurt if you buy them in the market.
The rooms have a small refrigerator, in which all drinks are paid. 5l bottles of water are always left in the rooms, you will have to pay 90 rupees for it, and 1l bottles of water for 30 rupees. Payment for water and paid products is made daily - the manager comes to the room and demands money. I will advise you right away - check the bottle caps so that they are industrially closed. We have repeated the story of the machinations of local campaigners several times. They brought bottles already open and then demanded money from us for supposedly using this water. ((
From clothes. Shorts, T-shirt, swimsuit and flip-flops are the main part of the wardrobe. But if you want civilization, then you can put on a dress and heels and trousers for dinner at the hotel. In shorts, too, no one will expel)).
The sun is very active, do not regret in the first days of a strong protective cream!
All basic purchases, including fruits, water, alcohol, medicines can be bought in the nearest settlement - Colva. As you go to the beach, immediately to the left along the seashore, 30 minutes along the beautiful coast, the sand is dense, it is a pleasure to walk. In Colva, you can safely bargain with all merchants, except for pharmacies and alcohol stores, knocking down the price at times)). For all medicines and alcohol, the price of GOA is fixed, so you can not look for cheaper places, but buy immediately at any place you like. There are ordinary pharmacies (there are fewer of them for some reason) and Ayurvedic ones, everywhere you can buy the necessary medicines, but in Ayurvedic pharmacies there are certainly fewer conventional medicines, but there is a huge amount of all sorts of local healing potions. All pharmacists speak Russian very decently, and sometimes even shelves with medicines are signed in Russian, for example, for headaches, for joints, etc. There are a lot of Russian tourists in pharmacies, everyone buys home cheap Indian medicines and creams.
And it should also be taken into account that the Indians have a siesta from 12 to 16, and sometimes until 17, they close their outlets for the hottest time.
Taxis in GOA are not at all cheap, and gasoline is expensive. So before you get into a taxi, you should discuss the cost of the trip and feel free to bargain too. A taxi from the hotel to Colva costs 300 rupees, which is about 300 rubles, but at first the taxi driver will tell you the price as much as 600 rupees, and it takes only 10-15 minutes to go. Taxi drivers are a special elite caste in India, arrogant, annoying and often tactless.
A lot has been written about excursions, I don’t want to repeat myself. Tours are not cheap at all. You can safely buy at travel agencies in Colva, many Russian guides work there, they will tell you everything and advise, and of course the price will be less than that of a tour operator. I highly recommend to go to Palolem beach on your own, go about 1-1.5 hours. Arrange with taxi drivers (they hang out daily right outside the hotel), bargain $40-50 for a car back and forth) and go there early in the morning for the whole day. The taxi will be waiting for you and will pick you up at the agreed time. This beach is very beautiful, there are rocks and stones where you can take beautiful photos, and most importantly, there are practically no waves, because. the beach is located in the bay. Only on Palolem we were able to fully swim. On the Betalbatim beach, next to the hotel, the waves are big and difficult to swim, swimming turns into fighting and jumping over the waves.
For massage lovers, I would highly recommend the super massage therapist Bashir (believe me, I know what I'm talking about) in the nearby Coconut Hotel, through which you will go to the beach. I was able to compare the quality of massage in our hotel and Bashir's. This is heaven and earth! So for health only to the crazy hands of Bashir. Prices are slightly higher than in the hotel, but it's worth it without a single doubt.
Well, perhaps that's all... The rest - everything is in your hands, capabilities and desires. A couple of days after arrival, we just fell in love with this place, we really want to return and we will definitely do it!!!??? ?

I read the negative reviews, but it turned out exactly the opposite. We sat down immediately after arrival at 9 o'clock, the standard room with a fresh renovation. The plumbing is new, there is no bath, but I don’t need it, because. I prefer showers in hotels. Cleaned well, towels, linen changed regularly, soap shampoo replenished daily.

