We rested in June for 7 days, the tour operator "Biblioglobus", the host party "Beleon Tours".

When choosing a hotel from the tour operator, Mabely Grand Hotel seemed to be the most attractive hotel for us. There were practically no reviews at the moment, the information on the hotel's personal website helped. We knew that the hotel does not have its own beach and a remote location from all entertainment, but this is not a problem for us, because we planned to rent a car to drive to the beaches and attractions of Zakynthos. So we did, upon arrival we rented a car from our guide, you can, of course, rent a car in the city (it will be a little cheaper), but there is nothing to get to the city from the hotel, because there is no public transport in Zakynthos, but a taxi from the hotel to the center is very expensive.

The hotel has its own minibus that takes guests to the beaches and the city, but it is very difficult to sign up for it, there are many vacationers, and there is only one minibus (by the way, this was one of the problems for vacationers at the hotel).

We rented a Kia Picanto for 5 days for 175 euros with full insurance and drove around the whole island in it, saw all the sights ourselves and saved enough money on excursions. I recommend everyone to do this, it really turns out cheaper, for example, an excursion to the famous Navajo Bay and the blue caves from the Tour Operator costs 60 euros, and if you buy it yourself (there are boat stations on many beaches), it costs 20 euros per person.

And now about the hotel itself.

Upon arrival at the hotel take a deposit of 50 euros, you can give a bank card.

The location is generally not very good, but the place is beautiful.
The hotel is located in the village of Kambi, Mabely Grand is the only hotel in the area, there are also several private houses and 2 taverns in the village. In one of these taverns, the tour operator spends a Greek evening for 30 euros per person, not very interesting, we drove by and saw everything.

The territory of the hotel is very beautiful and well-groomed, but not very big. On the territory there are 2 swimming pools, 2 bars, one in the lobby, the second by the pool. The hotel is in a good (expensive) refurbishment, all common areas are in good condition and clean. There is a gym and a spa center, you can use everything for free. There is also free wi-fi in the lobby (so-so speed).

The rooms are spacious, cleaned well, towels and bed linen are changed every day, there are bath amenities, a safe in the room is free. We had a ground floor room overlooking the sea with a huge 30m terrace.

The food at the hotel is very good at the highest level.

We always found something to eat, you won't go hungry. Breakfasts always include eggs in different types, ham of different types, cheeses, muesli, potatoes, mushrooms, beans, vegetables, fruits and a lot of different pastries, very good quality juices, not yuppies, waiters always bring a choice of tea or coffee. Dinner always has a lot of different salads, 3 types of meat, fish, pasta, soup and delicious desserts and ice cream. If you do not have all-inclusive, then you have to pay for drinks for dinner (a bottle of water costs 3 euros, lemonade 0.2 l. 3 euros, a bottle of wine from 15 euros).

The service at the hotel is top notch, everyone is responsive and friendly. There are no hints of tips, as in the Arab countries, for example.
The only thing that was a little disappointing, if you have a late check-out and you don’t renew the room, then the reception says that they have nowhere to take a shower after the pool and change clothes, and you can’t use the spa area, but we didn’t listen to them and used the showers in the spa area, no one noticed

Entertainment in the hotel is not at all, very boring! I do not advise families with children to go, there will be nothing for children to do there, and in general there were practically no children in this hotel.

Of the vacationers, mostly English, Poles, French and a little Russian, which pleased) The age category is pensioners ! ! !

In conclusion: if you do not need parties, but need a good passive rest, then you are here!

If you are planning to rent a car and drive around the island, I do not recommend taking all inclusive, as you will not be able to drive for lunch. You can dine in the numerous taverns of the island, they are there on every corner.
In general, we really liked the rest, Zakynthos is a very beautiful island and 7 days were more than enough for us! I advise everyone!
