We had a limited budget, the main requirements we had were cleanliness, hot water and air conditioning, good sea and decent food. Therefore, the appearance of the hotel did not kill us on the spot. The hotel itself consists of residential buildings, where all the servants and smart tourists live and two swimming pools. there is no reception, no canteen (as I understand it, they were in a building where even the windows are now half taken out). I’ll make a reservation right away: you can relax in Montemar ONLY if you can use the infrastructure of the neighboring Costa Lindia hotel, which is located across the road from Montemar. So the review will actually be about two hotels a little at a time.
I'll start with placement. We arrived after lunch and were seated immediately. We were given a room, as we understood it, a family with a sea view (although we ordered a superior without a view). for which big merci. two-room suite, one of the rooms is walk-through and without windows. the bathroom is ugly, a toilet bowl, next to it behind a curtain such as a shower and a washbasin. but everything worked, it was clean, there was always hot water, the water flow was in order. there was never a swamp on the floor. the conder worked properly, the microscopic refrigerator worked too. But since we were not going to sit in the room at all (only to spend the night in order), nothing bothered us. The beds are normal, rattan furniture, clean. Quiet at night, no one bawled songs, Mouzon did not turn on. Yes, there are mosquitoes, you need to take a fumigator. Ants were not seen in the room, once a cockroach came in 3 centimeters in length. I screamed! probably strongly, because the living creatures did not look into the room anymore.
Cleaning was quite normal. Cleaned every day, bedding and towels changed every other day, maximum two. Linen is clean, no holes. I must say right away: the beds were not moved, they were not looking for dust. all they did was wash the conder grates on their own. He began to work quieter and cool better. The big minus is sound transmission. You can hear EVERYTHING from neighboring rooms! True, there are few guests, I already wrote, mostly service staff, who are always at work.

Nutrition. Upon arrival, we were told that we were eating at the main Costa Lindia restaurant. in a la carte access is forbidden to us. Well, okay, let's do it. Everything was delicious and varied, every day you could find something new, meat and fish were always present. Chefs respect and respect. A big plus: whenever you come, there is always food, you won't go hungry. Minus: the waiters did not always cope with cleaning dishes and preparing tables. and yet - instead of normal juices there was yupi, and coffee could be made natural. but these are trifles, the overall positive impression is not spoiled.
Bars. There are five of them. At the reception paid with imported drinks, the main round under the restaurant, between two pools with a positive always dancing bartender, near the beach, open from 18.00 and a beach bar until 18.00. The quality of drinks, both carbonated and alcoholic, as for a European power, leaves much to be desired, to put it mildly. In my opinion, it was possible to drink only water, beer and wine. My husband still used ouzo, since it is unrealistic to unbosom him. Cognac, whiskey, gin, tequila were 20 degrees maximum.
Contingent. Mostly Russians and Germans. There were no violent ones, peace and quiet.
Animation. In the evening for children, dances and dances 10 years ago. every day the same thing, but the kids like it. already good. After the children's dances, they arranged something like "hello, we are looking for talents", the kids sang and danced, recited poems. There is an animator - a Russian girl Zhanna, and the main children's ringleader Olga understands something in Russian. In the mornings there was also yoga for adults, volleyball on the beach and some games. It's okay, they try.
Beach. Large, sunbeds, umbrellas for free, there are always empty seats. Colorful blacks constantly clean up garbage, bury holes, arrange sunbeds. the beach itself is sandy, and the entry into the sea is large pebbles. very uncomfortable without shoes. we had to buy special shoes for this. The sea has always been different. sometimes waves, sometimes quiet, sometimes cold, sometimes quite comfortable. but we did not find the temperature of the water "like fresh milk". There are few living creatures in the sea, only a few species of fish were seen.

Excursions. Dears, 50-60 euros per person. We rented a car from the nearby Lindos Princess Hotel for 100 euros for 4 days. for 3 days we completely traveled the entire island, on the 4th we rushed to the water park. Impressions from nature - super! Very impressed by the kiss of the two seas. It seems to be nothing unusual, but there is some kind of unusual positive energy, I didn’t want to leave there. Were in castles on the Aegean coast, in Monolithos and Kastellos. Impressive! In Rhodes, in the old town, there are solid shops, and antiquities are somehow lost behind them. Lindos was very impressed. Unusual beauty!! ! And the temples are very beautiful! Although the island is small, there is something to see !! ! Have a good rest everyone!