The plumbing is new, there is no bath, but I don’t need it, because. I prefer showers in hotels. Cleaned well, towels, linen changed regularly, soap shampoo replenished daily. The territory is a small village in the jungle, only very well-groomed and comfortable. This is a huge number of different palms, flowers and creates an impression. that you are in India and somewhere near the jungle. . . About breakfast, I had enough coffee and toast with butter and jam, you can not eat an omelet if you don’t like it. Nothing was missing in the room, although they didn’t hide much. The beach is not far away, and the way from Alagoa to Coconut through the coconut grove you won’t even notice how you pass. . We ate in Fisherman's neck, everything was fine, unlike the neighboring one, where you sit at a table up to your ankles in the sand and some insects crawl on the table. The dishes are beautifully presented, tasty and not expensive. One serving was enough for two, although my husband and I are far from Thumbelina. There is not even anything to say about the Ocean - it is simply fabulously beautiful, like the endless sandy half-empty beach. Delight from the rest more than 3 years ago in Coconut. Thanks India, thanks Alagoa for the fairy tale. I don’t understand people who write negative reviews, why they fly to India at all: look for dust under the bed and garbage outside the territory or admire the unique nature, the ocean, the endless deserted beach and the sun. Gentlemen, you are in Gelendzhik, where I visited once, but I remember the Horizon Hotel for life

And now the time is 7 in the morning, we arrived at the hotel and were waiting for check-in, but we were immediately warned that check-in was only at 12 o'clock. . . Leaving things, we went to have breakfast, every day standard breakfasts, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, toasts with butter and jam, coffee or tea) What else do you want for 2 *? I think it's perfectly acceptable! Returning to the hotel lobby, they asked about the settlement, and what was the reaction to find out that we got a bungalow! ? Of course, only joyful) We are not picky tourists, so absolutely everything was arranged in the bungalow, LCD TV, large bed, wardrobe, minibar, shower room. The only negative is that the hot water was cold! Cleaned every day, bedbugs, cockroaches, lizards, there was nothing like that. For a tip, they will build beauty out of towels! But take mosquito repellent with you, we immediately prepared for this, so we were not attacked. The beach was found immediately, passing through a nearby hotel. They changed money at Sasha's in a tent (on the way to the beach), his Indian name is Durjan! He has a very good exchange rate. The beach is quite quiet, there are few people, well, this is only a plus for lovers of peace and tranquility. A 25-minute walk from Colva Beach, where there is a market and shops. . . Bargain, and moreover, to the victorious one, what costs 750 can be snatched for 150 rupees! We had lunch and dinner in different establishments, their portions are literally Spartan, my sister and I always took one serving for two, hearty and tasty, the food is not spicy at all, we didn’t get food poisoning, the seafood is amazing, you will lick your fingers! And for a tip, the staff will always lick you. In general, we are completely satisfied with the rest, everything suits absolutely everything! Which means we'll be back!

We went with a friend in early April 2015. I'll start with the settlement. Showed a room on the second floor without a balcony, we asked for a balcony, to which the administrator replied that with a balcony it would be a suite, for which you still need to pay $ 8 per day. And they showed a room with a balcony, but with old furniture, a shabby refrigerator and the same old TV.

