The rooms have kitchens that are only open to local guests. from the Russians they are simply locked up. The kitchen itself has a fridge and stove. the restaurant also has an even layer of dust on the tables. on the first day of our arrival there was a puddle of spilled tea on the table. during our entire stay, no one bothered to wipe this stain. in some rooms you can not look for hot water, because. There is simply NO water heater. it is better not to swim in the pool, its walls are covered with greenery.

Dear friends! We stayed at this hotel in February 2018. I visited India 6 times, I saw many hotels, but I could not even imagine such a horror. Dirt, mold, always barking flocks of dogs, screaming crows, repairs in the neighboring building, a mosquito nursery. Do not look at the tempting price, it is better to pay a little extra and relax in peace.

We traveled with three friends. In hotels, in fact, only spent the night. I can name the pros, and so: The hotel is located in the liveliest place of Candolim (Calangute) just near supermarkets and cafes, to go to the sea from the strength of 3-5 minutes. Nearby there is everything you need and shops and pharmacies, and even a new nightclub LPK WITH FREE ENTRANCE FOR GIRLS, WHICH IS VERY PLEASANT.

THE HOTEL IS A BEAUTIFUL LARGE GREEN TERRITORY, THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY, WELL UNLIKE THE HOTEL DIRECTOR.
Of the minuses, this is that the breakfasts are very meager, but this is not a minus either, since they are everywhere in India, and there is no free WIFI. AND SO IN OTHER EVERYTHING IS OKAY.

Just awful. The operator positioned the hotel as 3 stars, although there is nothing to do with this concept. Changed numbers twice. The first one was generally terrible and smelly, it had two beds, seedy bedside tables and EVERYTHING: where is the TV, air conditioning, etc. There was not even shampoo, soap, one towel for two.

The first one was generally terrible and smelly, it had two beds, seedy bedside tables and EVERYTHING: where is the TV, air conditioning, etc. There was not even shampoo, soap, one towel for two. The smell of mold was jumping in the room frog. Imagine the impression of people arriving on vacation in a 3-star hotel. On the first day they refused to change the room, then they gave the same one, but without the smell and frogs. But again empty. They began to ask the operator to change the hotel, then the staff gave another room in which it was already possible to stay (two rooms, a TV, a normal closet). They immediately asked us to return home, we were offered to buy a ticket for our own money (1200 US dollars, which we no longer had). They became hostages in a foreign country.
All negotiations took 3-4 days out of 6 days of rest. All in all, the holiday was ruined. Thank you travel agent.
So I want to go to India again.

