Zakynthos is a place you fall in love with right away and the memories of the island haunt you for a long time. Everything is good here: nature, the sea, cozy houses and, of course, the locals. I rested in different places on Zakynthos, in Vasilikos, Kalamaki, Laganas, Tsilivi, and this year I got to the village of Alykes. And I will tell you, I remember him for his wonderful sandy beach, with crystal clear, beautiful water, for his leisurely and calm life. There are good supermarkets in Alykes (for example, the Montes supermarket with its own bakery, where you can buy fresh pastries in the morning), souvenir kiosks, ATMs, a huge variety of restaurants where everyone will find dishes to their liking. Oddly enough, seafood is quite expensive on Zakynthos, but the locals cook it here very, very tasty. There is even a water sports center in Alykes. I took advantage of this opportunity and swept at speed on a large cushion. Such adrenaline!
I stayed at the Konstantin Beach Hotel. Very clean, comfortable, bright hotel with well-groomed territory. I had a room on the first floor near the sea, their rooms also had a view of the neighboring island of Kefalonia. The room is decorated in a restrained style, with comfortable modern furniture, and most importantly, good sanitary ware in the bath. Free Wi-Fi (best caught in a restaurant), safe in the closet (free of charge), TV with 2-3 Russian channels, hair dryer, air conditioning (6 euros per day) and mini fridge. I ate according to the all inclusive system in the hotel restaurant. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there was a small but varied buffet. They served dairy products, cereals, yogurts, various pastries and desserts, meat (beef, pork, lamb, chicken, rabbit), fish, side dishes (potatoes, rice, stewed vegetables), fresh vegetable and fruit salads. From 11 to 23 at the bar you could take tea, coffee, water, juices, wine, beer, soft drinks and high-grade alcohol. In the heat, you could refresh yourself on the sand and pebble beach at the hotel and in the pool, which was open from 10-19, and soak up the sun on the sun loungers by the pool (sun beds, by the way, are also free).

On its territory there are showers where you can rinse after the sea, sunbeds and umbrellas (free of charge). And the entrance to the sea is just perfect: it is gentle, even, with light pebbles and dense sand further on. The sea itself is a fairy tale. It is quiet, gentle, warm and pleases with its blue and turquoise tints. The view from my room was also the sea. In the evenings, I sat on the balcony and saw off the sunsets.
The number satisfied me completely. Spacious enough and equipped with only the most necessary: air conditioning (6 euros per day), safe (free of charge), hair dryer, TV, telephone by which you can contact the reception, comfortable bed, comfortable furniture and high-quality plumbing. Small bottles of shampoo and shower gel filled the room only upon arrival. The room was cleaned every day, and towels and bed linen were changed every three days. The hotel has an all inclusive system and it was possible to take coffee, tea, water, juices, soft drinks, beer, wine and some high-grade alcohol at the bar from 11:00 to 23:00.
Ate in buffet style. It is quite diverse: there was meat, poultry, fish, a lot of side dishes, fresh vegetables, author's salads, desserts and fruits. However, I would like more whole fruits, and not watermelons, melons, nectarines and oranges cut into a salad)
I loved walking around the village of Alykes and always found something interesting in it, especially among the restaurants and taverns. Of all the variety, I liked the restaurant "Fidelio", which serves the most delicious seafood, chicken, turkey, meat steaks and much more. The prices there are very good, from 9 euros per person you can just overeat. I liked the seafood pasta and the juicy grilled salmon steak. Alykes also has a concentration of souvenir shops, ATMs, supermarkets and much more. But I always bought bottled water and other products in the supermarket "Sydney" 50 meters from the hotel - it is the closest and the prices there are much better. But if you want to find something worthwhile from souvenirs, then there is only one way for you - to the capital of the island, the city of Zakynthos. On the main pedestrian street of Alexandra Roma there are shopping arcades where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, leather goods and much more. You can get to the capital from Alykes by regular bus for 1.80 euros. Or you can order a taxi, but the prices are just cosmic - 25 euros one way.
On the island I had a purely passive holiday. But after a few days, I wanted to diversify my vacation, and I went on a cruise to the habitat of turtles Carriage Carriage. The cruise was busy but not stressful. For 4 hours we made a boat trip in the bay of Laganas, looking for turtles, swimming in the grottoes of the island of Marathonisi and the most beautiful grottoes on the island - the blue caves of Keri. Then a delicious lunch was waiting for us right on board the ship. I will never forget these beautiful landscapes and the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea.