After conferring, we decided to stop at the first proposed option. Then, of course, it turned out that there was nothing like that, with a balcony there was no “suite” room and it was not worth paying extra for it, as we expected. So the credibility of the staff was undermined from the very beginning. Then it took us a lot of time to find an outlet to the sea. The reviews say that you need to go through the palm grove and the territory of the neighboring hotel, but we did not find where to enter it. And around the pool of our hotel, construction has begun, eco-houses are being built, as we later learned from other vacationers, this has been going on for the second year. We didn't find any signs anywhere. The palm grove actually turned out to be a dirt road, lined thinly on both sides with palm trees. . We wandered around for a long time, until we realized that we had gone far but did not find access to the sea, returned to our hotel, asked if it turned out to be necessary to go through the lobby of the neighboring Coconut Grove hotel. It turns out that these hotels have one owner, and in the future we walked with great pleasure around the territory of this hotel than ours. It is more well-groomed, planted with exotic plants and flowers. There, at the reception, Wi-Fi is much better than on the territory of our restaurant and than on the beach. About monotonous breakfasts, consisting of two eggs, have already been written more than once, so I will not repeat myself. Lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant is 2 times more expensive than in the neck at the Raj on the beach. The refrigerator in the room is very noisy, in addition, the windows overlook the transformer box, it is buzzing around the clock, it feels like we are living on a powder keg. And on weekends, locals come to relax from the working week, arrange festivities with discos by the pool until the morning. And not just on weekends, it can be in the middle of the week. As a result, I never slept peacefully. The hotel staff looks at these festivities through their fingers, and even favorably. Mosquitoes are everywhere, nothing takes them, we had our own fumigator, we also bought 2 local ones, it seems as soon as they act on them, but to no avail. Somewhere on the third night of my stay, I found 3 bedbugs on the sheets, a couple of them crushed, with splashes of blood. They told the chief administrator, he denied everything. They wanted to show him, so he sent his assistant ahead, he saw, quickly shook it off and took the sheet. When the chief came, there were no traces, and he continued to deny. We realized that it is useless to argue, they will never admit this fact, so as not to lose guests. True, they did some disinfection in the room while we were on the beach. We understood this by the fact that even the goosebumps from the table disappeared. It didn't get rid of the mosquitoes though. On the last day, when we were packing our bags, we also saw a cockroach in the room. I would like to finish with a pleasant one, and this is of course the sea. It is wonderfully warm and soft. At first there were waves for several days, so it was difficult to swim. And the last days became calmer and we were able to swim and swim to our heart's content. . The end of the season, there were few people, it happened that we were alone on the whole beach. Conclusion: if you go to Betalbatim, the sea / beach is excellent there, then definitely not to this hotel! Better in "Coconut Grove" or "Nanu Resort 3 *", it is located in the neighborhood a little further along the coast. And if you have a choice, then of course go to Sri Lanka, there are heavenly places, it’s clean and the attitude towards guests is better.

I will not repeat the previous review - I completely agree with him. A detailed story about my trip here http://blogs. turpravda. ua/Iren48/105942.html I will add just a few points. The linen was finally purchased new - snow-white, with the name of the hotel embroidered with red threads in the corner. Towels are only a little old, but not very.

I will not repeat the previous review - I completely agree with him. A detailed story about my trip here http://blogs. turpravda. ua/Iren48/105942.html
I will add just a few points. The linen was finally purchased new - snow-white, with the name of the hotel embroidered with red threads in the corner. Towels are only a little old, but not very. The TV was turned on only once. He worked lousy, and we did not find a single Russian channel. Everything else functioned properly.
Despite the fact that leftovers were thrown on the balcony for the night, no living creatures came to them. Saw a couple of big ants when I opened the side window. But we lived, though on the 4th floor (room 404). No one bit us in the room, no bed bugs, no mosquitoes. In order to avoid mosquitoes, the doors to the balcony were not opened in the evening. Yes, I'm not sure of their existence, despite the swamps surrounding the hotel. Arriving in the room, we had dinner on the balcony, turning on the air conditioner for this time to cool the room. It is better not to turn on the light on the balcony - all sorts of insects will curl around it and then fall on the table. We turned on the light in the room - it was enough. But it's better not to open the door. Going to bed, the air conditioner was turned off. it blows on the bed, and the fan is turned on at low speed. It was comfortable under the sheet and without it too.
We carried the currency with us, and kept the hryvnia in a locked suitcase. A couple of times they left the tablet in the same place - nothing was missing. But they seem to be looking into the wardrobe - an empty bottle from under the water has disappeared. Soundproofing is generally good. But only if they do not make noise in the corridor, and on the neighboring balcony. The hotel was populated almost exclusively by Russians, but it was quiet. Well, the neighbors who returned at night will slam the doors, but that's okay. There is a sign in the corridor asking you not to make noise after 22.
They cleaned normally, but we didn’t litter much. Left 10 rupees + caramel.
In general, the hotel is very even nothing if it were not for the feature of the hotel with a ban on bringing their own products. Details in the story.
If you have any additional questions, I'll be happy to answer.

We checked into this not a bad cozy hotel on November 1) we knew where we were going and did not count on some kind of luxury))) and we don’t need it! First of all, you go to see the country! to be there) after all, you’re not going there for permanent residence : ) In general, I don’t see any reason to pay big money for a hotel where you only come to spend the night : ) The hotel is located near Betalbatim beach.

