First, there are endless crowds. Wherever you go - everywhere the people are dark. It is not clear why the hotel does not confirm the cleanliness of the beach (UNESCO blue flag) every year: in the morning (I went out specially before breakfast to swim before the crowds of tourists) I saw several bottles of wine left by young people the night before and cigarette butts. Not to mention the purity of the water: in the evening, apple cores, mowed grass, plastic scraps and bags, labels, and other rubbish float in the water. Yes, and every evening locals came to the beach to relax, mostly teenagers and children. The whole beach was littered with umbrellas and sunbeds with tourists, and under the sunbeds or near them, locals sunbathed on pebbles and slabs. No privacy. In Dubrovnik, it was also hard to breathe - people are everywhere.
Secondly, the kitchen was unpleasantly surprised. Probably only the lazy did not write about monotony, these are all trifles, in the end, for a change, you can eat in restaurants. But over-salted and overcooked fish and seafood, bitter marinated tuna and salmon, unripe wooden peaches - this is something... The result of our vacation (were resting with my mother) was poisoning - thank God that on the last day. But it didn’t seem enough, I don’t remember how I flew, I know that the flight attendants on the plane helped a lot. And for 3 more days at home I was on a strict diet. Mom was a little better, but she also got poisoned.
Thirdly, we were unpleasantly surprised by classical music: just before our departure, the restaurant arranged a special evening with music and the distribution of a cake (by the way, this cake may also have been the cause of poisoning, since the filling was raw egg whites whipped with powdered sugar). So, a string quartet was playing, and one of the violinists was shamelessly lying, it was difficult to listen to this cat concerto, but it was impossible to eat to it.
Fourthly, the bath in the room is designed in such a way that it is impossible for a person who has problems with the musculoskeletal system to get into it. Mom, who broke her leg two years ago, has never (! ) been able to take a bath in the whole vacation. And I, climbing over the side, hit my foot on the edge of the tub.
Among the advantages of the hotel are only the location by the sea, green terraces and large rooms. Dubrovnik, in addition to its border location (Albania, Montenegro, etc. is within easy reach) and its cultural program, also has few advantages. In my subjective opinion, these pluses are not worth it to come back here. Next time we will go either to a new region (Middle Dalmatia) or to the Istrian peninsula.
In addition, Dubrovnik is Dubrovnik, as if you are relaxing in a fairy tale, especially if you are in the Old Town.
And the President itself is located on the cape of Babino Kut, all rooms overlook the sea - it's beautiful.
