Check-in - two hours in two queues to get a room. The food is good and varied. Room cleaning - C grade. The beach is relatively well maintained, BUT! the locker rooms are filthy, used tissues, tampons, piles of dried human shit. A year ago it was the same, complained to the reception, the result is zero.

Good hotel, fast check-in, very good varied food, SPA We had a stunning room with direct sea views and full-wall panoramic windows (601.6th floor)! You get up in the morning - and in front of you is the turquoise sea and mountains bathed in the sun! The beauty! It takes about 5 minutes to go to the beach from the mountain to the Herods 5 * hotel, sunbeds and umbrellas are free (or you can take a free shuttle - the minibus runs every half an hour, I think).

The beauty! It takes about 5 minutes to go to the beach from the mountain to the Herods 5 * hotel, sunbeds and umbrellas are free (or you can take a free shuttle - the minibus runs every half an hour, I think). The beach is wide with yellow sand, the entrance to the sea is chic and smooth. The sun was not scorching, sometimes with clouds, but in a week we acquired a stunning dark southern tan.
We took therapeutic and sunbathing before lunch, and after that we went to the SPA - there is also a pool with (heated) Dead Sea water, several jacuzzis, hydromassage pools, a hydrogen sulfide pool and dry and wet saunas. In general, for every taste. Several times they took paid procedures (massage), the massage therapist Sergey did, I really liked it.
Several times we went again on a free transfer to the city center, there is a shopping center there, we bought Dead Sea medical cosmetics at very nice prices!

Right now we are in this hotel, arrived on August 3 for 12 days. We bought a ticket from the St. Petersburg Tourist Sphere. So, in order: our tour cost 300 thousand rubles for three people with a flight from St. Petersburg, according to the all-inclusive system. We arrived at the hotel at 16-00, the Seshire transfer, the driver drove the car ugly, one would think that he did not have a license.

So, in order: our tour cost 300 thousand rubles for three people with a flight from St. Petersburg, according to the all-inclusive system. We arrived at the hotel at 16-00, the Seshire transfer, the driver drove the car ugly, one would think that he did not have a license. We got 2 and a half hours, he scorched as best he could, aggressive driving on his face.
In the hotel itself at the reception, no one spoke Russian, which is a huge minus. They gave us the key to a double room even though we booked a triple room. After lengthy harassment, a baby cot was brought into the room, although my son is 23 years old. And they were very surprised that we were not happy. As a result, only a day later, thanks to our guide Sergei, who intervened at our request in this matter, we received the triple room we paid for, the keys to which were brought to us, even by the hotel manager.
A certain Nicholas, an obvious Russophobe, works at the reception, constantly pretending that he does not understand anything. As our guide explained to us, the hotel is in the process of transitioning from the all-inclusive system to the HB system, so now those who bought tours earlier, still using that system, have a hard time, we have 20 people with bracelets today, all The rest are all paid in cash. And these 20 people directly infuriate the entire hotel staff, because they have to pour something or give it for free. There are almost no Russians in the hotel, it is strange that this hotel entered the Russian market at all. Only Israelis rest here and the service is designed exclusively for them, no one deals with the rest of the minority and is not interested. All the reviews that I read on this site do not reflect even half of the reality. Do not believe those who write obviously custom, suspiciously positive reviews. The hotel is clearly overpopulated with local tourists, the pool looks like an anthill, it's just a garbage dump around it, I can't describe it otherwise. It is not 200 meters to the sea, as they say here, but half a kilometer and back the road is uphill and there is no direct access to the sea. Tourists use the beach of the Herods Hotel, sunbeds are provided free of charge. That is, you can’t just walk to the beach and back, in the heat of 40 degrees, it’s not so close, it’s 15 minutes on foot, this is a very big minus of the hotel. Apparently the place for the beach is being cleared in front of the hotel, but when it will be unknown. I don’t understand those who wrote in the reviews the words "amazing", "beautiful", etc. , the hotel is not for Russians. "I am attaching fresh photos taken yesterday, in support of my words. All those who leave reviews admire the food, ordinary food for a four. Who eats only pasta at home and dumplings, so cool, but nothing special. About the vaunted SPA in the hotel. The people as well as the pool, the stink of bleach and complete devastation, everything is in decline and needs obvious repair. Nobody is puzzled by the cleaning of the territory, plastic glasses, bottles, garbage can fall for several days. More than a foot here. I advise you to pay extra and choose another hotel if you do not want to relax in the garbage.

