Rested with her husband in Milenia in early September. We were very pleased with the hotel, the unusually clear sea and the wonderful nature of the Makarska Riviera. In Croatia for the fourth time, were in different regions, but this place is the best! The hotel is built in such a way that the balconies of absolutely all rooms overlook the sea, so there are no extra charges. On the ground floor there is a restaurant, reception, etc. , no rooms. We lived in a double apartment (from the entrance you get into the kitchen-living room, which has a small kitchen wall, an electric oven, a toaster, a kettle, an extractor hood, a minimum of necessary utensils, then a corridor with a door to the bathroom (with a Jacuzzi bathtub and a shower) and a bedroom with balcony, air conditioning both in the kitchen and in the bedroom, there is only one Russian-language channel, wired internet in the hotel lobby for a fee). There are rooms with two and three bedrooms. Cleaning is good (which is rare for Croatia) and regular. The advantage of the hotel is that it is practically the last one on the promenade, there is no further car passage, so it is quite quiet. The beach is good, pebbles and sand in places at the entrance to the sea, there are no stones, you need to walk 15-20m to it through an underpass (under the road), there is a bar, a pizzeria on the beach. Sun loungers, umbrellas, as elsewhere for extra. a fee, but if you buy in the morning, then you don’t even have to leave things when you leave, the guy remembers you and makes sure that they don’t take you. There are very few Slavs in the hotel, there is no animation. The pool is small, but they swam in it only with very young children, because the sea has a very good entry and the children are quite comfortable. A good restaurant at the hotel, we bought vouchers with HB, then we regretted it a little. Breakfast is great (rich buffet, scrambled eggs cooked on request). Dinner - menu (the night before you choose a soup, a main course, a dessert from 5-6 options, the portions are huge, they often refused something, drinks are not included in the price of dinner). The waiters - well done, they noticed that we chose one of the tables, put a sign "reserved" without asking. Croatia has great beer, my husband liked Lasko, and the Croats themselves love Karlovacko, and the hotel restaurant also has good draft homemade wine. For beer, they bought boiled-frozen local shrimps with claws - langoustines (in the Konzum supermarket and the Pivac butcher shop about $ 20 kg in packs, very tasty). We did not go on excursions with a tour operator; Croatia has good bus and sea navigation. Go to the pier in the center, they offer boat trips. We sailed on a wooden boat called Rara to the islands of Hvar (an old town with a beautiful church ~ 1 hour of free time), then Brac (Golden Horn beach near the town of Bol, you can swim ~ 2 hours), in between lunch with homemade wine (fish, chicken fillet with salad). All the fun is about $50 per person from 9am to 7pm. For lovers of walks, be sure to go on foot to Makarska (not close, about 9 km one way), but the road always goes through a coniferous forest along the coast, pass several villages where you can have a bite, wonderful beaches (by the way, with a huge number of pension nudists age), go around the mountain. . . In general, the impression is unforgettable (you can return back by bus, they run every half an hour). There were quite a lot of tourists in Baska Voda in September compared to other towns. The exchange rate in exchange offices is very different from the bank one, and if you get out to Makarska, it’s better to change there (there are several different banks with an order of magnitude higher exchange rate). From Makarska there is a ferry service to Split, and you can also get to the islands of Korcula and Mljet (there was no connection from Baska Voda in September). If you decide to take a bus to Split and Trogir, you can go up to the highway and, after crossing it, take almost any passing bus, they go at intervals of about half an hour, the price is ~ $ 10, go 1-1.5 o'clock. In any of the local travel agencies, you will definitely see them, you can take a free map of the town where you are in English indicating all the sights, there are also maps on the billboards in the center (for example, there are even several of them in Makarska), it is very easy to navigate them . You can easily get to almost any city in Croatia on your own if you don’t want to take a tour or want to save money (well, maybe, except for Plitvice Lakes and Krk waterfalls). You can talk a lot about Croatia, and we love this country very much. And Baska Voda simply conquered us and we plan to come here again.

The hotel is located across the road from the sea, you can go down to the beach through the underground parking. Pebble beach, small but all in the pines so you can sit and after lunch without fear of burning, the sea is clean, but without fish. Let's say that the hotel as well as the whole resort is suitable for a very quiet holiday, no special entertainment or discos here.

The hotel is small, clean, cozy, the nature around is just wonderful (the mountains almost reach the coast and the impression that they hang right overhead is very nice) The hotel restaurant is a separate story. he is small. but here they know how to cook simple dishes so delicious that even behind the ears "cracked". Fresh seafood has always been available, and the portions are just huge. I would like to add that I have traveled quite a lot and at the same time visited many restaurants, but such delicious dishes as in this hotel still did not eat.
There were also disadvantages: firstly, a very small pool, and secondly, we lived in an apartment (we ordered a two-room) and it turned out that one room was normal, and the other was a kitchen, and a bedroom (sofa bed) and pantry dark because there were no windows). In short, on the territory of both the rooms and the hotel itself is very saved, this is explained by the fact that in Croatia the land is very expensive. No infrastructure, no animation at all. Holidays for retirees or for families with small children.
