HOTEL. Candolim area. The hotel is well located, 2 minutes to the beach, 2 minutes to the main road, there are no noisy parties and karaoke bars nearby. There are few rooms, rarely intersect with any of the residents. 45-50 minutes walk to Fort Aguada, walking past the fishing village.
ROOM. Two stars and there are two - nothing more. There was a TV, but it wasn't turned on, so I don't know if there are Russian channels. There is a refrigerator, keep fruits only there, otherwise the ants will be your regular guests. There is no safe in the room, there is one at the reception, but you need to buy a lock in the store. But the "safe" itself does not inspire confidence, all these cheap locks bought in the nearest shop are opened with a pin, and closed in the same way, then prove that you had it there. We all carried with us: money, passports - in a bag over our shoulder (I just don’t advise on the shoulder, in a nearby hotel, a bag was pulled from a motorcycle from two women’s shoulders on the very first day with passports and money). The key was not left for cleaning, having read reviews about the laziness of local cleaners, we felt that we were not losing anything. Garbage was collected in a bag and given to the boy from the reception. I don’t know if they came in in our absence (and we only came to spend the night) with their key, but nothing was missing from the room. The water heater is turned on from the room from a row of switches next to the front door.
FOOD. Breakfast is included from the meal: coffee and toast with butter and jam, for money you can order an omelette. We ate each time in new restaurants and shakes - there are many of them, each time in a new place. Everywhere there is a menu in Russian. The biggest bill for two is 800 rupees, somewhere around 600 rubles, they barely left the table, gorged themselves on king prawns. And so, on average, 400-500 rupees for two for lunch / dinner, you can burst to the bone.
SEA. The sea is wonderful, clean, you go waist-deep - your feet are visible. The descent is smooth, you will go 20 meters away - and only the water level is up to your chest. From living creatures - only crabs run around at low tide. The nature of the shore is such that there are waves all the time, you can wallow in them near the shore.
We plan to visit this hotel again in the new season. In everyday life, we are unpretentious, and the hotel is very well located: it is quiet and everything is within walking distance.