The room could be considered good if it was cleaned more carefully. Similar to the room in the previous hotel "Leonardo Jerusalem 4". Spacious with separate bathroom. A set of amenities for the "four" is quite sufficient. There is a safe, the right amount of hangers. Separate bathroom. The bathroom has good plumbing and a 1100 W French hair dryer that we loved)) Here he already had a normal long cable and did not have to bend over to dry his hair.

The bathroom has good plumbing and a 1100 W French hair dryer that we loved)) Here he already had a normal long cable and did not have to bend over to dry his hair. But there was no tapering nozzle. An interesting feature: there is no body lotion in the standard cosmetic set, and shampoo is without conditioner. At the reception, they said that everything is poured into these bottles from one watering can, but I noticed that there was still not enough conditioner in the shampoo ...But finally we came across a hotel with a rope for drying wet things!
The minibar is empty but works. The air conditioner works well.
Room 126 has a view of the Leonardo Club Hotel, which, unlike ours, has its own beach. You can see a piece of the sea and the coast of Jordan. To the left is the pool, but you can't see it. Below the window is a fountain and balconies of the rooms below (we did not have a balcony). In addition to the bed, finally consisting of two parts, there is a sofa that can accommodate an adult.
For a couple of days of staying at the hotel, you can’t tell much. According to the all-inclusive system, there was enough food to the head - there was no energy left for ice cream)) Another type of food will not work here - there is nothing in the district. To the sea you need to go down on foot or wait for a delivery. The nearest beach is not equipped with changing rooms. They say that they were removed everywhere, in view of anti-terrorist measures. Indeed, throughout Israel, they did not meet us on the beaches. On the local beach there is a rental of sunbeds and chairs, as well as showers and sunshades.
The toilet in the only expensive cafe is paid. But becoming a buyer you can visit without paying.
To the center you need to drive a little deeper into the town. There is nothing else in the area. When flowers were needed, a Russian-speaking manager at the reception named Vadim contacted the flower company and they arranged everything. It cost at least 250 shekels - I don’t remember exactly what cost 100 and what 150. The price consists of delivery and a minimum order of flowers. It seems that one rose cost 12 shekels. Check-in at the hotel from ...15:00! ! ! Thanks to the wife’s birthday, after an hour of staying at the lobby, she managed to ask for a room a couple of hours earlier, threatening that the birthday girl would crack the wine included in the stay package and everyone here is a khan))
Visiting the third hotel in Israel and the second one from the Leonardo chain, you begin to notice the complete lack of service. Chipped dishes, where there can only be dirt and debris ...
Attention on the personal initiative of one of the staff will not wait. Free wifi only in the lobby.
Nearby is the Herods hotel - the convenience of its own beach and the territory with a swimming pool, where there are changing rooms and other amenities, caught my eye.
General for the tour itself "Tel Aviv - Jerusalem - Dead Sea - Eilat":
- in October the weather is what you need - up to + 26-30 in the afternoon (it is hotter in Eilat - up to + 33), only one day it was cold in Jerusalem 14 - 19 it seems;
- at least the Red Sea was left for later, but it's not like in Egypt - I somehow liked the Mediterranean more;
- Tel Aviv is a very mobile city - at least the embankment is teeming with citizens running and riding everything from scooters to bicycles. There was no other place like this in Israel;
- everything is very expensive;
- for the Internet, it is best to use a local SIM card and use the phone as a modem or as an access point - about 100 - 150 UAH will cost a Gig or two traffic valid for a week or two.
There are other proposals - it is better to buy the operator, which will be, upon arrival until nothing is closed. The SIM card itself costs about 30-40 dollars and score whatever you want on it - the Internet or conversations. Lots of interesting suggestions. And excellent data transfer speed!
- when ordering dishes on the embankment, specify whether to order a salad, because almost all main courses come with a bowl of freshly cut vegetables - actually quite a good salad and in large quantities;
- it is striking that on excursions, apart from drip irrigation and the army, the Israelis have nothing to be proud of ...Ask the guides! And on trips to Jerusalem, beware of large groups, because at least you will hear little, and at most you will get lost. Taxis are expensive...
- after swimming in the Jordan River, they will later tell you that this is not the same place, but another - specially organized by the Ministry of Tourism ...Although what difference does it make for a believer where to plunge!
If there are souvenir shops before the river, then you will be offered to buy Christian shirts in advance - such as it is more expensive on the river. Yes, more expensive. But! There are synthetics in the shops (and there are also dumb shirts, with some word reminiscent of baptist ... ), and cotton on the river. Well, all these tourist rascals in addition - a certificate + free rental of towels and locker rooms to boot. It should be remembered that after dipping in a shirt, you can never twist it, wash it, iron it in your life ...It is used as a type in the treatment of serious ailments. Do not forget swimwear for such an excursion, otherwise a wet shirt "glows". We were lucky that we "sanctified" three shirts each at once - for loved ones. So everything worked out, but no one there complex))
- date honey in the airport detectors on departure seemed like a security bomb, and on arrival - syrup ...You didn't read it!
- From this trip, 33 coiled candles were brought to friends, which were burned with the Holy Fire.
That elevation of this action was spoiled by the mockery of the attentive donee - there the inscription "Holy Land" is translated as ..."Holy Land"! ! ! Not kosher somehow...
- in Jaffa - nice, you can go for free, clinging to a trip to the diamond exchange. There is where to take a picture.
- Pomegranate wine on samples was tastier than bought at the airport. In tourist spots, pomegranate fresh is archaic! Quarters above / below - the ball.
- take something to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher that you will never wash off - you will rub it with a stone that allocates to the world;
- in all the hotels where you have been, you can drink water from the tap - it is both tasty and the locals declare its safety. But in Leonardo in Eilat, the water constantly gave off a pool ...
- I would prepare for buying cosmetics at the Dead Sea at home - it requires knowledge, because the high cost of some brands is confusing. Especially the gifts coming to them...
- then at airports the security guards ask you "didn't they give you any gifts? "...They let everyone out there through micro interrogation so that you are in the chicken...All this is long and unpleasant! Especially public shmon, when you shift banks with dirty shorts, Schaub did not beat)))
- don't buy blue chips - bullshit...
- bought a suitcase at the Ice Mall in Eilat at a discount (well, in the duty-free zone), then compared the price at the airport - a little more expensive. And at the airport itself I looked at the prices of devices known to me - expensive (((
- the beaches are municipal and, if there is no voucher from the hotel, then a sunbed will cost an average of 15 shekels ...
- coffee in bags in hotels is not instant - it is, as a rule, finely ground natural coffee. We steam and drink)
In general, Israel is not a beach holiday. Dirty, dusty country. Either there is little rain, or there is no time or meaning - constant readiness for war. Expensive not only for tourists, but also for locals. At the same time, 40% of the budget for military ...
Service? Forget! ! !
The Jews themselves, by all appearances, make it clear that they will not serve anyone, and those barumbeks whom they hire are not taught this. English, too. The words "WC", "toilet" often baffled the staff! ! ! On excursions, they said that 30% speak Russian fluently. Didn't feel it! They probably forgot to mention what they say and understand when they need it)))
In a hotel on the Dead Sea, I saw a black man in the spa responsible for the towels. He sits, lounging ...People come up to hand over towels - he makes cheeks with his finger and commands with a gesture where to carry them, they ask "where to get clean ones" - the same pointing finger after clicking ...I would have clicked it a couple of times if we hadn’t stopped for 1.5 days to this point!

