This is my first trip to Croatia. I want to say right away that the nature is simply fabulous: bright rich colors, an abundance of national parks, picturesque islands, etc. As for Vodice, this is a small resort crowded with vacationers. On the beach and in the sea during the day it was not overcrowded. Relatively freedom was in the morning at 8 o'clock and in the evening from 19 o'clock.

The beaches in Croatia are public, sunbeds on the beach are paid (20 kunas per day). If desired, in order to save money, beach mats, umbrellas, etc. can be bought in numerous shops, but cheaper in supermarkets. As an option, since for vacationers in Olimpia sunbeds near the pool and umbrellas are free, and next to the pool there was a gate leading to a short path to the beach, you could swim in the sea and sunbathe by the pool, which many guests did. Next to the pool, under the stairs, there was a guy who gave out free towels. As for the exchangers, the best rate was in the Split bank, the nearest branch to the hotel was not far from the bus station. At the reception, you could take a Vodice map for free and ask the administrator how to get to the place you are interested in. By the way, they also contacted the guide through the administrator, approached the reception and asked to be connected. This service was absolutely free. Next to the hotel suprmarket Tommy - cheaper than in numerous Konzum-ah. I advise you to try the meat delicacy - prosciutto and Pashki goat cheese (bought at a local supermarket). Even in Croatia, delicious bread. My M. C. was delighted with pizza, ice cream and olive oil. Probably, the territorial proximity of Italy affected, from which the Croats adopted the secrets of cooking these dishes. The hotel is clean, bright, the staff is polite and attentive. The room was small, but in good condition, located in the building where the reception. The windows did not overlook the pool, but the courtyard, so it was quiet enough and you could sleep peacefully with the window open. Daily cleaning. For the entire stay, breakfasts were practically unchanged: three types of eggs, boiled vegetables, sausages, bread, cheese slices (4-5 types), two types of yogurt, cottage cheese, muesli, puff pastry, chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, salad , pepper, fruits. Dinner (buffet) was more varied. Every evening they gave juicy, ripe watermelons. In general, there were no complaints or complaints about the food: it was delicious and made from fresh ingredients. Animation Entertainment: in the evening in the lobby and then by the pool - live music. During the day in the pool - water aerobics. Contingent: German pensioners, many families with children (Germans, Croats), occasionally Italians, there were also young couples. There were few of our compatriots. Despite the abundance of children, it was quite quiet and calm. Vodice has a convenient location for those who like to combine beach and sightseeing holidays. Nearby are the national parks Krka and Kornati (excursion from 9-1.00, including lunch with wine, stop on the island with swimming in a salt lake, live music - 300 kunas). Independently by bus it was possible to get to the city of Sibenik (20-25 minutes), Split (driving more than 2 hours), Trogir (not reaching Split), Zadar. It was possible to get from Vodice by ferry to the city of Sibenik with stops on about. Zlarin and Fr. Prvich. In general, it turned out to be a rich, filled with pleasant impressions trip. I want to come back to Croatia.

I went to Olympia last summer with my husband. Let me tell you right now - I really enjoyed it! Near the hotel there is a nice swimming pool, there are sunbeds and umbrellas for free, but the sea, of course, cannot be compared with anything. The beach is clean and beautiful, the water is like in a fairy tale! We bought a lot of fruit and ice cream right on the beach.

The beach is clean and beautiful, the water is like in a fairy tale! We bought a lot of fruit and ice cream right on the beach. And they also have a convenient gentle shore near the hotel on the beach.
The surroundings of the hotel are very good, a sea of flowers and greenery, the staff is happy to help, everyone is very kind - nice people! They offered to take a picture of us and told us where we could have a tasty meal.
Our room was overlooking the pool - cozy, cleaned every day, towels were also changed every day. Plumbing is clean new, and there was Internet access. All in all, it was a great vacation! I recommend Olympia!

Hotel Olympia for those who came to "break away" in full. It is located in the "beach" center, next to loud bars, so there is a green light for young people, but if you want to relax with a child (as I wanted to do), then you will not be able to relax. Yes, you can close the window tightly and turn on the air conditioner, but did I escape to the sea for this? I can sleep with air conditioning at home, but at the sea I want to listen to the sea and breathe the sea.

