In a day you know all the local inhabitants of the street and merchants who are very friendly and not annoying. Those who have been to India will understand that this is a rarity and the road to the beach from most hotels is quite tiring, but here it is complete relaxation. By the way, by Indian standards, the hotel is on the first line and is considered 4 stars. If we compare in terms of maintenance, cleaning and service, then it is at the level of most Turkish and Egyptian fives (I’ll make a reservation right away that this is not a Savoy and not four seasons, but the price level is above average).
For North Goa the hotel is great. Near the pool, the beach boy will make sure that the sun does not hit you and move sun loungers with umbrellas as much as necessary, take fresh towels at least five times a day, just go out to the pool and they will immediately install everything for you, open umbrellas on both sides, spread a towel and not one, but two, so that the legs do not touch the deck chair. The waiters from the bar constantly bypass vacationers and carry drinks even to the pool, even to the room, even to the lawn. There are simply no bar trips and queues. The same is true with food. Prices in the restaurant and minibar are the same and differ from the store by 5-10 pounds for all drinks and water. We didn’t even bother and took everything we wanted right at the hotel. We had breakfast and dinner, which we did not regret, because. the difference in price was $100 for three, but it is very convenient and varied enough for India. All got better. But the food there is not adapted for Europeans and is very spicy, although tasty. The service in the restaurant is excellent, all drinks are delivered by the waiters instantly, everyone remembers what you like and where you prefer to sit. Breakfasts, as everywhere in India, consist of omelettes, eggs, several types of jam, butter, sweet buns of 5 types, flatbreads, meat sausages, fresh vegetables and several types of fruits (pineapples, watermelon and bananas), tea, coffee (bad) and juices. Cleaning and linen change is daily and without complaints, the cleaner will never come to your room if you are there, one day we stayed by the pool so he waited until 5 pm and only after that they came running from the reception and asked for permission to clean. Well organized with them and signing receipts for drinks and food. you don’t get your wallet until the very departure, you take everything all day and only after dinner they bring you a printed check for the whole day and she signs it. For the sake of interest, they checked it a couple of times - everything was for sure, then sometimes they even forgot to sign it, and at the end of the holiday we were given a complete printout for each day. It is very convenient when the waiters themselves monitor everything and do not run after you with a checkbook after each glass.
In summary, I’ll say that Terra Paraiso has all the conditions for a relaxing holiday, where the head turns off completely, everything will be done for you and they will court you from all sides. None of the staff even hinted at any tips for the rest of the holiday, but having received 50 pounds (1 dollar) on the day of departure, they thanked as best they could.
Probably such excellent service is explained by the fact that the owner of the hotel is Portuguese. We were at the very end of the season, on April 20 almost all necks on the necks beach are closed and most of the hotels were half empty, and Terra Paraiso was completely filled with vacationers. This speaks volumes. True, at this time, wealthy Indians, and not Europeans, begin to prevail there, but the absence of Russian tourists guarantees silence and sobriety. It was very interesting to watch Indian families and especially the Sighs.
I liked the hotel rooms. We had a super deluxe, which is twice as large as usual, has a jacuzzi and a terrace overlooking the pool, regular rooms overlook the body side or the walls.
Before the trip, I was very afraid to go to a 3-star hotel, because before that I had only rested in 5-star hotels, Tunisia, Spain, Egypt and Turkey, but finding a good hotel as close as possible to the sea in the Calangute area is very problematic, but for us it was necessary to this place. Having reviewed hotels of all categories and re-read a significant number of reviews on English-language sites, I took the risk of choosing Terra Paraiso and did not regret it for a single minute.
