We were in Goa for the second time. The first time - in the south, Varca beach (there is a review). This year, the children persuaded me to go to North Goa. We chose this "hotel" (the language does not dare to call it that) on a "wonderful" beach. Although the Majim beach itself is large and there are normal places, just not near Piracha. Although in order.
First, about North and South Goa. If you like drunk or stoned companies, swearing, bikes at top speeds (everywhere), crowds of local beggars and other pleasures - I ask you to go to the Northern part of the state.
By the way, the prices here are also "democratic". Half of the shakes are held by Slavs (hence the prices). Most of the tourists are ours and locals. You can draw conclusions.

There are pluses. Closer to the local population, ie. infrastructure: roads, the same bikes, shops, housing (by the way, you can find it very inexpensively and with decent conditions). Hotels are 90% "camping along the road". The pool is very rare, TVs and refrigerators - too. Service. Forget this word! Everything else... I kept thinking about O. Henry's book "Kings and Cabbage". Somewhere like that! Hashish everywhere! Well, I won’t write about the behavior of our people with the unlimited use of this and local rum at $ 2.5 per bottle of 0.75!
About the hotel. We lived in villas. Dilapidated, wicker houses. There is no insulation at all, the water barely flows, rats, frogs and other evil spirits come at night (holes are everywhere). There are no refrigerators. The truth is given by rapters, because there are mosquitoes. All the time something breaks, the light disappears, the Internet (there is Wi Fi). In the "restaurant" in the morning two slices of bread (toast), an airplane bag of jam and butter, tea or coffee. Everything. The rest is for money. We took scrambled eggs twice, despite the hour-long wait, but after they brought a burnt and cooled piece of something incomprehensible, we stopped doing this. After that, we ceased to exist for them. Yes, the "hotel" is right on the road.
Beach. There is no nature at all. Buses with the local population constantly arrive. Sunbeds - one on one. We went to the next one (about a kilometer). It was more fun, fewer locals and more spacious.
Shops are about 1.5 km away. Not scary. Everything is 2-3 times cheaper there. But there is no place to store it. They took cheese - not bad. Beer (0.66) - 50 tugriks, on the beach 100-120.
We used local buses. Cheap and pretty decent. To the capital, 100 rupees round trip for two. Drive 1.5 hours. By taxi 800-1000.
Well, I won't write much about everything else. Who was in Goa will come again. Anyone who hasn't been must visit at least once. This is a fairytale! Beaches, ocean, cleanliness (this is a huge plus! ). The beaches are being cleaned all the time. Thailand and Bali are resting! The people are very friendly and... well, children and that's it! It is a pity for our invasion. I don't think this story will last long.
Advice. Go to Panaji (Pajim) for "shopping". Great brand stores and inexpensive. Mostly sportswear, jeans, etc. In the bazaars - beach junk.
I will never, ever go on vacation to North Goa!
And I do not advise you. Youth don't count!