My Alexandra has diffuse dermatitis, she was treated for a long time in Moscow, but neither professors nor medicines helped and the last hope remained - the Dead Sea. Bought a tour to the leonardo Privelegen hotel because this hotel is all inclusive. Flight 3.5 hours, transfer 2 hours and finally we are there. They settled quickly, a clean good room, polite Russian-speaking staff, very good and varied cuisine, their own beach with sunbeds, even minibuses bring them to the beach and all this is free. Separately, I would like to say about the SPA in the hotel, it is a pool with heated dead water, a jacuzzi, a hydromassage pool, a sauna, etc. , and this is also free. There are also paid procedures, but the most important procedure is the sea. This water leaves a strange feeling of weightlessness and relaxation. The therapeutic effect of the daughter came already on the 3rd day, and now 2 months have passed, not a single spot appeared. And I really want to tell you about a small souvenir shop in the Kanyon shopping center, it is called Svetlana after the name of the hostess. There are people with whom it is very pleasant to communicate, thanks to her for helping us a lot before visiting Jerusalem, she told us many such things and subtleties on how to behave in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher that the guides do not tell. And I was also very surprised by the prices in this shop for candles, icons and other souvenirs here in shekels and in Jerusalem the same price is only in dollars. Thank you Svetlana!
In short, we are flying there this fall!

