I want to warn tourists choosing a hotel. My single room was a little bigger than a cabin on sea ferries. The old huge air conditioner rattled, and it was impossible to open the window, since it opened into a "well" formed by the wall of the building and the slope of the mountain about three meters from the window. And in this "well" there was something like a transformer, the noise from which penetrated around the clock even through a closed window, along with smells from the restaurant kitchen.
The hotel manager assured me that all single rooms in the hotel are like this. In order for me to have a choice, she offered to move from my 2nd floor to the same room, but to 1. There was another option: a double room above the same transformer, but for 4 days with a return back at the first request. It would make my holiday so much better.
The windows of double rooms with French balconies overlooked the same courtyard. In 10 days, I have never seen open windows on this wall. The charms of such a "rest" were very impressive at night.
