Nice and fulfilling holiday!
Family vacation in August 2012. The tour was booked at the agency, because there are no direct flights to Croatia, and buying tickets for a charter without a travel agency is possible, but not easy, and already closer to departure (and I wanted to plan everything in advance).
The flight there was on time, from 14 to 17 all Kyiv charters were sent to Split. We refused the transfer, because we ordered a car on the Internet for all the days of our stay (the car was waiting for us in the airport parking lot). Siat Ibiza cost 170 euros for a week + we asked for full insurance (like our CASCO) - it cost another 45 euros. Yes, and also, you need to be prepared that your credit card will be charged twice as much as rent + insurance ...but when you return the car, this half will be returned to your card (in our case, the money fell on the card through 2 days after returning to Kyiv! ) So, all without cheating : )
We lived near Trogir in Meden 3 * apartments. From the airport by car 15 minutes (considering the traffic jam in the center of Trogir)!
As for the apartments: better take a suite, all suites are closer to the sea! We bought ordinary apartments on the tour, everything was fine: normal repairs, a cozy veranda closed by bushes from those passing along the path, only the sofa in the dining room does not unfold !! ! and a 16-year-old child was a bit cramped : )) Therefore, right on the spot, they changed it to a luxury apartment with 2 bedrooms (although they waited 2 days until they were free), the supplement was 30 euros per day. But the room was worth it - a balcony on the 2nd floor overlooking the sea and sprawling pine under the window...smell...beauty!
I won’t say anything about the infrastructure of the hotel, because we, having gone to the sea before breakfast, left to travel around the country for the whole day, and returned in the evening, again went to the sea, dined in a restaurant or on our terrace and slept : )
We took the tour without meals. There is a grocery store on the territory of the apartment village (however, there is not much choice, we only bought groceries there on the first evening).
Then they bought up in Trogir in the market or in the KOZUM market opposite the market. Prices for meat products, cheeses, bread, dairy products are 1.5-2 times higher than in Kyiv. Vegetables and fruits at the same price as ours.
As for catering on the territory of the apartment village: there are many different ones (! ) on the waterfront. We went to Joke's. We had a tasty and satisfying dinner, with their local wine and champagne, with dessert, for 600 UAH for three. But we were feasting! We also read good reviews on the internet about the ranch restaurant along the car descent from the reception to the sea, but we can’t say anything ourselves, because we saw the ranch: horses, donkeys, etc. , but the restaurant was dark all the time and people we didn't see it : (
Croatia is a travel destination! We traveled to many historical cities: Split, Trogir, Sibenik, Primosten ...were in two national parks Krka and Plitvice Lakes, on the islands of Brac and Hvar (lavender island! ). Impressions are amazing! And most importantly, moving does not spoil these impressions, because.
the roads are amazing too! : )
