The five of us rested at the Royal Mirage Beach 2 * (ex Morjim Club) hotel from 10/19/2016 to 10/30/2016. was good, there were few people. The Indians said that the rains ended on 15.10. We were all girls, we had 2 double rooms and 1 single room. And there was a very interesting history with the settlement. Together we bought a tour in Moscow, at the Coral Travel office, but the tour operator for three of us (I was one of them) was Biblioglobus and the hotel was called Royal Mirage Beach, and for two the tour operator was Anex and they were told that they would live in a nearby with us a hotel called Royal Mirage. Departure for two from Anex and three from Biblioglobus was at different times and from different airports. The girls from Anex flew half a day before us. The seven-hour flight was satisfactory, the food was normal. At the airport, enterprising Indians, without asking us, removed our suitcases from the assembly line and demanded 100 rubles per suitcase for this.
We did not offend the guys - we paid, but when they wanted to carry their suitcases further - to the bus, we did not agree with this))). The bus (namely ours) was battered (maybe because we were going to the poor North, and not to the rich South of Goa). Some kind of makeshift wooden door separated the driver from the passengers - we were horrified. In general, all five of us were in India for the first time and were afraid of poverty and unsanitary conditions - we took a bunch of medicines, disinfectant wipes and hand gels with us - now I remember it with a smile))). In general, we steamed in a hot bus for an hour while it was standing, and then we went - we didn’t know what we were waiting for ... Then the air conditioner started working and the one who did not have time to put the jackets in the suitcase (not me! ) - very lucky. We drove to Morjim for 2 hours.
We were sitting at the end of the bus and I thought that by the end of the trip all my insides would be on the floor - there are sooooo many speed bumps in Goa, they are quite high, and the driver was parallel to them. Our hotel was in the middle of the road. In general, we drove up to the road that leads to our hotel from the main one and some negotiations began with the accompanying guide and the driver. As it turned out, the driver said that he couldn’t get to the hotel itself because there was either a narrow road ahead, or the bus wouldn’t turn around at the end of the road, and he had to carry other tourists. In general, the guide said that we ordered a taxi from the road to the hotel, but for now we will go with them and take the rest of the tourists. After an hour on the road to the airport of departure (Moscow), 2 hours of waiting there, 7 hours in the air, an hour of waiting at the airport in India and 2 hours on the road to Morjim, this news did not please us at all!

In general, I will omit the details, everything was fine, the taxi arrived and took us where we needed to go. The view of the hotel shocked us. There is no territory (not fenced, but none at all), there is no reception - just in the alley there is a two-story house-hotel and that's it ! ! ! The beach, thank God, was nearby - across the street. And what was our surprise when two of our friends came out of the room to meet us, who flew out half a day earlier than us and had to live in another hotel ! ! ! In general, except for our girlfriends, all the other residents of 9 rooms out of 10 existing, BUY A TOUR TO ANOTHER HOTEL - Royal Mirage keyword BEACH ! ! ! The Royal Mirage Beach Hotel, indeed, stood nearby, but they didn’t let us in there, saying that we didn’t buy it and couldn’t buy it for the reason that for a couple of years neither Anex nor Biblioglobus have been working with it, and here in India everything is about they know this (at that time, the guides of these tour operators had already arrived at the hotel) !! !
We were already so tired that we just needed some rooms with air conditioning, a toilet and a shower, which was provided to us at the Royal Mirage hotel. As it turned out later, the rooms in Royal Mirage Beach and Royal Mirage look exactly the same, only Royal Mirage Beach has a fenced (albeit small and public) area and a swimming pool, as well as a third floor-veranda where theoretically one could have breakfast . Plus, the quality of repairs in Royal Mirage Beach is better than in Royal Mirage. We didn’t have a reception in Royal Mirage, but in Royal Mirage Beach there was some kind of booth at the entrance to the territory - apparently it was a reception))). But instead we had a boy Roni and a girl with an unpronounceable name, who spoke English with a strong Indian accent and mangled words, but we understood each other))). They did not speak Russian and did not understand at all))). Good guys, but with a peculiar Indian life position - never and never do today what you can do tomorrow)))).
For 4 days I could not fix the faucet in the sink, I had to wash myself in the shower)))). Moreover, they answered the guide’s calls that they had already fixed it, then that they moved me to another room, etc. the electricity and the hotel's router were cut off, which, by the way, hung opposite on a palm tree - it was not alo), then it was not possible to quickly resolve the issue with the crane. In general, we had 2 options - to be upset and be negative for 2 weeks, or to give a damn about everything and have fun. We chose pleasure. As a result, we liked Goa so much that it's been almost 2 months since we returned from there, but all five are still impressed! ! ! This indifferent life, when you walk around in incomprehensible clothes, in flip flops and you don’t have any problems - it’s worth a lot !! !
The sea (essentially the ocean) is super. Calm.

