Free fitness involuntarily
Just returned from Croatia a week ago. Resort Baska Voda. Of course, I perfectly understood that the food was very budgetary and decided not to make any special claims. But what I saw shocked me and all the guests of the villa "Dragica". First, the size of the rooms. All the photos vilely lied, as well as the manager of the Hummingbird travel agency Ekaterina (by the way, this lady has special respect for her "attentive" attitude to the requests of tourists). In some rooms, the bed occupied the entire area, in others the exit from the shower was directly into the toilet or you had to be a yogi, in the third there was nothing but a bed and a closet. Oh yes, there were kitchens consisting of a sink and stove but without tables. With chairs, the same trouble, well, they are not in the rooms. When buying a ticket, the manager promised that the villa is 500 meters from the sea and assured several times that there was no elevation difference. In fact, it turned out that in a good kilometer and with a slope of 35-40 degrees. In general, all the guests were horrified. The rest turned out to be spoiled - every descent to the sea or for lunch or to the store is another climb in 40-degree heat along a hot street without a shadow. To the indignation of tourists, the guide from our bus cynically stated that we should enjoy free fitness, but he himself lived in a different hotel. Otherwise, the rest was quite standard for August in a small seaside village: a lot of pizza, a lot of bodies on the beach, a gorgeous sea, delicious coffee, a promenade in the evenings, "fun" Croatian discos to local music that lulls you to sleep from the second chord.
