Cruise “Evening Toroneos”
Hello everyone! I want to share my impressions of the cruise "Evening Toroneos", which I visited the other day. At about half past five in the evening, a comfortable bus with air conditioning, driver Maxim and accompanying Yana, took the guests from the hotel. And we, observing beautiful sea views, headed to the southernmost point of the Kassandra peninsula - Khruso Bay, where our pirate one-deck wooden ship was waiting. By the way, the beach of the Hrusso hotel is a very convenient entry for children, which I took note of for friends with small children. About fifteen people gathered, which was a pleasant fact, since everyone was able to freely accommodate on the ship and also move freely on it. The first stop was in the town of Neos Marmaras, where we had about an hour and a half of free time. Those who wished could dine in the taverns that were located right on the waterfront, or just take a walk through the streets, look into souvenir shops, find landscapes like in Santorini, choose from a large selection of ice cream and try a special local delicacy - natural ice cream and delicious yogurt with different flavors and sprinkles to choose from, which I tried on the advice of our attendant. The next stop was the wonderful island of Kelifos. This is a rocky island in the middle of the sea, which is a nature reserve, it is uninhabited (except for wild goats, gulls, shrubs, pines and olives), and nothing can be built on it, so we could observe it from the sea in all the beauty of natural primevalness. The schooner dropped anchor for evening swimming and sunset viewing. It was so delightful to meet the sunset on the open sea, near a desert island, it was simply indescribable. When the ship began to move again, we were accompanied by seagulls, which we fed with pleasure. But there was also a nice cruise bonus - a special treat from the captain and crew of the ship - a glass of white wine for adults, and juice for children, fruit (watermelon) and nuts. Mats were laid in the center of the ship, on which one could comfortably sit or even lie down, and there were also cabins on the ship where you can change clothes, technical rooms, a bar where you can buy soft drinks. During the cruise, we saw the beauty of the protected area - the pine forests of the Sithonia peninsula. We also learned about the Porto Carras hotel complex, where there are horse rides and a helipad, its own vineyard, but at the same time, vacation prices can be quite affordable. It was also interesting to see a building on a hill, isolated from the rest of the world, and distinguished by its appearance and architecture - it turned out to be a villa, which Salvador Dali himself had a hand in designing. I was delighted with this fact. After sunset, around the beginning of ten, we went back to Khruso Bay, where a bus was waiting for us, in which I began to digest the impressions of what I saw and experienced.