Good day!! ! Rested in this hotel from 24.01 to 04.02. 2011. To be honest, I rested in many places, and in India for the first time, so I read a lot of horrors and go on the road))) The hotel is strangely normal compared to what they write in some reviews! Good day!! ! Rested in this hotel from 24.01 to 04.02. 2011. To be honest, I rested in many places, and in India for the first time, so I read a lot of horrors and go on the road))) The hotel is strangely normal compared to what they write in some reviews! Immediately fellow travelers, be prepared for the fact that hotels in India are not the same hotels as in Egypt and in Turkey))) I'll start from the moment I arrive at the hotel:
1. upon arrival at the hotel, we were immediately settled, but in a disgusting room in the Lotus building on the first floor. Although the room is spacious and with a balcony, but firstly the first floor, there are no chairs or a table on the balcony, and the view from it is on a bright red fence that stands opposite at a distance of two meters! in the room the walls are yellow, the bedspread is blue, the san. knot shabby, lack of towels, toilet paper, soap accessories!! ! And there was a musty smell in the room! I understand that a hotel room in India is taken only for sleeping, and even then not always, but I like to sleep in normal conditions!
2. After a request at the reception to move us, the answer was received that after 10 am, then they promised after 11, but after my hysteria began, the number for exchange was found instantly and without any additional payments !!!
3. They gave several rooms to choose from, stopped at 310, this is a room in the Lotus building on the third floor overlooking the pool and the neighboring building! the room is also not the first freshness, but there are all such in Indian hotels you will not find European-quality repairs, especially in 2.3 stars! And another oddity this hotel every tour. the operator raises in different ways, who has a three-ruble note, and who has a kopeck piece !! ! we did not recognize the real stardom !!!
4. The room was cleaned every time the key was left at the reception, nothing was lost in the room! cleaned normally, the floor washed, bedding and towels changed!
5. bed linen and towels are a solid gray color, but it seems to feel clean! you will not see starched sheets here !!!
6. raptors were saved from mosquitoes in the room, they took 2 pieces and a bunch of records for them!! ! normal, given the fact that when the lights were on, the balcony was regularly opened !!!
7. safe at the hotel at the reception. The deposit for it is 500 rupees, which is returned upon departure. every day of use 50 rupees!
8. There was no air conditioning in the room, the ceiling fan is enough!
9. There was a refrigerator in the room, but they didn’t use it, it smelled too bad!
10. Ants lived in the room, but they were visible only at night and they didn’t cause any problems, although I once saw a small lizard, but I couldn’t catch it !!!
11. breakfasts, the same as in Europe, you will not see the Turkish Swedish table gentlemen-tourists here!! ! for breakfast - toast, jam 2 types, buns, butter, coffee, milk, tea! omelet for extra a fee, and they don’t always bring the one you ordered, but in India it’s a normal topic that the connection is very often interrupted between you and the waiter !! ! We never had lunch or dinner in the restaurant, so I can’t say anything about it!
12. The pool is a separate issue, as we arrived it was with bright green water, a few days later the workers threw bleach there and the water became clear, blue, but it was not possible to decide to swim in it after everything they saw)
13. vacationers are mostly probably Germans who, in principle, do not leave the hotel, there were also Russian guys, but they didn’t communicate with anyone, this hotel is not a party place where you would like to spend time, there are a lot of entertainment outside the territory
14. As it is in the descriptions of the hotel that there are 4 restaurants, in reality there is only one, but the staff is very friendly.
15. There was no TV in the room, but this is not a minus at all, but maybe only a plus, there is no time to watch it anyway! for example, they accidentally learned about the revolution in Egypt from tourists at sea))
16. From the reception you can call the guide for free
17. There is an Internet cafe in the hotel, only it consists of one ancient computer and the cost of an hour is 60 rupees (the exchange rate at the time of our vacation is 1 dollar = 45 rupees), and why do you need Internet on vacation?
18. there was a telephone in the room from which you could call the reception and the hotel rooms
19. AND PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE HOTEL GUIDE IF YOU HAVE ARRIVED WITH A PEGASUS, HIS NAME IS VASILY!! ! a boor is rare, don’t take excursions from him, although he advertises them like that, firstly it’s very expensive, and secondly he tells his fantasies, and not real facts, what you get for this money !! ! excursions should be taken from street agencies, they are many times cheaper and do not differ in anything, and I also recommend storming and-no and choosing where you want and going there by taxi without guides, in general it turns out a penny !! ! and if you have a problem or a problem, he will not solve it, but simply answers: do not call me anymore, I do not want to hear from you!! ! this is such a great guide!
20. stock up on knowledge of the English language, you can't do without it! The staff at the hotel does not speak Russian!!! (
21. to the sea 7-10 minutes walk along a short road through the houses of local residents and along the sand, the first time you go it seems creepy, and then it seems nothing
22. The beach is normal compared to Baga Beach, there are a lot of Europeans, there are also enough merchants, but at least they don’t come to you every minute, like on Baga !!!
23. We dined on the beach, a couple of times at Club 21, but it’s not very tasty there, or rather, it’s not tasty at all, then we moved to a shake whose name is Rada Shake))) that’s where the norms and drinks are 2 times cheaper !! ! sunbeds are usually from the neck for free, there are exceptions, this is when you go along a decent road to the beach that leads through Newton and to the left, there are 2 necks at the entrance to the beach, there are sunbeds for 50 rupees per day, if you even eat with them !!!
24. We usually dined at Fisherman or Lobster Pot - this is 3-5 minutes to the right of the hotel. walk! there delicious!
25. Rum, nuts and similar nonsense were bought in Newton, 7 minutes to the right of the hotel. on foot, there are fixed prices and there is everything!!!
26. Exchange of money in the Elephant shop, which is opposite Newton, cattle is the most profitable, and even change rubles))) 1 dollar = 45 rupees!
27. the village of Candolim, where the hotel is actually located. quiet, there is no entertainment after 23-00, and even in restaurants and cafes nearby the kitchen is closed!!!
28. Right in front of the hotel there is a taxi rank, pt. they offer their services cheaply! compared to others))) for example, for a trip to the night market in Arpora they paid 400 rupees (the driver was waiting for us there for 2 hours), to the market in Anjuna 400 rupees (waited 3 hours), to Old Goa where he drove us in 3 temples and waited for us there 700 rupees, Panaji 450 rupees, to a disco in the Cabana Club 600 with expectation !!! )))
Guys, I kind of told the whole truth about the hotel, it sounds good or bad, you decide!! ! in my opinion the hotel is ok!
P. S. you need to go to India only on the positive, this is a cool country, and the mood should not be spoiled by a hotel or a guide)))
Have a good trip!!! ))))))))))))