He is a sensitive, attentive young man who always promptly responded to my requests and could keep up the conversation about absolutely everything in the world. The hotel grounds are bright, spacious and clean. The interior and general style of the hotel is pleasing to the eye, and the arrangement of the territory is very comfortable. You can immediately see the owners very strictly and carefully approached the planning of the hotel's infrastructure. Of course, the most admired, of course, was the sea - it is warm, clean and, most interesting, every day delighted us with different tints of blue and blue hues. The entrance to the sea is excellent, smooth and gentle, at first a little pebble, and then a pleasant, moderately dense sand.
The pools at the hotel are also good here: one main, jacuzzi and one for children. And next to it there are sun loungers where we took sunbaths. We were more than satisfied with the room. We had a spacious double room, on the first floor, next to the reception. At first it seemed to us that it would be noisy, but in the end it was our room that turned out to be the quietest place in the hotel) Good furniture, soft beds, refrigerator, hairdryer, TV, safe, air conditioning, high-quality plumbing - it was all there. I would like to note that air conditioning is available here for an additional fee (6 euros per day), but we did not take it, since our room was always well ventilated with a light sea breeze.
In principle, the hotel itself maintains an atmosphere of calm and unhurriedness. There was never a flea market or queues in the restaurant, there was always enough food for everyone. We ate according to the all inclusive system and this was more than enough for us. They always served meat, poultry, fish, various side dishes, vegetables, salads, fruits, desserts and so on. According to the all inclusive system at the bar, you can take soft drinks, beer, wine, ouzo (Greek vodka), cognac, white rum, gin and tonic. If you want something branded, they have it. For example, we really liked the locally produced rosé wine Solomos. Since we arrived only for a week, and in our stuffy and gray metropolis we did not have enough sea, my sister and I decided to go on an Ikaros cruise. As part of this cruise, we managed to swim in the most famous place on the island of Zakynthos - Navagio Bay! We also swam in the Blue Caves in the north of the island. This stop was my sister's favorite, as she loves to dive from the ship, and it was there that we had a swim stop in the open sea. And then we went to the natural spa of the island - Xigia beach. The water there, of course, is colder, hydrogen sulfide springs gush straight from the bottom, but at the same time they are useful, and for the sake of a chance to swim in them, you can be patient) And after we all swam like fish, we were still waiting for dinner right on board the ship. We were completely satisfied with our vacation on the island of Zakynthos, and we plan to visit here again. A small strip of alluvial stones. A very long time. The hotel is quiet. There is no animation. A couple of Greek dancers perform once a week. Smoking is allowed throughout the hotel, except for the restaurant. It is difficult for non-smokers as the area is very small.
The rooms are large, after renovation. The safe in the room is free. But the rooms on the ground floor 112-115 smell of sewage in the rooms and near these rooms on the street. And get ready with an endless fight against mosquitoes on all floors. Air conditioning 7 euros per day, internet 5 euros and very weak. Service is terrible!! ! There are no foot towels. The foot mat is changed only if it is very dirty. Towels for face and body were not changed for 6 days. And when the guide Ksenia turned to Konstantin with a request to solve this problem, he did not do anything. We have never seen anything like this anywhere.
In a restaurant, you will have to clean up your dirty dishes yourself. Mugs but no saucers for breakfast only. The rest of the time only plastic glasses. The food is very modest. Even the standard breakfast set in a stripped-down version. There are almost no fruits. Sliced apples and oranges for lunch and watermelon for dinner. Water will also have to be bought, it is specific at the hotel. Thanks only to the owner of the hotel for her friendliness

