The territory is gigantic - a lot of beaches, the only thing, a lot of steps and sometimes it's hard in the heat. But the views as you walk are mesmerizing
There is a cool cafe where people come from other hotels and can’t always get there, but for Ayana residents it’s always a priority
The rooms are great - spacious, clean, comfortable bed and pillow
I would like to single out the service separately - everyone and everywhere smiles, smart people.
The only thing is that the food is a little pricey, but it's understandable.
Flight schedule: Moscow-Dubai (5.5 hours flight) - 40 minutes technical stop-then Dubai-Singapore (6.5 hours) - 2.5 hours waiting for a flight to Bali and then 2 hours to fly to Bali. We were very lucky, the entire flight on the plane was 1/3 busy, everyone took three seats for themselves and therefore the flight was not at all tiring. The service on the plane is of course good, drinks, alcohol in unlimited quantities and everything is free. Everyone has their own TV with video channels, radio, computer games, music. Each is given individual headphones, a blanket, a pillow, socks and... they feed - they feed - they feed! We flew in and immediately we were met by smiling Balinese, they hung flowers around their necks. It takes 15-20 minutes to get to the hotel. The hotel is on the edge of a cliff. Size - 77 hectares. Huge landscaped area. Our room was standard (50 sq. m). The room was very spacious, the view from the window is very beautiful (flowers on the lawn, the ocean). Room cleaning 2 times a day. As for the prices in the hotel: the prices bite. very))) for example beer Corona costs about 10 dollars and now you drink only beer on the beach, the bill is already 40-50 dollars... so take more money so that you don’t limit yourself in anything. For example, by the pool to eat a sandwich, pizza, a couple of juices - 60-80 dollars. Not far from the hotel there is a place Jimbaran and there are a lot of fish restaurants. All living things, you point your finger and they cook it for you - lobsters, crabs, shrimp, fish. The average bill is 50-60 dollars (without alcohol) + a bottle of wine 10-15 dollars. Of course, there are more expensive restaurants, they somehow paid for the same 130 dollars)) There is another high-class restaurant, located in Kuta, called KUDETA. there is also like an ordinary restaurant, and near the beach there are beds instead of chairs, you lie with your loved one... you drink a cocktail and look at the ocean . . beautiful... in a word, romantic!
as for the beach at the hotel: they have two of them. The first one directly at the hotel is a tiny patch, next to it there is a swimming pool with sea water, but there is nothing to do there. The second beach is to the left of the hotel. you come to the reception and say: to cuba beach, the hotel car drives up within 30 seconds and takes you away, drive for 2-3 minutes (this is all the territory of the hotel). The stairs to the beach are incredibly steep. You need to go down 195 steps (I thought). It’s easy to go down, but to go up..... it’s better not to remember... well, nothing for 2 minutes and you come to your senses (it’s useful for the figure). They say in a month they will build an elevator there. The ocean is very clean, although the waves are far from small, at first it's scary, and then you get used to it. We had no ebb and flow at all. At least I didn't notice it at all.
There are a lot of vacationers in the hotel, but you come to the beach as if we were always there together. You come to the main pool - there are also few people. It is not clear where everyone has gone.
The territory of the hotel is very beautiful, everything is in colorful beautiful flowers... I liked it very much.
As for excursions:
1. went rafting. around one greenery and waterfalls. very beautiful for the first 15-20 minutes, then you get tired of boredom. For a change, you can go.
2. forest of monkeys - went feeding macaques. really liked it. Just do not wear glasses otherwise you will say goodbye to them once and for all and hold your bag tight.
3. park of birds and reptiles. I liked the bird park very much, beautiful colorful birds, but the reptiles are terrible, it was already disgusting.
4. elephant safari and zoo. Well... so-so, you can also for a change.
Who loves history, there are many different temples or o. Java. we never got there.
Well, that's all.
I looked at the photos, asked the price a little and decided that if this hotel, then the best rooms. I chose a villa with ocean views in the first line. Took for 12 days + Singapore 3 days. Then a long, nasty flight (3 planes). Tired incredibly. When we were met by a guide at the airport, he said that we had chosen the best place on the island and that we would not want to leave anywhere. What I saw exceeded all expectations!
It makes no sense to describe the interior of the villa, everything is chic and impeccable! Yes, and on the website of the hotel you can find all the necessary information.
We were shocked by the beauty, the luxurious villa, and the incredible service long after we arrived home. The villa is incredibly large, modern, everything is shrouded in romance. We absolutely did not want to go anywhere, we enjoyed the gorgeous view and the singing of birds. Of course, we went on excursions, but each time we rushed to our villa.