The entry is very gentle, until you reach the waist-deep depth, you will get tired))). But this is not Turkey for you. The strength of the ocean is specifically felt by the waves. They are huge. This is a type of surf))). From the shore you look like not big waves, but how such a small wave will beat you - it won’t seem enough! We immediately understood what the guide's words mean, that the waves can really drag you into the ocean! Because, probably, no one swims! He went up to the chest maximum - and left))). Rescuers walk with some kind of items such as foam surfboards, as I understand it, because it’s unrealistic to swim with a rescued person there without such a board! Almost every day in the morning there is a show - the fishermen pull out the nets, the whole beach comes running to see what is there))). Sometimes they get a huge squid, sometimes a cuttlefish!
The sand on the beach is dark and so dense, compressed - it is very comfortable to walk on it. But dirty!
And dogs are everywhere. Not aggressive, but somehow it was not very good for me.
Indians on them in parallel.
In the rooms, except for the tap))) everything worked including air conditioners and nothing broke. There was no cleaning. But I told the Roni boy that I needed cleaning and he said yes, ma'am. Free. But I gave him 100 rupees for it. They didn’t want to give us drinking water, but when we realized that we knew that we were entitled to it for free, they began to give 1.5 liters per day per room without a reminder. Linen and towels are not changed until you ask, we asked a couple of times. Breakfast at the hotel is about nothing - 2 pieces of bread for toast (not toast, just bread), jam, butter, watermelon. Every other day, alternate 1 boiled egg with fried eggs from 1 egg. It's not tasty. On the beach - that's another thing! For 120 rupees (which is about 120 rubles) you can buy (they will bring you straight to the sunbed) 2 delicious toasts with butter and an omelette of two eggs with tomato and herbs + 50 rupees a cup of coffee with milk = super breakfast for 170 rubles! For one, this is even a lot, for two it is the most!
The dollar exchange rate in Goa is about the same everywhere, for 100 dollars they give about 6600 rupees, you can change a lot where, we changed in two shops right next to the hotel. A little further there was a full-fledged exchanger, they even accepted rubles. And it was even possible to exchange rupees back for rubles at the end of the holiday.

Next to us was the Fish & Feni cafe, and if you go along the beach to the left, there was Bora-Bora, then Rock Bite and Goan Cafe. If you go along the road in the same direction, then after Bora Bora the road turns left and there will be another cafe (I don’t remember the name), it’s also delicious there. The guys there smoke grass and are pleasantly mistaken in the calculations))). They offered to buy a smoke, but we did not dare))). Further, closer to the crossroads, tents with clothes and civilization begin))), there are many cafes, but we didn’t eat there, we only bought fruits at the crossroads. In general, in all cafes in different ways, everywhere is delicious, but we liked it the most on the beach in Rock Bite.
There we always ate all sorts of fresh fish for lunch and / or dinner (and shark baby ahhha) and squid and king prawns and momo (spicy dumplings). We tried all sorts of soups - delicious. Rice is very tasty. Of course, we tried the substituted garlik naan (Indian garlic bread) - also very tasty! And of course Old Monk rum is super! In a cafe, it is not at all the same (many times better) than in stores (different ones were bought both in glass and in plastic and in different places), but in stores it is also sooo worthy, only they drank it and bring it home and not enough (seen at the airport people carry it with suitcases! ). And now attention! Not once in 2 weeks did anyone have any symptoms of an intestinal infection! Despite the fact that we forgot to wipe our hands every 5 minutes on the second day!
All cafes have wi-fi, it works fine, but remember about power outages, they usually happen during the day (this is good - you sleep with air conditioning! ) And in the morning from 8 in the morning.
It seemed to us that in India everyone is friendly, open, kind. Indian men stare at white women, but they don't pester, they don't whistle, they don't make vulgar jokes and they don't fit at all. Just look))). Once a friend noticed that a young Indian guy was spinning around me on the beach and supposedly talking on the phone, while he was filming me on this phone ! ! ! And Indian girls who work in shops or sell clothes on the beach - they constantly extend their hand and greet you by the hand. We thought it was so accepted by them and only on the last day on the tour we learned from the guide that for them touching a white type person brings good luck. Well, men do not dare, apparently, but girls easily!
My friends walked along the beach (this is if you go to the right) 6 km to Arambol. They didn’t like it there, they say you won’t find your sunbed out of the sea - there are a lot of people!

Then we went to the left, we wanted to reach Mandrem and Ashvem, but it turned out there was no road there))), then we went by bus to Mupasu to the market. We bought some low-quality consumer goods - bags, etc. Were in Panaji - it looks like an Arab city - sand and houses. We went to the Paradise beach on the chaise longue - it was a super exciting and fun trip))). There is nothing on this beach. Only white shiny (like sequins) sand and the sea))). Of the excursions, we went only to the spice plantation (I liked it). They said it was still impossible for the rest of the excursions - the roads were washed out after the Doge season.

In general, all five of us RECOMMEND that you ALWAYS visit Goa. You won't regret it, that's for sure! ! ! Go at the end of October, like us - it's not hot yet, there are fewer people, prices are lower!
