In Croatia, my husband and I were the first time, before that we rested a couple of times in Egypt. And they concluded: Croatia is a country worth visiting! The nature is gorgeous, so much greenery, bushes, different trees, moreover, palm trees grow along with pines and thujas. The old town in Rovinj resembles Venice, the houses grow straight from the sea, narrow pedestrian streets with many souvenir shops.

About the hotel. When the travel agency offered us the Valdaliso 2 * hotel, we were a little embarrassed, because before that we had gone to good 4 * and 5 *, but upon arrival we realized that the criteria for evaluating hotels in Egypt and Croatia are probably different. The hotel is very cozy, consists of several 3 and 4-storey buildings. We lived on the 4th floor. an additional building in a room overlooking the sea (they didn’t pay anything extra for the room), the room is not luxurious, but clean, with the usual renovation and everything you need: beds, bedside tables, wardrobe, TV (1 Russian channel), bathroom combined (shower cabin), balcony with table and 2 chairs. There was no air conditioning, but it would not have been useful to us, since the evenings were cool, maybe because the month of June, we just left the balcony open at night, it was very fresh. There was also no refrigerator. Maybe for someone it's cons, for us it was not a problem. Cleaned every day, changed several times bedding and towels. In general, there are no complaints, well done, they followed the numbers well. Sunbeds on the beach are really paid for 3 euros a day, but a lot of people, including us, took towels and special beach mats from home, and no one imposed anything on us. As for food, that's a different story. We had breakfast and dinner included, we thought that we would be starving at lunchtime, we bought sausages, cookies, coffee from home and did it in vain, as they are fed there for slaughter. Swedish table with European cuisine is a dream of a Ukrainian tourist. Breakfasts were more monotonous, but dinner is always different: several types of meat, fish, fresh and grilled and steamed vegetables, several side dishes, mussels, yogurt, pastries were given twice. Fruits (bananas, kiwis, oranges, apples and pears) were given for breakfast and dinner. Also, wine was poured for dinner, 200g each. per person local production, red or white (dry) to choose from, who wanted more, you can drink for a fee.
The only thing is that I do not advise young, single people to go to this hotel, since vacationers are mostly married couples with and without children, and pensioners are foreigners. There is almost no animation, water aerobics in the least (there is no pool in the hotel, but you can go to a neighboring hotel for free! ), fitness in the morning; tennis and table tennis, volleyball, mini-disco. For lovers of evening shows and discos, you can go to the center of Rovinj (from Valdaliso every hour a boat floats for 20 kunas; 30 UAH per person or a bus 12 kunas; 15 UAH) there are many restaurants and cafes. We went once, got to the salsa festival, it was held on the embankment, both professionals and amateurs danced, it was very beautiful!
Excursions in Croatia are expensive, as for us, but the good news is that here you can move around the country completely on your own, which we did. We went to Pula by public transport (45-50 minutes drive from Rovinj), saw the famous Amphitheater and other sights. If you bring your driver's license with you, you can rent a car, and they also rent bicycles directly at the hotel. We went on only one excursion to Plitvice Lakes (80 euros per person) for the whole day with lunch, I highly recommend it, it's super beautiful, just fabulous!