Not the first time at the Dead Sea, accidentally got into this hotel, went there for 5 days, friends booked a room from Israel. The room was suite, that is, better than usual, two rooms with a large balcony. This is where all the pluses end. The room was not very well cleaned, the furniture was old, the bed was not the first freshness and the hair was not cleaned in the bathroom, which suggests that no one cleaned it either.

The room was not very well cleaned, the furniture was old, the bed was not the first freshness and the hair was not cleaned in the bathroom, which suggests that no one cleaned it either. The choice of food, as for Israel, is meager, in the dining room, too, everything is not the first freshness, something I didn’t even want to lean against. I spent one night there and went to Daniel. Another disadvantage of the hotel is that it is not convenient to go to the sea, downhill, although there are carriages. It’s also that three Leonardo hotels (this is one of them) are nearby, but it’s 20-30 minutes from the center, so there’s nowhere to walk. I advise you to choose something in the center. This is Isrotel, Daniel (these are the best hotels on the Dead Sea, verified from my own experience ; -) There may also be Crown Plaza or Royal, but a little worse. Have a good rest!! !

So, I'll start my story - as usual, not short
I was very interested in how the baggage screening and the interview with security service representatives went, because I had read reviews where people were spinning hair dryers and chargers. We didn’t do without curiosities.
We had the most thorough inspection at Pulkovo. We stood in line, but they approached us and asked: - "Is this your child? " We: - "Yes. " They: "Come with us. " We did not understand what was the matter, let’s go, we see it’s already getting bad with our parents, and they just led us to the front of the line under escort, all 6 people. Then the interview began with everyone at once, but I stood first and answered questions myself. to convey something, if we are bringing a bomb. Then we looked at our passports and began to ask why I go to Egypt once a year, and the United Arab Emirates and Turkey. I said because I have a small child and we don’t want to freeze him in St. Petersburg - we eat where it is warm and inexpensive because we usually go for a month or more. They liked the answer.
Then (already in Israel, when we flew back) there were 2 oddities with my parents. For the first time at the customs, they didn’t like their suitcase in which there was nothing but rags, but there was still a book bought in Israel about the Holy places and it blocked the view on the monitor, but it’s strange that they didn’t open the suitcase, but asked us in poor English what was there? When they received an answer that it was a big book, they calmed down and let it go. until they found a small nail file. They took it away and threw it away. I told her 100 times that scissors and nail files are not allowed, but when we flew here, she had a cosmetic bag in her suitcase, and now she put it in her purse, so it happened It was funny to us because the parents were very nervous. We tried to defuse the situation and joked. Then they calmed down.
It is strange that my suitcase did not raise any doubts, although it was half full of creams and pills. I bought a lot of creams for everyone, and for myself allergy medicine, because there are such medicines that are not available in Russia, and we have a friend working there in a pharmacy and she gave me a good discount, writing down everything on her husband.
It is also strange that they did not take away our water - everyone had a bottle of 1.5 liters!
Here is such a strange inspection
What I didn’t like was that they didn’t have luggage packing. We bought all sorts of things and wanted to put a bag in our luggage, but we had to pack it, and since it was open, we had to take it on the plane.
I was very pleased that both here and there the luggage was served almost immediately - this has never happened!
So let's start talking about the hotel.
Hotel Leonardo Ded Si has 3 names. This is the former Novotel and the former Moriarch Classic. On different sites you will see all these names, but the last one is Leonardo Ded Si.
I liked the hotel as a whole and the fact that it is located on a mountain did not upset us at all when we arrived, but it was very upsetting when we went there, because we read the reviews and thought, well... we will climb up the mountain and in the heat it very difficult, but, believe me, even 4 elderly people had no difficulty climbing up because the road rises quite smoothly and because of this, the rise is almost not felt.
The minibus runs every 15 minutes and no longer for a minute! There are no problems to get to the beach. Walk for 10 minutes at a calm pace, admiring the incomparable view of the Dead Sea! Already breathtaking from such beauty!
The best thing about this hotel is its SPA and I completely agree with the opinion of people who said that the SPA in this hotel is THE BEST in the Dead Sea! there is also a regular pool. All SPAs offer massages and mud wraps. The prices for everything are not small. For example. Massage for 30 minutes costs 1500 rubles. - these are masseurs, sellers in shops and cleaners). If they do something, there is no massage. If one of the locals does, then the massage is excellent. The girl who came from Ukraine to earn extra money has no special skills. . Jewish grandmothers and German women are satisfied. They clapped, stroked, pinched, why not a massage?
