Goa - the best holiday EVER BEEN
We rested in Goa in November 2016. We chose North Goa for ourselves, as we read that this is more of a youth holiday. We chose not very expensive, but good enough hotel Casablanca 3 * in Candolim, with which we were very pleased with the choice!
North Goa is a very cool place for outdoor activities! Here you can find and buy absolutely any thing: from homemade elephants to chic jewelry (or jewelry - handmade beads for 50 rupees = less than $ 1). You can rent a bike or ride a rickshaw to the beautiful beach near Fort Aguada for some $2-3.
I definitely recommend visiting the juice center in Chapora! The place is not particularly remarkable for a beginner, but it is worth visiting there once, trying this amazing mango fresh for 80 rupees (a little over $ 1), which the girl calmly fills up for lunch, or a huge bowl of salad that is topped with a hefty piece of vanilla ice cream, so you won’t be able to pass by without stopping at the mosaic banyan : )
I want to note that no matter what they say about the beaches of North Goa (dirt, garbage, etc. ) - DO NOT BELIEVE! The beaches, even the most active and party Calangute, Candolim and Baga, are very clean! You will not find a piece of paper or a bottle, as, for example, in many domestic resorts! Yes, cows are on the beach, but they are absolutely harmless, lying to themselves, admiring the sea - so be it! And she feels good, and all the vacationers : ) Personally, it was wonderful for us, it was only the first couple of days, then you get used to it and already perceive it as an ordinary thing.
So the beaches are very good, wide, with a gentle entrance and almost no waves (as for the beginning of November). There are a lot of cafes on the beaches (we went to the south - we suck a little there), where for a bottle of water you can lie on a sunbed for at least a whole day!
Still, Goa is great! I recommend this kind of rest to everyone: for the soul, thoughts and brains : )
