Upon entering the hotel, you find yourself in a very stylish lobby. Standard rooms are simple but clean and tidy. There are superior rooms with more modern renovation, but they are more expensive! There are no balconies in the Metropolitan, as in most 3-4 * Tel Aviv hotels. The view from the rooms is either on the sea or on Tel Aviv houses - both already built and still under construction (Tel Aviv is a little over 100 years old and there is room for development).
At a walking distance from the hotel is the Opera Tower, the first floors of which are occupied by several shops and bistros. There is a beautiful fountain in front of the Tower.
The location of the hotel and the relatively low price in its category make Metropolitan one of the most popular 4 * Tel Aviv hotels.
Wi-Fi is free everywhere in the hotel - in the lobby and in the rooms. Fitness center and sauna free of charge.
There is an outdoor pool and sunbathing area on the rooftop (open from April 1st to October 1st).
The hotel can be said to have 2 blocks - 2 entrances, since the hotel is located in the same building. One block (16 floors) is the main one, there are rooms (there are several categories of rooms) and the second (5 floors) - apartments - Executive Suites (one or two steel buildings with a kitchen).
All rooms have a free safe, a tea set and free Wi-Fi.
The food is good, high quality, tasty.
The hotel is decent, based on the price / quality. Very nice pool on the 2nd floor, by the way, there was almost no one there)
The room is small but has good free wifi. On TV from Russian channels, only 1 and IlTV for Russians. The room had no balcony. But the bathroom disappointed - it’s very soviet and it’s clear that the repair was on top. The toilet did not go down well, water flowed weakly from the shower. But we only spent the night in the hotel, so we did not pay much attention. Soundproofing is ok in the rooms.
Breakfast is very good - salads, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, pastries, cereals, muesli, watermelons, dates.
Dinner is no problem. It can be said that the hotel is located near the most beautiful embankment in Tel Aviv - Gordon Embankment (nearby hotels such as Carlton, Sheraton and Isrotel). There is amazing illumination in the evenings, wonderful cafes and restaurants overlooking the sea. In terms of prices - on average, dinner cost 250 shekels for two (portions are very large - especially in a restaurant on the waterfront called London). At the hotel, dinner is expensive - 180 nis from the snout.
Not far from the hotel is the famous Arab market (terrible horror - Cherkizon is resting). There are also plenty of streets where you can walk. There was a huge shopping center on Bardashov Street with an abundance of shops (such as Zara, Next, etc. )
We went on excursions from there to Jaffa, the diamond exchange, Jerusalem and Bethlehem, Nazareth and Galilee, Haifa.
We also visited the Dead Sea, but this is a separate review (about the hotel on the Dead Sea).
