We are a family that travels a lot and often, but we have not seen such a disgusting breakfast as in this, if I may say so, hotel. Products are frankly rotten. The fruits are sluggish, shriveled, given that it is August. In general, if it were not for the remnants of the once luxurious interior of the hotel, there is nothing positive to write about.

It is located in the very center of Opatija on the second line. The windows overlook the road and the hotel in front, so it's not worth overpaying for a room with a sea view, it's still almost invisible. There are carpets in the corridors, five meters high ceilings, crystal chandeliers everywhere - in general, in the style of the Soviet period. Double doors in all rooms - silence, as if you are alone. There are wooden shutters on the windows, the walls are thick, so the rooms are not hot at all, air conditioners are not needed. The furniture is really old, but the rooms are clean, all plumbing is working. Cleaned up every day. They don’t steal, they didn’t hide money much, they left a camera, mobile phones, even gold jewelry on the bedside table - everything is intact. Good food buffet. Fish, several meat dishes, chicken, vegetables of all kinds, rice, pasta, pizza, jams, pickles, you won't go hungry. For dessert, melons, watermelons, plums, cakes, jelly, take as much as you like. Cooked well, no one complained. Only tea, water, juices only for breakfast, for dinner, all drinks are paid. I advise you to take a boiler with you (which we did), and have tea in the room, you still want to drink. We had two meals a day, but there were no problems. Near the store where you can buy everything. Near the market, there are fruits and vegetables. There is a wine shop next to the market, there is quite a decent wine of a local factory and inexpensive. They also sell local olive oil, we bought it and liked it. All beaches are free, public. Where you like it, lie down there, they won't chase you. The beach itself is concrete slabs, sun loungers, umbrellas for a fee. Some sunbathe just on the rocks. We went to the Kvarner hotel where the bottom is sandy and there are no hedgehogs. However, you can buy bathing slippers, they are sold on every street in all colors and sizes and inexpensively. The sea is clean, the water is very salty and holds well, you won’t drown. In the evening everyone goes outside, music is everywhere, each hotel has its own program with songs and dances. But exactly at 24.00 everything falls silent and becomes quiet. Slept calmly. We did not go on excursions, we regretted the time. We ourselves walked to the neighboring town of Lavran, which is about six kilometers along the coast. I advise you to go, you pass very beautiful places, and the town is interesting. We also went by boat to the islands of Krk and Kres. Entertaining tour. On the boat they gave us drink and food, and sang songs. On the islands they gave personal time for two hours. You want to walk, but you want to swim. By the way, the sea there is just a miracle, there is nowhere like it. In general, we are satisfied with the rest, we did not want to leave.

There are no pools in the hotel, you are offered to relax on the city beach. The beach is good, concrete plateau, clean, sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, the sea is wonderful, there are no hedgehogs.