The difference of this particular SPA is that only here there is a fairly large pool with excellent hydromassage. Moreover, it’s just a glorious jet of water barely, as usual in a jacuzzi, and the water is under very strong pressure. This pool is divided into sections and each section has its own zest. There is a pressure of water from the bottom - for the legs, there is in the middle - several jets - for the back and abdomen, there is for the shoulders, there is when you need to sit down and the water goes there from the bottom and in the middle and you yourself decide what to massage there
After a certain time, they also turn on such a shower - very strong - cascading. People line up and massage their neck, back and shoulders. It's just a buzz!
Only because of this pool with such a wonderful hydromassage can and should you go here, because when you eat, for example, to a sanatorium, the doctor will prescribe 10 procedures for you there every other day of hydromassage, and here you can sit and massage what you want at least all day necessary. It helps to get rid of cellulite and stomach very well. Of course, with diet and exercise, but always. After all, treatment should be comprehensive!
Jacuzzi here 2.
Dead Sea water pool 1.
There is a wet steam room-hammam (super)
There is a Finnish sauna.
There are showers, toilets, sun loungers where you can lie down and relax, chairs where you can sit, there are a lot of these.
There is drinking water-faucet such and cups.
If you take procedures, you are given terry bathrobes for free. We didn’t take procedures, but we received bathrobes. I just said that I want a bathrobe, and I’ll order procedures later, they gave them without problems and without any deposit. we had 3 numbers: for us, for my parents and a single for my mother-in-law)
In general, the most important advantage of the hotel I described is its wonderful SPA.
Let's go back to the hotel.
The rooms are cozy. In the room: a large new, flat-screen TV, refrigerator, bed (one or two), sofa, table, bedside tables, mirror, telephone, carpet everywhere. why such a luxury, it’s not clear? ) There is a hair dryer, body gel in the bathroom. Every day they bring in tubes, branded Leonard ones: soap, shampoo, shower gel, body milk and only once I got a hair balm
Bath separate.
Toilet separately.
There are no balconies in standard rooms!
BUT! There are balconies in the rooms on the ground floor, in the suites and in the suites, they are chic (I was there, the cleaning lady let me take pictures). There are 2 rooms: a bedroom and a living room, a large bath with a triangular bathtub and a separate toilet, but the most charming this is a HUGE balcony the view from which is simply amazing! There are sunbeds, a table with chairs and in the presidential rooms there is a jacuzzi on the balcony itself!
If they give you a room with a balcony on the ground floor with a direct view of the sea, then you will go crazy because right below it there is a large open terrace where they sit all night and smoke, drink, sing songs - Jewish and Russian - in general they are very noisy. Everyone who goes there then runs away from this noise. If there is a side view, like ours, of the sea and the road, then it’s great! Not such a beautiful view, but there is no terrace and drunken screams are no longer heard.
They feed well.
There are a lot of things and the breakfast is just excellent. As already mentioned in the reviews, it is surprising that there are 2 types of herring for breakfast. Several times they also gave smoked herring.
Here is the breakfast menu:
They fry an omelette and you have to queue for it, but it's very fast.
There are always: pancakes, pasta with mushrooms in milk sauce (very tasty), boiled eggs, draft yogurts and bags, jelly in jars, 2 types of herring, dry flakes, cheeses, grained cottage cheese, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, Bulgarian pepper, sprouted wheat (I ate it, cabbage, parsley, dill, cilantro, radish, radish, beets, carrots.
Various small casseroles of potatoes and pasta.
From baking, biscuit muffins and cheesecakes.
Personally, I was upset that there were no porridges and no puff pastries. Maybe it depends on the cook? Because who went to this hotel before, they said that they used to beat porridge.
I also didn’t like that in the bags of yogurts there were only ordinary sweet ones and there weren’t any with berries, but my child and I don’t eat sour ones.
We went for breakfast several times to the nearby Leonardo Plaza hotel and there is more choice. The difference is that there is just everything that I love so much: prunes, large raisins, delicious different yogurts like our Erman 7% I have pieces of berries , puddings with whipped cream in jars (like yogurts), my favorite puff cinnamon rolls, with chocolate, with potatoes and croissants. There were also: pumpkin seeds, cookies, cream, hot chocolate for children and smoked mackerel - very tasty. This is such a difference in nutrition. For some it is important, for some it is not. I just eat porridge and yogurt for breakfast, and someone likes scrambled eggs or sandwiches with sausage - that's how you like it.
Here I ate as much glue and protein as possible: germinated wheat, grained cottage cheese and cheesecakes. Sometimes I indulged in pasta with mushrooms and again, of course, where would it be without it? - sprouted wheat Sometimes I took carrots and bell peppers and ate the whole thing in the room for lunch
As a result, she lost a few kg, as she wanted!
Now let's describe the territory.
It is almost non-existent. Everything is very small and the whole territory is perfectly visible, this is not Egypt for you, friends!
To get to the territory you need to go down the elevator to the -2 floor. Towels are issued on cards as soon as you go down from the elevator, in a small hall. The SPA is right there. The pools are not heated and they are under awnings, so they are very cold. . The adult pool is partially under an awning, the children's pool is all under the shade, so the water is generally icy there! It does not warm up at all because it is in the shade. splashing there all day because there is no other entertainment.
