And again about Israel
Israel is a country that attracts many. And the more you know about it, the more questions arise. All people can be conditionally divided into two parts, those who feel like a fish in water on the promised land, and those who categorically do not like this country. My husband and I are among the first, and therefore from time to time we are drawn to this land, especially since it is impossible to open Israel in a couple of weeks! With the abolition of visas, visiting Israel becomes affordable and attracts independent tourists. Having bought in advance as much as possible profitable air tickets, we calmly picked up accommodation to your taste. Today the choice fell on apartments in Bat Yam. By booking accommodation without intermediaries, you save at least 2 times, and Bat Yam is a perfectly suitable place, firstly, it is a compact town, almost within walking distance from Tel Aviv (9 km), and how much, transport in Israel runs like clockwork , then there is no problem in 15-20 minutes to be in the center of Tel Aviv or Jaffa. In addition, Bat Yam has an excellent promenade and beaches stretching for several kilometers. Naturally, we went not only for the sake of the Mediterranean Sea. The program included visits to Palestinian lands, the Dead Sea, underground Jerusalem. All excursions were taken on the spot through the Murtoklub agent, while receiving good discounts, for which special thanks! In Bat Yam, there are two meeting points for sightseeing buses, we were within easy reach of the central square. I will not describe our excursions in detail, I will only say that they were all well organized and conducted by professional guides from Metroclub Sergey and Anatoly from Travellux (underground Jerusalem). Finally, we got to Bethlehem, visited the Mount of Temptation in the Judean Desert near the ancient city of the world, Jericho, where a Greek monastery is now located. We were personally convinced of the invisible border between Israel and Palestine (it’s even annoying that no one asked our passports) - if you don’t switch from a bus with Israeli numbers to a Palestinian one, and not change your guide, it wouldn’t be clear at all that checkpoints exist - everything is under an invisible eye ! We also visited the location of the Qumran community, where the first Qumran scrolls were discovered. We visited several monasteries in the Judean Desert (in the monastery of St. Gerasim we were greeted with bells, offered strong coffee, drinks and sweets). No matter how many times you come to Israel, you need to bow at the Wailing Wall and in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher! Whatever faith a person has, these places do not leave him indifferent. A nice bonus on one of the excursions was a visit to the Alexander Compound in Jerusalem (Russian Orthodox Church). They conquer the mountains of the Judean Desert with their grandeur, traveled on this trip through it (the desert) three times, including when we went to SPA Hey Gedi on the Dead Sea (by the way, I didn’t like it there, well, I don’t feel comfortable on carts that are attached to a tractor 2 km to the sea to go, and it’s not for me to smear mud from barrels, well, I love Mineral Beach - everything is at hand there! IMMO) I really liked the tour of underground Jerusalem (it was taken from Travellux). Of course, in our free time we went to Tel Aviv, wandered through the evening streets of Old Jaffa, visited Safari. Impressions as always the sea! I will be happy to answer and share with interested people - potential independent tourists about visiting Israel, I can give contacts on housing (a decent choice) and purchasing excursions on the spot.
