Paradise Beach and Chryssi akti are two different hotels with one small area. Breakfasts for guests of both hotels are held at the Chryssi akti hotel.
We rested at the Paradise Beach Hotel from 09/20/2010 to 10/01/2010. We went from Solvex. The hotel is located in Argassi, a small resort village near the capital of the island.
The hotel justifies its 3 stars - no more, no less. Meals - only breakfasts (there is little variety, but there was enough to eat), rooms are cleaned with the change of towels every day, bed linen is changed every three days. The room has a hair dryer (weak), refrigerator (rather roomy), TV (no Russian channels, you need to ask the administrator for the remote control upon check-in), air conditioning (for a fee in autumn, the remote control is also at the reception, but we didn’t need air conditioning), balcony / loggia.

It is better to take rooms with a sea view. I would like to pay special attention to mosquitoes - there are A LOT of them !!! , so it is better to come with a fumigator (or buy it already on the spot). I was also a little surprised by the lack of curtains in the shower cabin and a hook for the shower hose, respectively, when using the shower, the entire room is splashed. There is no proper shower by the pool. Some tap with water on the side of the hotel ; )). But these are all trifles. A huge plus of the hotel is the beach: it is small in size, but located almost immediately after the descent from the pool, a good entrance to the water, a sandy bottom. And the hotel itself is well located: it’s not noisy to sleep, it’s a maximum of 10 minutes walking distance to the center of the village. In the center there are souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, grocery stores and households. goods. To the capital of the island, the city of Zakynthos, go 5 minutes by car. You can also get there by bus (runs on a strange schedule) for 1.4 euros or by tourist train for 5 euros. The capital itself is small, at the top are the remains of a fortress, the entrance there is paid, but inexpensive.
We did not take excursions, we explored the island on our own by renting a car - the cost for 3 days with full insurance is 90 euros + gasoline.
From the lighthouse you can go by boat to the blue caves for 7 euros and to the bay with a "pirate" ship for 8 euros. In the neighboring village of Lagana on the beach, you can also buy tickets for a boat and go to the turtle island (10 euros). Almost all villages sell their own wine, olive oil, honey and various souvenirs. And along the way there are many places with beautiful panoramic views.