First of all, you go to see the country! to be there) after all, you’re not going there for permanent residence : ) In general, I don’t see any reason to pay big money for a hotel where you only come to spend the night : ) The hotel is located near Betalbatim beach. The road to the beach lies through a green palm grove and the Coconut grove 4*) hotel. Every day it was very pleasant to pass through a grove and a rice field, where a herd of buffalo were grazing, and enjoy the surrounding landscapes : )
At the hotel we only had breakfasts (scrambled eggs, tea / coffee / juice, toast with jam) but this was enough) And we had lunch or dinner already on the beach in shek. We loved to eat in Fisherman at Joe's) and on the way to Colva in the shek on the beach at Pinto) a very good boy, and does everything to make people happy with him : ) The hotel has a swimming pool and an Ayurvedic massage center) went to massage to Shchenodzh every day! took a course of massages: ) really liked it! The staff at the hotel is friendly! and when we had a problem in the room, the toilet was broken or something else, they quickly responded and came to fix everything! only they have brown stains on their beds! it's just that they wash them like that, it's okay)) When you ask them to change, they immediately change everything, but the truth is exactly the same : ))) but this is not so important! From the window we had a wonderful view of the swamp with blooming lotuses, exotic birds and palm trees in the distance! I was very pleased with this view in the morning... This picture still stands before my eyes : ) The beach is wonderful, wide with white sand and crunches like snow in winter ) Now I walk down the street in the winter in the snow and remember the crunch of that warm, pleasant sand : ) The ocean is warm, there were almost always waves, the water is not transparent because of the sand. And often the fish swam up and tickled, it was a little scary : ))) it just seemed that it wasn’t fish, but some kind of water snakes or stingrays) well, apart from fish and starfish, we didn’t meet anyone else, fortunately!
Wi-Fi is paid. Well, it’s good, spend less time on the Internet : )
Also on site there is a shop with jewelry at good prices, mom bought a set with sapphires there. And on the territory of the nearby Coconuta hotel there is also a good small shop where you can find a lot of things from magnets to jewelry at good prices.
In general, whoever does not pursue luxury hotels, who needs a not very expensive cozy hotel and vivid impressions of nature and relaxation, I advise you to go there : )
Goa is a place where you really relax with your soul, where you want to return again and again!

After reading good reviews about Alagoa, we decided to go to this hotel. On the first day, everything pleased us: rum, heat, India, hotel, beach. The next day we woke up with itching all over our body. The balcony was closed, there were no mosquitoes in the room. Then thoughts of bedbugs began to creep in. Having examined the entire room, I found both ants and cockroaches. and....a bug on the mattress. Vacation was ruined. We complained to the reception, but they did not understand us. We tried to leave this hotel early and arrive as late as possible. Slept on the beach during the day. It is clear that we did not even want to have breakfast in this "hotel". I was even afraid to imagine what was happening in the kitchen if the rooms were so unsanitary. We will never forget this "vacation" in India.

Hello! I rested with my mother in South Goa from 02.02. 2012 to 11.02. 2012 at the Ala Goa Hotel. We saw many hotels in South Goa when the tour bus called at each hotel. We stated that we liked our hotel the most. When we got together, we thought that we need to get ready for a real wild tourism. We thought that we would not see comfort and a normal level of hygiene.