While we were resting, we managed to travel all over the island and ended up on the next one. We took excursions, went to the beach of Novgaio Bay, and to the turtles and to the neighboring island of Kefalonia. The tours are very well organized. By the way, their representative, we had Irina, is always at the hotel both in the morning and in the evening, always helps to resolve issues, very convenient. We were satisfied with our vacation, Greece is beautiful! Zakynthos is amazing! We read a lot of reviews and decided that this hotel is suitable for us, as we needed a relaxing holiday in a cozy small hotel. And so it happened. At the reception we were greeted by a very nice lady and the owner of the hotel. Very hospitable! Everything was as described, no surprises. The rooms are not big and simple, but clean and everything works. The hotel itself is very small - one building, swimming pool and beach. But what else do you need for a good holiday? ! )
The beach is very good, the hotel is on the first line, there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. The beach is sandy with small pebbles. But when entering the sea - a strip with large pebbles, this is certainly not a big minus, but it's not scary, because the path of the plates is neatly laid out in the sea and it is very comfortable to go along it.
Food - we all really liked it, the choice is not large, but everything is very tasty, you definitely won’t stay hungry). A lot of vegetables, a couple of types of side dishes, for lunch and dinner there was always meat and fruit. Everything is fresh. For breakfast there were only eggs and sometimes pancakes, of course I would like to add something else.
In general, the week by the sea was a success. I recommend this hotel for families!

During the holidays, there were young couples who needed discos, noisy parties, in general, youth recreation, you will not find this in Alykes! We were more than satisfied, so we are absolutely satisfied with the rest.
We had a check-in immediately, as soon as we arrived, the owner himself met Kostas, always friendly, always helping! The room was on the second floor overlooking the pool and with a side sea view, there is no extra noise, because, again, I repeat, there are no discos, the bar in the restaurant is open until 11 pm and people are relaxing. There is a double bed in the room, air conditioning for an extra charge (we didn’t need it, because it was still cool in the evening. Safes in the room are free, although at first they couldn’t figure out how to set the code, but they asked for a separate guide, and soon Kostas came up to us and helped with As for the food in the restaurant, the choice is small, but everything is very homely and delicious, there has never been such a dish that we did not like the dish! And in the evening having a glass of wine on the terrace by the sea is the most magnificent!
For a quiet, relaxed holiday, the hotel is definitely suitable, it is also located near the center of the village, you can walk to the village of Katastari on foot. In addition to walking, we diversified our vacation with excursions! We took excursions from a tour operator, because for me quality and reliability are above all! Be sure to go on a sightseeing tour by bus! Excellent guide, informative tour, not tiring and at the same time make an impression of the island! And, of course, Navagio Bay, there are simply no words! We took another cruise to swim into the bay, and not to look from a height! And they took an excursion to the Peloponnese to Kalavryta, since I can't help but admire the Greek temples! For me, it is always something amazing, especially the church of St. Andrew the First-Called!
As a result, we left almost with tears in our eyes, we will visit the island of Zakynthos again for sure ! !

Believe me, this is the best practice when talking to a person who simply cannot understand you in any other way than in English. We stayed in a room with a sea view. You can even see the neighboring island of Kefalonia. Very beautiful. We went there once for 10 days of rest. In principle, in Greece, all the islands are beautiful. But I liked Zakynthos the most. Bought an excursion-cruise to Navagio Bay. There were a lot of weddings at that time. Everyone is photographed. Indeed, the views there are unique. As for our hotel, the beach is right next to the pool. You don't have to go far. The sea is clean. The sand is good. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free. There were few people, so there was no need to stand in line for a sunbed. Another big plus is the large balcony. Not only is the sea visible, but there is also a table with chairs. Fresh sea air is what I wanted most of all. In fact, the hotel is the most ordinary. I liked that they cleaned well, the staff was polite, the food was delicious. Of course, there is not a lot of entertainment and other things, but the hotel positions itself this way: for a family vacation. I think there will be something for calm families to do here.