THERE IS NO PLAYGROUND AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although there is a place for it.
In the neighboring hotel Leonrardo Plaza there is a tiny slide, a sandbox and a rocking chair on a spring. There is nothing at all. !!!! I told the reception about this. My request was passed on. Maybe they will. Still, there are enough children in the hotel. It is dangerous for a child to swim in the Dead Sea because water can get into the eyes and therefore, while parents are sitting in the sea, poor children simply have nowhere to go get away, otherwise they would play under the supervision of grandparents on the playground.
We do not regret that we took a child here who is 2 years and 4 months old.
The son mostly splashed in the cold children's pool (due to the fact that we often travel, the child has excellent immunity because he spends a lot of time on the sun in the sea, and not in St. Petersburg with its eternal rains).
They also went to the sea and he played there in the sand: he rolled his cars there and buried them in sand, and then we all looked for them. He didn’t climb into the sea (he’s afraid of the sea without a vest)
I always take a lot of sun creams with me and smear myself and my child a lot. The sun is very active and it is strange that some people write that it is not active there - I have seen A LOT of people with terrible burns on the beach!!!
All the locals shout with one voice: our sun is very active and they have a very large number of skin cancer cases in Israel!!!
For the same reason, they say that they have an order from the Israeli Ministry of Health that all pools MUST have awnings! This is not bad, but then you need to heat the pools. At least for children.
In Leonardo Plaza they warm up a little, and we tried to swim there.
The hotel does not have a beach. Everyone goes to the beach of the Leonardo Plaza Hotel. We also went to their SPA and realized that ours is better. There is 1 jacuzzi and 3 pools with Dead Sea water. Why 3 is not clear... Here you have 5 stars .
The most terrible check-in to the room that can be is how it was with us. We flew with the EL-AL company. The plane is excellent! was from St. Petersburg at 00.40 and therefore we were not fed hot. They brought only a salad and a sandwich. When we flew back, the food was excellent. In general, we arrived at 3 am local time (difference with St. Petersburg + 2 hours). From the airport to the hotel, go 2.5 hours. We arrived at the hotel at 6 in the morning and we were given 2 rooms only at 13.30, and the third room at 15.00. all the rooms before your departure (at 2 pm). We offered money, but we were still not settled earlier, they said that the rooms were being cleaned and therefore they could not give us them. It is strange that they were cleaned from 6 am to 13.30 when we almost no one slept at night. True, the child slept for almost the entire flight - 4 hours, but the rest of the time he did not sleep! We sat a little alive at the reception and waited for the rooms to be given. We were told that at 10, but they gave it only at 13.30, and all this time we sat and hoped that they would give it. We could go to the sea or to the pool, but we decided that first we’ll check in, we’ll wait. That’s how we waited...
When I asked about breakfast, they told me that we have it for a fee, because the ticket starts from the time of check-in. They offered to pay 50 shekels from each, and we were 6 people. and eat calmly - breakfast and dinner are included and no one asks anything here. We did that. Let's go and eat.
We went on an excursion to Jerusalem. In our hotel, I was offered this excursion at the reception for $ 100 per person, + $ 20 lunch, and in the neighboring Leonardo Plaza hotel I was offered it for $ 90 already with lunch and I also asked for a discount - it came out at 80 with lunch per person. They have excursions to Jerusalem on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Tuesday my parents, husband and mother-in-law went, and I sat with my son, and on Thursday I went. They went on a big good bus with a toilet , and we were on a small minibus, where the air conditioner almost did not work and we could barely sit and almost die from the heat and stuffiness. There we were quickly taken to holy places and brought to a store where they sell crosses, icons and all that... We bought everything and went to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to consecrate it all on the stone of anointing. Christ was placed there when they were taken down from the cross. This place is considered very miraculous.
In general, the guide told everything very well. It was interesting and she conveyed everything to us in a very accessible way. Being there you involuntarily imbue the spirit of holy places and rethink something in life. Someone more, someone less...............
We were brought to 2 stores and they have different prices for the same crosses and icons. What is cheaper in the first, something in the second.
In temples, it is customary not to buy candles there (because Christ expelled the merchants from the temple), but to make donations. Nobody knew this and everyone had $ and small ones with them, as a rule, they didn’t. you need at least 1 candle each, that is, 2 pieces, you need to give 2 money Someone gives $ 1 each, and who doesn’t have $ 50 or $ 100 each, but what to do? You don’t visit such a temple every day... someone has shekels, but it’s not customary to give them... So we were told. In general, even here, in a holy place, sheer extortion...