Read the reviews, prepared for the worst, and took a lot of wet antiseptic wipes with them, they brought everything back. Used only somewhere half a pack that was put in a purse. But the antiseptic gel came in handy. We were wrong. In our room: a large comfortable bed, always very clean, good LCD TV, split system, mini bar, table, chair, wardrobe, mirror, good bathroom, telephone. I can't complain about anything. The view from the window to the rice fields and palm trees along which small chipmunks sometimes run. Breakfasts are like breakfasts. I still remember the taste of jam - delicious. The kitchen in the hotel (paid) is very good! . Be sure to try the traditional stew, interesting taste. Very satisfying. The hotel prices are the same as on the beach. The hotel Germans, French, British. There are few Russians. A young couple took us on a tour of the beaches. We chipped in a taxi, very profitable. We passed all the most popular beaches. But I liked more the one we went to every day from our hotel. Walking from the hotel to the sea is a great pleasure. A beautiful grove, then a little walk through the hotel and a gorgeous deserted beach! Life on the beach? Crabs less than a centimeter in size, white ones burrowing into the sand, and once they saw how the Indians walked with a buffalo. Everything! This is all life. The hotel has a small swimming pool, but we never visited it, there were classes without it. A television. Russian channel - Russia 1. But Indian, about forty. Look at Indian advertisements, they are very cool. Excursions. Take a taxi along the beaches, bargain with him for a long time. We bought excursions from Pegasus: The charm of old Goa, Elephants, spices, a waterfall, Arpora Night Market - we are satisfied with everything. In no case do not change money at the airport - do not listen to anyone. We read the reviews where they advised only the airport, we lost 8000 rupees on this. They change everywhere, the hotel, on the way to the beach, on the beach, everywhere. We walked along the beach to Colva, there were a lot of shops and food, souvenirs and jewelry, it was interesting. They bought me a ring with dark blue sapphires in silver. Just for memory. Sapphires are cheap because the cut is of inferior quality, but still sapphires. It cost somewhere around 2000 rubles. I don't remember how many rupees. Buy shoes, cheap and good, mostly all genuine leather. In short, I liked everything except for one guide who ignored us.

It was 22 days. At the hotel (hereinafter -From. ) I only had breakfast and slept. From. after the repair, all the furniture is normal, nothing crumbles and is not screwed to the walls (as written in previous reviews) The cleaning is really bad, they never swept on the balcony. The bed was changed only on request. Meals included breakfast (2 slices of bread, butter, jam and 2 eggs, tea or coffee), so all the variety is only for extra. money In From. Didn't have lunch or dinner, they don't cook well. We ate in the neck to the right of the path to the beach (the best prices and delicious, for 22 days no one was poisoned and not vilified) The portions are large - the man gorges himself. For 3 women they took 2 servings. The name The begging rest or they also say "Raj" Raj is an employee of this neck, a cat. speaks Russian well. They can also call the Russian Federation for only 10 rupees (6 rubles) per minute. They changed money from Grisha and Sasha, they sit on the way to the beach (you won’t miss it) the best prices for E are 63 rupees and $ -48.3 rubles. Here. the exchange rate is worse than the dollar -45 rupees. About excursions, they took everything from taxi drivers, which is 2-2.5 times cheaper. At Ot. there is no territory, there is a pool, but we did not swim there. Around From. rice fields and buffalo pastures. There were no mosquitoes Slept with an open balcony without air conditioning and a fan. Unfortunately there were no lizards in my room. (they are useful - they eat insects and are not poisonous) In From. no one speaks Russian, their English. the language is even more difficult to understand. The beach is large, clean, but around completely candy wrappers, bags and bottles. True, all this does not stink, since there is nothing to rot, (everything edible is licked to the crumbs) And so everywhere throughout the country, along all roads and houses. The beach is visited by locals on Fridays and Sundays, after them there is garbage, like after our picnics in the parks. They just don't take anything away from them. All Indians are very friendly. Especially in the neck, everything you need will be brought even at sea, they will book a sunbed for tomorrow, etc. . By the way, the masseur Gopal also works there - he makes a relaxing and acupressure massage. If anyone goes, say hello to Raj and Gopal from Natalia from Moscow. For rags, souvenirs and fruits, we walked 25 minutes along the seashore to Colva. Everywhere haggle the price can be knocked down by half or more. By the way, in Colva, on the left side of the main street, there is a very good pharmacy. In it, all the funds are painted in Russian, and the young hostess says. There are medicines, cosmetics, dietary supplements, toothpastes, etc. from Himalaya verbal. For all sores there is a Russian language. drug lists. We went back from Colva by tuk-tuk for 100 rupees (60 rubles). In general - do not be afraid! Go to this From. For all 22 days with souvenirs, dresses (7 pieces), bags (3 pieces), cosmetics, dinners and lunches (on average for 700 rupees) I spent only 300 euros. But the season lasts from October to May, and then the rains and everything ends. If you have any questions, write - I will answer. (natawka46@yandex. ru)

Don't get drunk, don't tear up, etc.
