Rested in Eilat from 24.11. 13 to 8.12. 13 at the Vista Hotel. The hotel is small and cozy. We got a room with a small balcony, there are few such rooms in the hotel. Basically no balcony. wi-fi in the hotel is only in the lobby and very poor - with a low speed. It was possible to talk on Skype only without a camera or only through SMS chat. We had half board, the food was very good, delicious homemade. You can drink water from the tap, very high quality, from desalination plants, not like in Egypt. The beach is a 10-minute walk, which in good weather does not bother much. On the beach, sun loungers are paid 15 nis, mattresses 2 * 2, lying on the boardwalk - 10 nis, but the chairs, which are few, are completely free! We went to Jerusalem with a stop at the Dead Sea, we liked it very much, many thanks to the guide Vladimir for a fascinating and professional story about the sights and customs of the local population. The tour was bought in Atlantis Tours near the Ministry of Tourism for $75, against $150 offered by our tour operator Rubin. I must say that we did not like the meeting party-Rubin tour very much. The failures began at the airport, when Rubin sent a faulty bus for transfer and all our tourists waited 1.5 hours for a new one to arrive. The guide, who arrived the next day at the hotel, had one task - to sell excursions at an expensive price. We didn't see him again. The free tour of Eilat sucks. We drove along one street along the tourist zone and then brought everyone to a jewelry store. Probably, this excursion is paid by this store. Who wants to see the city, it is better to take the city bus No. 1 or No. 2 that depart from the Dan Panorama Hotel, a ticket for city buses costs 4.7 NIS. The local airport divides the city into 2 zones - tourist and the city itself. Prices in shops in the tourist zone bite, in the city it is calmer. In general, Israel is an expensive country. And the city has a BIG shopping center, bus number 5 goes there - return flight number 6, everything is a little cheaper there. There is a small cheap market opposite the bus station. Buses 1.2, 16 run to the bus station. Buses do not run on Friday and Saturday - Shabbat (i. e. weekends) and all department stores are closed. Here at the bus station you can buy a bus ticket to the Dead Sea No. 444 costs 80 NIS there and back. We went to the Dead Sea on our own. We left at 7.00. Drive about 3 hours. We got to En Bokek, went to the Lot Hotel - there were no places, but at the Grown Plaza Hotel they let us in for free in the SPA with a heated Dead Sea pool, jacuzzi, shower, saunas and we could go ashore and swim in the sea - sun loungers are also free. Breakfast, which we were given at the hotel due to an early departure, was enough for lunch. We went back by the same bus 444 at 15.30. By the way, an excursion to the Dead Sea with a visit to the SPA and lunch costs $ 110 at travel agencies (this trip cost us $ 50 for two). We went to the oceanarium - bus number 15 goes there (back number 16). A ticket to the oceanarium costs 104 NIS. A very interesting trip. Next to our hotel is the Ice Palace-shopping center. It is interesting to watch the local ice skating. They see ice for the first time. Ride costs 35 NIS. , skate rental also +35 nis. About a taxi. If you take it, make it turn on the counter, otherwise your mother will count, do not worry. Taxi in the city is 35-40 nis. Inexpensive supermarket in the tourist zone, near the center of Cleopatra, opposite the Herods hotel, you can buy juices, fruits. Behind this center is the Amusement Park - the city of kings. Very exciting scenes from the life of King Solomon based on the Old Testament, 4D film, caves, illusions, in short, they did not regret at all that they went, ticket -125 nis. In general, the holiday was a success, and the hotel, from inexpensive, is very worthy.