The churches have all been rebuilt many times and now everything is in disrepair, the denominations can’t agree on which of them will do the repairs and don’t even want to clubbing together. Just some kind of laughter! It is not clear where such a huge amount of money from donations goes.
Then we were at the Wailing Wall. There everyone writes notes where they ask God for what everyone wants and it is believed that this will come true.
Then we went to Palestine. Citizens of Israel are not allowed there. There we had lunch and visited the place where Christ was born. Today, this is the only holy place associated with Christ that is authentically authentic. There is a Bethlehem star that indicated the place of his birth to the shepherds and stone mangers where it was put by Maria after birth. We were lucky here because we didn’t stand in line for 2 hours, but went with a guide on the other side, from the exit side and went without a queue, in a group of 6 people. So we only stood for 3 hours in the Church of the Sepulcher Lord, but we didn’t stand here. The tour started at 7.30 in the morning (departure from the hotel) and at 1 o’clock we returned. My relatives returned at 21 o’clock.
I was very impressed by the tour and still can not move away. . .
I didn’t like Jerusalem itself. Very dirty, gloomy, old, all peeled sandstone houses, but you understand that its value is not in architecture, but in the Temples that are in it and in the holiness of the place itself.
About the weather.
We were not lucky. This year they have an anomaly - it is very hot at this time. It was +35, +40, although it usually happens at this time already +25, +28. Very high humidity. It is normal in cities, but here it is below sea level at 413 meters and constantly walking sticky-sweaty. Even at night there is no coolness. The air conditioner saved.
Of course, the Dead Sea is incomparable. You can really sit and stand in it! It’s better to lie on your back and relax. You can swim, but very carefully so that water does not get into your eyes. I swam on my stomach, it’s fun, but scary... Better not to risk it.
Water, like glycerin, such stains and such a high density, the bottom is strewn with coarse salt.
Some people sit in the water for half an hour and an hour. Some for 5-10 minutes. I am allergic, but I usually have rhinitis (a runny nose is the whole allergy), and here after 15 minutes in the water the body began to itch and blistered. I-rather-under the shower-it doesn’t help, wash with soap at home, it won’t help. I took a pill for allergies-telfast-after 5 minutes it all went away. for a long time. In the SPA, after the pool with Dead Sea water, I went to the shower, and then to the sauna, everything was fine too. So look, if someone is allergic, you need to be careful in this water. it stinged, but tolerable and healed quickly.
They swim in the sea even at night! We also went, super! Still, a little cooler than during the day. There are 3 showers on the beach, coolers with drinking water. Sunbeds, chairs, water, showers are free. Toilets are only in the hotel.
We have never seen animation, but they say that it is, but not every day because the animation team goes from hotel to hotel.
There are 2 children's rooms. One has computer games, it is open and an animator sits there and plays all day long.
The other one, with toys, is constantly closed. When I asked why, he said that there were few children and therefore it was closed, that he did not receive lists to play with children. I went to the reception and told this nonsense. There, of course, they were very surprised and they said they would figure it out. We sorted it out, the room began to work. Only it had no windows, it was very gloomy, there was a dry pool with balls, a dollhouse and rocking chairs. It is clear that the child did not like it there. He walked there for 5 minutes and ran away. I immediately ran away. It was painfully gloomy there! Dark blue walls apparently do not like my child.
For ourselves, we decided that next time we will go from any hotel to the 1st line. We did not find any special difference and there is no point in overpaying. There are only 5 hotels on the first line: Hot and Tilip in are the most inexpensive of them. Still on the first line there are hotels Lot, Crown Plaza and Leonardo Plaza. ALL! All the rest are across the road. For example, the Meredian Hotel is located at the very end and also across the road, and the price for it is almost 2 times higher than in our Leonardo Grandfather C. It takes 3 minutes to go to the sea, and our SPA is better than everywhere.
For the time being, we decided to go either to Khot or to Tilip in or to Ein Gedi. This is a nature reserve. There is a lot of greenery, animals, hot springs with hydrogen soride, the best medicine for sore joints (I read this on the Internet).
We liked the rest very much. It was only difficult to endure our parents with their worldview and outlook on life. We tried to escape from them when they taught us about life. It seems that we ourselves are not small anymore
Parents felt better and, of course, they generally liked everything because they were the first time abroad and they compare everything with Soviet sanatoriums, and after Egypt we were bored here. There is little greenery, the territories are tiny, there is no animation, the pools are cold, but SEA!! ! Healing sea for which we came here and for another very important family business.
We bought vouchers for this hotel through an Israeli travel agency, and we had air tickets at Pulkovo.
I think that the rest was a success no matter what!
Conclusion - if you need TREATMENT, then you can’t find a better hotel than this one - it’s not expensive for the price, the food is good, and the SPA is the best here!