Rested in March 2010. The hotel firmly pulls on its 2*, even 2*+. The room was clean, the set of the room corresponds to the declared. The TV did not have a remote control - it was inconvenient. The "manual bidet" system did not work in the toilet. The shower has hot water through the water tank, but it works fine, no problems.

I never saw the room service staff, maybe because I did not hand over the keys. Pool with normal clean water, kept clean, you can swim. Restaurant with poor interior. Dinner once - did not like it. I ate at a restaurant nearby "Lobster Pot" - I liked everything, there were no problems with my stomach, though I didn’t order dubious local pickles, I tried to stick to my usual diet. To the beach, of course, not 300m. , But at least 500, but there are simply no hotels closer. Closer to 100m. , only villas for "residents" of India. Geographically, the hotel is conveniently located, such as in the center of Candolim, next to the Newtons supermarket. Considering that you only come to the hotel to sleep - everything is fine.

We went for breakfast only on the first day, for exploration. . there is nothing to eat there, except perhaps dry white bread with diluted coffee)) There are a lot of pleasant cafes around where you can have breakfast for 80 rubles. . In the evenings, "party" youth gathered by the pool, talked, got acquainted, and after 8-9 pm we went to parties. . My favorite place is Lilliput cafe)) In Anjuna. Nice music, lots of interesting people. . For 10 days we visited a bunch of clubs and cafes, all different, there is something to see everywhere)) True, on the 2nd night, when we were still without bikes, we were brought to Morjim, In blue Sky, which is very far from the hotel, we had to go back by taxi for an unrealistic price by Indian standards)) Be sure to visit the Juice Center in Arpora. . Such a selection of freshly squeezed juices is nowhere else in Goa). And the night market on Saturday, just to get a feel for the atmosphere, you'll love it. The beach is not far from the hotel, a 10 minute walk. . If you want to be cleaned in the room, you need to leave the key at the reception, as everywhere else, there is also a safe, rent is a penny, it is better to keep all documents and money there. . Of the excursions I liked in the valley of spices. . it’s pure for girls)) and, of course, we rode elephants)) I still remember these days with a smile, I dream of returning))) Good luck and good mood to everyone)

My trip to India started on November 16.2009, departure at 11:30 am (local time) on Orenair's direct flight 9633 Perm-Goa. The hotel was chosen for the price and reviews, I think one of the most common - Dona Alchina 2 *, North Goa, Candolim beach. Went with a friend to celebrate their birthdays. We arrive at Dabolim airport, get off the plane and get into the sauna, 100% humidity and heat (the time is about 19 hours), the airport itself is poor, it is a military one, fill out the cards, get luggage and run to the bus.

