The first thing I want to note is the huge pine trees throughout the territory. The hotel occupies a whole peninsula, along the coast there are many equipped beaches with entry into the sea. Basically platforms, on both sides of the peninsula there are two small-pebble beaches with a convenient entry for children. Renting a sun lounger for the whole day costs 20 kunas (the exchange rate at the end of June was 5.3 to the dollar; 7.6 to the euro). I didn’t see umbrellas, those who want to lie in the shade can always find a place in the shade of pines. There are blue flags along the coast, I think there are four on the beaches of the hotel, which means the beaches are very clean. The territory of the hotel is very beautiful and well-groomed. Throughout the hotel there are one-story apartments with small terraces, in the center there is a two-story hotel building, where the reception and the main restaurant are located. Near the A la Carte restaurant with two terraces. Nutrition is a different story.
I like to stay in hotels where there is only breakfast, but it so happened that we bought a breakfast/dinner package and did not regret it at all. The variety of dishes is not very large, but there is always something to choose from and very tasty food. Every time I wanted to say . . well, why don't I have two stomachs. For children, there are always cereals (buckwheat, oatmeal), cereals, stew, boiled meat. There are a lot of fruits for dinner, in the morning there were mostly only watermelons, melons, pineapples, grapes and cherries. At dinner, drinks are paid, ice cream is free. There are always veal, chicken and fish dishes. The service is unobtrusive, there were never queues, there was always clean dishes (those who rested in the peak season in Turkey know what I'm talking about). There is another A la Carte restaurant on site right next to the beach, it is a little simpler and cheaper than near the reception, more snacks. There are also 2 restaurants at the exit of the hotel, i. e.
if you come to LAGUNA GALIJOT VILLA 4* only with Breakfast, there is always a place to eat. In general, the hotel is very quiet, clean and comfortable. You pass by the apartments and you understand that everything is full, but people are somehow not visible. A separate story about seagulls and squirrels. The loudest in the hotel were seagulls, which begged the residents for at least some goodies. There was an impression that they broke the hotel into sectors and begged from the guests. Seagulls more impudently try to pull off everything that lies unattended and everything happens very “neatly” : ), the children were delighted. Don't leave anything to eat on the balcony. Every day at 7 in the morning, one of the representatives of this family woke us up, outraged that she had not yet been fed. For squirrels, we bought peanuts in Poreč , it was a separate pleasure to feed the squirrels and watch the competition between squirrels and seagulls : ).
We were seated very quickly. There were 3 room options to choose from.
We chose a room with a side sea view (20 meters from the building), but on the second floor. Everything is very clean, cleaned very well. Somewhere on the third day, going into the room, I saw a note with the word HVALA, which means thank you in Russian, it was very nice, although the tip was the same as in other hotels in Europe. Plumbing is excellent, windows, air conditioning everything worked.
For sports lovers, the hotel has tennis courts, table tennis tables, volleyball, football, sports grounds with fitness equipment. For children there is a kids club, there is a playground.

Be sure to visit the city of Poreč , from the hotel to Poreč about 2.5 km. You can go, take a special eco-train (travel 20 kunas for an adult, 10 kunas for a child) or sail on a boat (runs every half an hour). The schedule is at the reception. The hotel is located in the lagoon (Plava Laguna), a boat from Porec will bring you directly to the lagoon embankment.
In general, the Poreč region is very picturesque and ecologically clean. According to Marta, our representative at the TUI hotel, Croatia is the only country in the world where you can drink tap water. Poreč has a huge number of paths for walking and cycling enthusiasts. Each hotel, including the Galijot Hotel, has bike rentals. The longer you take the bike, the cheaper it is. Maximum cost per adult 1 hour 30 kunas. We left to ride outside the city of Porec along the coast, saw a rental where the price was 50 kunas for the whole day. The rental office gives out a map of cycling routes, before I went I looked at the routes here, this site has a lot of useful information about Poreč . A paved path with beautiful views leads to Poreč along the coast; it is not at all difficult to walk to the city on foot.
In the old part of the city is the Euphrasian Basilica, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List (must visit). In the town there is a marina, a huge number of restaurants, shops, souvenir layouts. And just the Mediterranean style of the city is incredibly inspiring with its cobbled narrow streets, and the embankment offers a magnificent view of the island. Saint Nicholas.
During the week we walked a lot, rented a car (40 euros per day), in one day we walked to the city of Vrsar (we walked from 10 am to 7 pm : )), I went to Venice. A sea of impressions! LAGUNA GALIJOT VILLA 4* is the best hotel on the coast and I plan to become its regular customer.

