I stayed at the hotel in the second half of June. I really liked the hotel. This is one of the best hotels on the coast of Makarska. The food is decent: fish and meat, vegetables in several forms, including grilled pizza, mussels were several times, delicious sausages and cheeses, ice cream every evening, in general, pancreatin tablets will not be superfluous.
There is practically no evening animation. The territory of the hotel is small and with a full load of space near the pool may not be enough. The beach is small and densely populated by vacationers. The sea is large pebbles, you will be much more comfortable if you take swimming slippers with you. Wi-fi throughout and even on the beach. Croatia, as it turned out, is not a cheap country. By the way, it is much more profitable in most stores to pay in local currency. The euro is not in use, they do not like cards.
Makarska is a pretty town, but very small, you can get around it in one day. I recommend walking up the hill to the botanical garden. The opening views and the beauty of the landscape will not leave you indifferent. In general, I came to the conclusion that one should go to Croatia for the pleasure of gawking at the nature of crazy beauty and ancient architecture, this is not comparable with many countries. You should definitely go to Plitvice Lakes, see Dubrovnik, Split, etc. And for that kind of money you can get a beach holiday much higher in Turkey.
