We have long dreamed of visiting Croatia, because we have heard about a wonderful vacation in a wonderful country.
The hotel was chosen mainly on the basis of photos and reviews of tourists. Were not mistaken. The hotel really deserves a good rating. Everything is absolutely unlikely to be perfect in any hotel. LAGUNA MEDITERAN deserves a very solid four.
In order:
- Receptionist:
wonderful, caring and understanding staff. Our requests were never ignored. They seem to speak whatever language they are spoken to. Thanks a lot to them.
- Number:
took a room with a sea view. A wonderful room with new plumbing, a wonderful view from the balcony, air conditioning, carpet on the floor. Notes on the room: there is no refrigerator in the rooms. rather strange, considering that the food at the hotel is breakfast - dinner. We couldn't store any fruit or water or ice cream. I had to go to the hotel bar or to the city for it and pay extra money.
It seems that they drink water there directly from the tap, then this can partially solve the problem of cold water in the heat. The rooms are planned in such a way that the floor of the balcony (respectively, without soft covering) is, as it were, part of the ceiling of the room on the floor below. Therefore, if you are unlucky with neighbors who like to sit on the balcony and chat at night, move chairs on it, you are guaranteed a "fun night". Cleaning in the room is so-so. But towels are changed every day, bed - every other day. No complaints about bed linen, bed, towels - great.
- Swimming pool:
nice pool, clean water, does not smell sharply of bleach, as happens in other places. Every not rainy early morning they wipe the sunbeds, wash the floor by the pool. There is a shallow children's pool.
- Restaurant:
they cook well, but we would rate the kitchen at 4-. For those who are on a diet, it will be difficult because there is no diet food.
Is that cottage cheese, boiled potatoes, boiled sausage, boiled fish, raw and boiled vegetables. Soups are terrible. I didn't like the pastries and cookies at all. The bread is good. In general, there are no signature dishes that are cooked with soul, so that, as they say, you will lick your fingers. Unfortunately. But that's just our opinion. Pretty monotonously prepared, we were tired of food by the end of the week, but it was cooked soundly. At least I had big problems in Turkey after eating them. This hotel has no problems. Fish is served every day, several kinds. Drinks are included in the price of breakfast and dinner. Including champagne in the morning and wine in the evening.
- Territory:
The hotel does not have its own special territory. But this is not necessary, because it is located in a huge forest park by the sea, walk as much as you want, while your legs are walking. Everywhere is very clean. The hotel does not have a special chic on the embankment, but this place is suitable for those who love the forest and wildlife.
For children there is a playground and extra. entertainment for a fee near the hotel.
- Beach:
the beach is public, municipal. Find your favorite place where you want and sunbathe. Sunbeds are paid. Everyone buys inexpensive mattresses and lies on them. I didn't really like the platforms. Not bad, but the sand is still better. The water is beautiful and clean.
- Entertainment:
who is looking for a noisy nightlife there, then this is not your hotel. The main entertainment is the beach, the sea, the pool, bike rental and more. In the evenings there is a small animation with music for children. And then for adults, as a rule, a concert on the site of the hotel with live music. Loud, but until 23.30 and that's it. This music is heard in absolutely all rooms with a sea view. So even with the windows closed, you won’t fall asleep until half past eleven (with earplugs too). Then at night it's normal, quiet.
Separately, I want to express my admiration for the air.
Fragrant, filled with the smells of fresh sea breeze, flowers and needles, it is magnificent. In the evenings, walking along the sea to and from Poreč is just great.
