To begin with, we did not get to Medena of our own free will, but thanks to the fool of the Zeta tour operator, who settled us there instead of a hotel on the island of Brac.
Maybe the previous 5 days spent in Montenegro at the Club Riviera 3 * resort (there are buildings for 3 * and 4 *) left their mark on our impression. Against the background of this rather good resort and for the money that was paid for Velaris Tourist Resort 4 * on the island of Brac, we expected much more.
The hotel is very bad, I do not recommend to anyone.
It should start with the fact that it was built somewhere in the 70s of the last century and the spirit of Soviet hack and desolation is felt in everything: starting from the marketplace that meets you right at the entrance to the hotel, I’m already silent on the coastal strip of stalls, and ending with that the pool is present only in the form of a dilapidated abandoned building. So even the declared 3 * resort does not pull in any way.

And now everything is in order.
1. As already mentioned, there is no pool. Given the rather cool sea in the vicinity of Trogir, this is a serious drawback.
2. We were accommodated in "superior" rooms, so I will write about them. The funny thing is that for these rooms they demand the price of a room in a good 4 * resort.
There, of course, repairs have been made and at first glance everything looks very decent. But! Gnarled hands are visible everywhere. An already cracked cardboard seat was placed on the new toilet, the seams between the bathroom and the tiles were laid very carelessly and the putty fell out in places, there was no bidet, the bed was narrow. And in general, there is not enough space in the room. But it was nothing compared to everything else.
3. In the dining room (to call this place a restaurant somehow the language does not turn) you will be met by queues, they are especially large at the beginning of dinner. The food is very poor and poor quality. I just wonder, why transfer so many products to make inedible food out of them?
For breakfast:
2-3 types of _boiled_ sausages of very poor quality,
cheese - 1 kind,
butter, jam, processed cheese, pate - portioned and equally inedible.
boiled eggs or scrambled eggs
bread
3 types of cereal for muesli
cottage cheese diluted with water, completely tasteless.
Drinks: cocoa and coffee, diluted so that the taste of posti is not felt, milk, tea bags, juices are also diluted to the point of obscenity - thin color and no taste.
True, there is a coffee machine, but there is always a queue for at least 10 minutes.
Dinner

There was a larger choice and there were even more complex dishes than sausage, for example cutlets, chicken, fried fry (because they have not yet grown to the size of a fish), french fries, pasta, vegetables... But fruits were in short supply: as soon as the canteen workers took out a tray of fruit, a queue immediately formed for them and the tray was swept away for 15 minutes. This is if the fruits were more or less edible. Green plums and apples were not successful, but after half an hour there were none left. Who did not come to the beginning of dinner, was left without fruit. For this I had to stand in a long queue for food (20 minutes).
Separately, it should be said that drinks during dinner were offered only for money at prices 3-4 times more expensive than in stores. Although the site of this hotel says that one drink per person should be free.
By the way, this is not the only deception in their advertising on the site.
4. Untidy territory - broken-down benches, construction debris. Only courts and fields where you can earn money are maintained in working order, because all entertainment is for a fee.
5. The hotel does not have its own beach. Although the coastal strip is located directly under the buildings (it takes about 5 minutes to go down), but all beach equipment is provided for a fee: 3 euros - a sunbed, 10 euros - a set of 2 sunbeds + an umbrella for the day. And along the coast, gendelyks and trading tents sit on top of each other. The coast is almost all concreted and only small clapboards of a pebble beach, and the pebbles are prickly. Yachts and boats moor right there, surfers rush...
People come here from the surrounding area and the beach is very crowded.
You can put up with all these conditions if the price were 2 times lower. There is no other way to call them thugs.
