The food is excellent, but for dinner to drink - only cold water, when I ordered a bottle of "Egri Bicawer" everyone looked at me with surprise, because. 90% of vacationers are Hungarians themselves, they do not drink wine in a restaurant. Germans, Czechs can call in, but they do not make the weather. There are practically no our compatriots, no one speaks Russian, but English-German at the school level is quite sufficient for communicating with the staff. The hotel is in the center, so you can and should walk around the old city, streets with a lot of restaurants, all sorts of wine should be given their due. There is nothing particularly interesting in the castle, except for the tasting room and memories of the book and the film "Stars of Eger". Eger is a place for those who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city.