At this time, Indians run up to you and simply snatch bags from your hands, it's your business, but they will ask for money for all services. There is an exchange office at the airport, but the exchange rate is low and they take 100 rupees of commission. We were struck by the smells of gov . . when leaving the airport... you get used to nothing.
The trip to the hotel took about an hour, people were brought to 2 more hotels. By the way, the hotel of Dona Alchin and Dona Terezinha (Calangute Beach) have one owner. It was pouring rain on the bus while we were driving, but it is like this - it rains for 10 minutes and stops. There was no more rain. While driving at night, I saw the poor, slums... garbage, cows... I was in shock, at first I seemed to regret that I had come there, but decided to wait for the morning.
The hotel itself consists of 3-storey buildings, white with a blue border, wooden furniture, painted with white paint and the smell is like in an old closet, but this is their feature; . The bathroom has a shower and toilet without a partition, hot water from a water heater. Of course, the towel and linen were all washed out, but we didn’t give a damn (although there was a shock). The hotel has a swimming pool, a restaurant, evenings are sometimes arranged, a lot of plants (such as I grow in pots) and palm trees (there is nothing special to do in the hotel). Most importantly, the hotel is located on a busy street full of restaurants and a Newton supermarket where you can buy anything you want. 10 minutes to the beach, right on the road, on the beach on the left a large barge is stranded, and there are 10 of them on the horizon, apparently waiting for their time. There were waves in the sea, but no living creatures bit me or even touched me. It is a pity that there are no Sheiks (local bars/restaurants) on Candolim beach, like on others.
The first day was spent in order to study the area and get acquainted with the earlier arrivals, there are a lot of Russians. Nature is a fairy tale... The sea is warm like porn milk. The Indians are very friendly, they will always help and tell you, who knows English, he will easily explain himself to them (although they eat the endings and it can be difficult to understand them), but if this is a problem, then you will figure it out on your fingers ; .
On the second day there was a hiking trip to Fort Aguada, beautiful... you can take a tuk-tuk, you can take a taxi. There are a lot of them and everyone will shout "masina"... bargain, but don't be rude. Cows are sacred animals, they go everywhere except the hotel, but they are blissful, they don’t touch you. The dogs are all the same breed and hungry, but also harmless. I saw cats 1-2 times, Indians do not like them.
2 excursions were taken from our tour operator, a sightseeing tour of old Goa and waterfalls in the reserve (where you can feed monkeys and sturgeon), you can hire a taxi and they will take you, it will be 2 times cheaper, but we did not dare. And then we decided to see different beaches, Arambol - known as a haven of hippies, Palolem - paradise - white sand and palm trees close to the sea, Morjem, Baga, Colva - white sand and crunches underfoot. Many come there and take a bungalow with no amenities at all and live like this, insane romance. Be sure to visit the Arpora night market, like on Saturdays, everything is cheaper there and bargaining is easy. And every evening, all the tourists and the local population crawl out onto the beach to enjoy the famous Goan sunset, as well as practice yoga. From the entertainment of the disco: Paradiso (entrance for girls is free / boys 1000 rupees, all drinks are free), Mambos and Titos, we liked Mambos, but I think we need to go everywhere.
It takes 2.5 hours to go to Palolem from us, you order or negotiate with a taxi driver, he comes to the hotel for you in the morning, immediately agree on a price (it cost us 1500 rupees), he takes you, make an appointment, relax on the beach all day (go there and look at the dolphins, they swim in flocks), meet him in the evening and he takes you and only then pay. Cool! Those. hire a taxi for the day. Of course, you can come on motorcycles, but without knowing the road, I think this is problematic.
They won’t let you rent a car, but please moped / motorcycle, there are so many of them that you just get tired of screeching. Do not forget that there is left-hand traffic, the roads are narrow, there are no rules and traffic lights&; . And only the signals that they get, there are not even sidewalks for pedestrians.
There will be no problems with food, unsanitary conditions are complete, the main thing is to follow the rules of personal hygiene, wash your hands and take a shower, and do not eat in incomprehensible establishments; And also drink local rum (old monkey) and some spices. If you are not a fan of spicy, then when ordering, say “noch spicy” and ask for the Russian menu. From food, I think everyone will find something to their liking, and most importantly, delicacies are cheap !!!
Goa conquered me, who is not whimsical and wants to enjoy virgin nature, and not what man has created, then go there! You can’t even compare with Turkey and Egypt, no one will entertain here, you are left to yourself. GOA - freedom, bliss, pleasure... it changes people and their views... You will not leave there indifferent... I personally guessed that I would return there 5 more times; . Thank you for reading my story, I can talk about Goa for hours, if you have any other questions, Katya, I will be happy to answer.
