The second time in Greece and again were completely delighted! )). Literally at first sight fell in love with this wonderful country! My husband and I have traveled a lot in Europe, but nowhere have we met such hospitable, open and smiling people as here.
We decided to start our acquaintance with Greece from the largest island - Crete. We rested in a place called Retemno. The city of extraordinary beauty, which is called the "second Venice" and indeed there is some similarity. Narrow cobbled streets, countless cafes and taverns with amazing Greek coffee, seafood and good service.
This year the choice fell on the island of Rhodes. Of course, it is much smaller than Crete, but no less beautiful for that. We rested there in the period from 19.05 to 02.06. 13. We decided to go absolutely spontaneously. A week before departure, my husband and I went to a travel agency and found out that the tour operator “Mouzenidis travel” has excellent specials. proposals in the direction we are interested in.

We needed a small quiet hotel on "all inclusive", with good infrastructure and not far from the city of Rhodes. As a result, we stopped at the Virginia Family Siutes hotel as we decided to take the children with us. We paid for the ticket and breathlessly began to wait for the start of the journey.
And then the day "X" has come. ) In a great mood, we went to the airport. Our flight was delayed for three whole hours, so we arrived in Greece late at night. We must pay tribute to the "yellow T-shirts") - the company's employees were greeted like relatives. ) Expensive from the airport to the hotel took only 30 minutes. The children were exhausted for the whole day, so they slept all the way. Upon arrival, an employee of the company escorted us to the reception, where we were met by a very nice uncle named Stavros. He put on bracelets for us, gave us the keys to the room, information about the hotel in Russian and explained how to get to the right building. The hotel was immediately pleased with its appearance.
We settled in a new building on the second floor overlooking the main pool. The room was even better than the picture. ) Evaluate the possession was only the next day in the morning as very tired. The territory turned out to be quite large, several buildings of 2 and 3 floors form a closed area inside which there are pools and lawns, everything is very aesthetically pleasing and beautifully decorated. In the restaurant, we liked to sit on the open veranda, but sometimes it was cool in the evenings, so we moved inside. The food is delicious, it feels like everything is cooked with soul. ) I want to note that the staff is very good-natured and friendly, they always helped us with every request. We even tried to leave tips, but, believe me, they remained lying in their places, probably this is not accepted here. There was no children's animation in the hotel, but we were not very upset about this, the children found something to do with themselves.
Next to our building there were two playgrounds with swings, a trampoline and a real pirate ship, plus a table tennis table and billiards (for a fee). Generally had fun to the fullest. ) To communicate with the outside world, they connected wi-fi at the reception for a week - it costs 20 euros. The sea turned out to be only 150m from the hotel, you had to go down from a small hill and you are already on the beach. So, as a city beach, sunbeds were paid (7 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella), but most vacationers carelessly lay on their towels and did not bother. The water is the purest, it was not like this even in Crete, although in May it is still cool, but this unpleasant feeling disappears just a few minutes after you swim. A pleasant chill and slight tingling remain on the body. On the right on the beach there are small stones, but there are not many of them, mostly sand, the entrance is good, even, without sudden changes in depth.

We arrived for two weeks, so we decided to shine the first part of the holiday on the sea and the sun. From the second week there was a desire to get to know the island better and go on excursions. They decided not to take the car, because in Crete they were completely shocked by how the Greeks drive. There was a feeling that the rights are simply given to them for their birthday or they win them in an instant lottery. ) Generally seen enough, enough. Our guide described in detail and so colorfully and “tasty” the proposed excursions that we wanted to go for everything. ) As a result, we chose 2 surveys along the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts and 2 boat trips, one to the island of sponges and shrimp Symi, the second to the bays on a catamaran. I must say right away that all the excursions are worthwhile and we really liked it, capaciously, compactly, interestingly and simply unforgettable. The children were completely delighted with Lindos with its donkeys, peacocks and the 18-meter cross on Fileremos and the tunnel at 7 springs.
We have never regretted the money spent, by the way, the prices pleasantly surprised us. Guides and drivers worked just for five plus. ) Therefore, I want to express my deep gratitude to the hotel staff, our hotel guide Xenia, the guys who met and saw us off at the airport and to everyone who helped us to be happy and carefree during our amazing vacation on the beautiful island of Rhodes!! !