I can sleep with air conditioning at home, but at the sea I want to listen to the sea and breathe the sea. I was especially struck by the night corporate party, which I saw with my own eyes for the first time in my life (it should be noted that before that I had not even heard that this happens! : this is when a crowd arrives in the evening (50-70 people), they are not placed in rooms, they crowd , like a herd of sheep by the pool in the courtyard of the hotel, they just set the tables in the bunker and they "buzz" all night - crowd with cigarettes by the pool, splash in it all night, of course with music, etc. All this continues until 6 a. m. A tightly closed window and air conditioning do not save you from this, you won’t sleep anyway. The position of the hotel is clear to me: while the hot season is on, you need to earn as much as possible, even to the detriment of vacationers living in the hotel. But only the second time I will definitely not come there!

Great place in every way!! ! We rested with a young man (we are 20 years old) and left completely delighted! The hotel itself is very stylish, bright, clean! The city is within reach. The city of Vodice is cozy, small, but at the same time with a large number of shops, cafes, bars, etc. In the center (from the hotel 20 minutes on foot) there is a bus station from which you can go wherever your heart you can go there too)), including islands with wild beaches and, accordingly, crystal water !! From Vodice they themselves went to the nat.

We decided to celebrate the first year of our son in Croatia. We have long wanted to visit the Adriatic. Finally, we decided on a sausage rest.
Bought tickets through the AVE-tour. Croatia, Vodice (Middle Dalmatia), Olympia 4 * hotel, 2 weeks, air, transfer, insurance, three meals a day (almost 2000 euros), we took 450 euros with us. UIA flew there, terrible flight attendants and an old plane, back - an excellent crew, I really liked it.
Until June 22, there were few people on the beach and in the hotel. And then the season began, there was a sea of people, insanely many. And everyone is friendly, they didn’t fight for places on the beach, and, in general, you could leave things on the beach and leave for several hours, no one touches them.
Money was changed at the airport, in Split. The course turned out to be higher than in the town of Vodice. In Split 1E = 7.28 kunas, in Vodice 1E = 7.18-7.20, and in the hotel and some exchange offices they take a commission of 1.5%. The IBSI host provided us with an individual transfer, because no one else went to this hotel from this company (although there were several families flying with us in the hotel itself). Arrived in the evening at 20:30, had time for dinner. The food is excellent and varied, there are always several types of fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, ice cream in general, everything (buffet). True, at lunch and dinner, drinks are paid. By the way, there is a supermarket next to the hotel, to the left of the main entrance, everything is there, and baby food, and air mattresses, and wine, only we did not find scotch tape there . If you buy beer in glass bottles, you pay an additional 2.5 kunas, but if you rent beer bottles, you do not pay 2.50 for each bottle. Beer costs 6-9 kunas. Wines from 15 kunas, but we took from 30 kunas Babich, for example, in my opinion tasty, I also liked Postup, but it is from 120 kunas.
Hotel: free Internet (!!! ), rooms are cleaned every day, towels are changed too. I don’t even know bed linen, tk. the little one either smeared the bed with chocolate, then broke his lip, or didn’t have time to put on a diaper - they changed us every other day. The room has a TV with a bunch of channels, incl. RTR-planet, safe, telephone (for international calls, dial 000 and then the number with the code), mini-bar, air conditioning - automatically turns on when the balcony is closed, on the balcony there is a table and two chairs. Breakfast from 7 to 10 am, lunch - 12-14, dinner 18-21. Almost every day live music on the terrace. Doesn't interfere with sleep. And the guys in the photo sing very cool, one of them worked at the Croatian embassy in Kyiv in 93-95. The hotel has 2 swimming pools, a children's pool with a slide and an adult up to 1.5 m. The beach is 100 m from the hotel, sunbeds are paid, but I don't know exactly how much. We bought foam mattresses from them at the market for 70 and 90 kunas and lay on them.
The beach is not a pebble, but a small crushed stone, an excellent foot massage (there is in the photo). It is advisable to enter the sea in special shoes, because. there are a lot of sea urchins in the sea (there is also a photo).
The hotel has a mini club for children from 4 years old. There is a slide, horizontal bars and swings. For adults: ping-pong (my husband made Germans and Croats, defending the honor of Ukraine), mini-golf, bingo, boccia. Water aerobics in the pool in the first half of the day.
Exchanges are only in the city center, which is 10 minutes from the hotel, and 7 minutes along the coast. There are many restaurants in the center. Rico is one of the expensive ones, Arausa is cheaper. In comparison, a portion of shkampi (oysters) in the first is 200 kn, in the second - 120 kn.
We went on an excursion to the national park Krka. We went by boat, it took 2.5-3 hours one way, in the park itself 3-3.5 hours. plus we had lunch there. We left at 9 am and arrived at the hotel at 5 pm. The cost per person is 290 kunas. You can swim in the waterfalls in the park. If I remember anything else, I'll be sure to post it. Rest VERY liked. I sincerely envy those who go there.