The hotel is very well located, on a separate cape, among the Mediterranean pines. The territory is clean and tidy, lots of flowers.
The food is very good, the choice of dishes is large, there are a lot of fruits, ice cream is given in the evening, drinks are paid for dinner. It should be noted that the staff of the main restaurant - great fellows: always clean, always polite, and very tasty dishes, and the choice of dishes does not decrease even if you come at the end of the meal.
Paid restaurants on site didn’t really like it - a little expensive, average in taste (nothing like that), portions are smaller than usual in Croatian restaurants. We loved going to lunch at the Edro restaurant, not far from the Valamar Crystal hotel.
The beaches here are small, but there are a lot of them around the hotel, there are always places and there is no impression that there are a lot of people, because. all scattered on small beaches. Considering that the hotel stands alone on a cape, the sea is around from three sides, and from any point to the sea no more than 100 meters.
Of the minuses:
- Internet is quite expensive, 24 kunas per hour (there is no free), but there is access both in the room and on the beach.
- there were problems with the settlement: we bought a double room in the see side villa, at first we settled with a view of the wall of the neighboring building, they asked to overpower - the manager's response to the reception "there are no other rooms and we have around the sea side", they asked to show where you can see sea from our room and make a note in the voucher (because the cost of rooms with a view of the sea and the park is different), only after that there was a room, but the square of the other room was 1.5 times smaller than the previous one, as it turned out to be single numbers. In general, we did not achieve the truth, we lived in a single room (there is still a double bed there), because. They said there were no other rooms. the room was small, there was nowhere to put an extra bed (for those who would travel with a child - this would be a problem)
- cleaning wants to be better: on the balcony, and even in the room, the dust had to be wiped off by yourself. once they forgot to put towels (they are changed every day), asking to bring them is a problem. We came from the beach and wanted to swim, but there were no towels, we called the reception three times, until she went for towels, the ice did not move.
In general, we are satisfied with the rest, despite the spoiled mood during check-in.

Dear compatriots! Be careful when booking a hotel in Croatia (Hotel Galijot, Plava Laguna, Porec, Istra, Croatia)! Check if the room you are offered matches the number on the voucher. So, they can put you in a single room (one bed and one blanket), instead of a double room, and at the same time, looking with honest eyes, say that this is a double room and they only have such rooms, there are no others. … More ▾ Dear compatriots!
The next day, after certain negotiations, you will be able to receive the number indicated in the voucher. The sea view as stated on the voucher can also be problematic due to "no rooms". When contacting the hotel director, the answer was received that this is a normal phenomenon: out of 7 nights, spend one night in a room that costs much less and which you did not order. Thus, decent money is earned from our tourists.

We rested in the specified hotel in the apartments. There were 3 adults and 2 children: 1.9 and 3.10 years old. On the vast territory of the hotel, which is also a national park, among the centuries-old pines and an abundance of greenery, on the peninsula, there are small houses of 3 rooms (2 bedrooms, a living room with a kitchen), a bathroom and a small cozy terrace in front of the house. Each house is located in close proximity to the sea. because it surrounds the hotel from all sides. Unusually clean air, you just can't breathe! Everything is absolutely environmentally friendly! The products are excellent. Cooked themselves, bought at the market in Poreč , a 20-minute walk from the hotel along a picturesque footpath. You can also take a tourist road train there or take a small ship to reach the city in 5 minutes directly from the hotel. You can also eat at the hotel, but it's a bit pricey in our opinion. Yes, and cooking such fresh fish yourself is a pleasure! And in the city, of course, there are many cozy cafes and restaurants that are quite affordable. There is a pool with heated sea water, not deep, convenient for children. . There are playgrounds right on the seashore: children play, you sunbathe! Descents to the sea, for every taste. You can also find sand, although, no matter how strange it may sound, but stones poured into concrete are also very, very comfortable! Everything is thought out and convenient! Everywhere is unusually clean. There is a rental of everything you want (from bicycles to helicopters). Rest mainly Germans, Americans and Russians. We rented a car (100 euros for our company), went to Plitvice Lakes (wonder of the world! ). The roads are super, the cars too! Porec itself is an ancient city built by the Italians. Very beautiful, calm, cozy; such a classic European town with narrow streets and friendly people! I really want to go there again and advise you!

Great hotel with air conditioning. The food is just exceptionally varied. The only thing is that the beach is not sandy, but rocky, but it is almost everywhere in Istria. However, everything is equipped so that you can swim. And one more minus (however, for someone else) - a lot of nudists. However, it is also mono to hide from them, in extreme cases, not to notice. Anyone looking for peace will find it here. And there are discos and bars nearby, 15 minutes on foot, in the Green Lagoon.