The Moriah Classic former Novotel Thalassa is located in the southern part of the Dead Sea, Neve-Zohar, a 30-40 minute walk from the central part of the Ein Bokek tourist area. It is possible to go to the beach on free shuttles, keep in mind that the dressing room on the beach is paid, but it's better to walk - shake the fat, because we had full board and fed "for slaughter".

I recommend not to order full board, breakfast and dinner are better, but I don’t advise breakfast, because there are no restaurants around, and 40 minutes to McDonald’s and Burgerquick. walk, there is nothing more from the oshchepit within a radius of 30 km.
Check-in at the hotel from 15.00, check-out at 11.00 - there is some inconvenience here. The staff is 50% Russian speaking. WiFi internet only on the 1st and 5th floors 0.5 hour - $7.1 hour - $10.7 days - $55. The northern rooms (left side of the main entrance, if facing the entrance) face the engine room of the hotel's air conditioning - noisy at night.
The SPA is good, but the sea water in the heated pool is changed once a week on Wednesdays and by Sunday-Tuesday it is already frankly dirty. Closed SPA, as they say because of the crisis at 17.00 - also an inconvenience. Plus - everywhere, in the SPA on the -2 - floor, on the 7th floor and in the solarium everywhere there is water from coolers - for free (there is nowhere to buy water nearby).

We rested in this hotel in the new year 2010 itself, everything is wonderful and the location of the hotel, located 2 km from the village, has its own clean beach. Settled within 5 minutes, the rooms are clean, tidy, cleaning daily. The food is varied, everything has always been enough for everyone, starting from salads and ending with sweets.

Recommend for family vacation!! !

My wife and I have been vacationing at the Dead Sea every year for several years in a row. We have stayed in several 5* hotels. I can say with confidence that the best vacation was in Golden Tulip. Private beach with a shuttle service, excellent SPA, delicious food, polite staff.