On the last evening, we ordered a romantic dinner, and since all the places in the hotel intended for this were occupied, at our request, dinner was arranged for us on the territory of the villa. Somewhere in the afternoon, preparations began. Very quiet, God forbid! not to disturb our peace, the workers brought a table, chairs, unusual candelabra and put candles throughout the villa at a distance of 50 cm from each other.
In the evening they lit it all up and invited us to dinner. We dressed up, we were decorated with wreaths of snow-white flowers.
There were no waiters in sight.
They came from nowhere and disappeared into nowhere, but each time at the right moment, predicting, in one known way, our desires. Then the musicians appeared, who for about 30 minutes cheered us up by singing to the guitars. All this incredible action cost us $ 150 + 2 bottles of Veuve Clicquot $ 50 each. In general, you can talk endlessly. And we decided that we would definitely come to the marvelous island again.
The hotel area is large, well-groomed, a lot of greenery, but it is impossible to walk around it in the evening - there is no lighting.
We had a room in the main building with a sea view. There is a shower cabin and a bathtub, which does not have a shower. As a result, the bath is not washed. There was only one socket and it was in an inconvenient place in the room. The room was practically not cleaned, they came with a broom and a mop, scattered everything around and they called it cleaning.
We only had breakfast, but that's a big word - it was a snack. There was no cheese, no fish snacks, and there was a queue for fruit.
A gym is available. There are 3 open courts. Water sports are not represented as there is no beach.
There is no beach outside the hotel, and there is no beach in the place where the minibus takes you.
The hotel does not correspond to 5 *, and the Ritz Carlton hotel chain. Be careful when recommending this hotel on your tour. operators.
So this was our honeymoon trip. At that time (2007) the hotel belonged to the Ritz Carlton chain and was, without exaggeration, the best hotel in Bali.
Our budget was quite limited, but I really wanted something to be remembered for a lifetime and we did not lose. Next, I will give recommendations on how and on what you can save a lot.
From the first minutes of the settlement, we were amazed by the luxury of the hotel and the attention of the staff. Deposit upon check-in was $500. The Standard See View room is large and comfortable. Cleanliness at every turn. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive.
The territory of the hotel is huge. It is divided into several zones. One is the area of the hotel building, restaurant and large pools. The second and third are the zones of villas and SPA. You can walk everywhere without restrictions.
The beauty of the landscaping and pools is amazing. The pools need to be said separately. They simply permeate the hotel and shift from one form to another, matching the ponds filled with mirror carp. Some pools offer ocean views. This hotel has been recognized as the best spa and thalassa hotel in Asia for several years in a row and was one of the top 10 in the world (awards hang at the entrance). The hotel has 2 of its impeccably cleaned sandy beaches. On the second round-trip delivered by car. Ahhh romance.
Now for the facts. Located 20 minutes from the airport on the western side of the island on a high bank. That is, you will have to go down and up the stairs to the beaches, but this does not bother you. But the tides are several times smaller, and the ocean is clean and with waves! You feel that you are on the ocean, not in a puddle.
The hotel is expensive, so we ate (except for breakfast) at restaurants in Kuta and Jimbaran village nearby.
You should have seen the faces of the staff when we brought a few blocks of beer and water from the supermarket into the room : -). Nobody said a word.
Upon arrival, the guide offered us excursions and that the taxi driver would take us to dinner. Be vigilant, if you are brought to dinner, then 90% will give the "second menu" - in it all prices are doubled. We were warned, so when they brought us, we politely declined and went to a nearby restaurant. From the belly to eat shrimp and bolsters with coconuts and beer on the seashore by candlelight - we got 60-100 dollars. A day later, we found a local restaurant in Kuta where locals and surfers eat, by the way, the owner himself is a surfer, once he came to Bali and stayed to live. Gluttony in it cost about 30 dollars for two.
I won't forget their local Bintang beer - very nice.
On excursions. We did not take them from the guide and in general forgot about him right away - they undress them godlessly.
We arrived in the city (by taxi 10 dollars) and ordered a local Cheburashka (driver) for 40 dollars a day, who himself drove us around the island and showed everything. We traveled all over the island in 3 days. Fortunately, the peculiarity of excursions is such that they do not need to be listened to - they need to be watched.
In general, we saved a lot of money on excursions and meals, and the rest in a luxury hotel turned out to be affordable and unforgettable.
By the way. This hotel is so good and popular with wealthy Japanese that it was bought from the Ritz a few years ago and is now called Ayana.
