We rested in this hotel from 10/10/15 to 10/18/15 with two children 5 and 4 years old.
A little background
Like many Russians, we tried to find something cheaper for vacation. Hotels in Turkey and Egypt, which we visited before, this year we can not afford. It was impossible to find more budget options for families with children. In general, we decided that this October will not be brightened up for our family by the sea and the sun.

I don’t know what came over me, I decided to look at the cost of Spain on the Sanmar website - well, it’s very expensive, Greece - at first I thought that I had confused something, I had set the wrong parameters. 5-star Mitsis is cheaper than 3 stars. Not just cheaper, but for our family the cost of the tour is suitable. Maybe the hotel is not very good? No, the reviews are good. I began to study in more detail, and then there is an action, and even the children get a visa for free (a trifle, but nice), my husband and I already have visas, and we have not been to this country yet. After a short comparison of flights, days and nights, location, reviews and, of course, cost, we settled on Mitsis Rhodes Maris. They were very satisfied.
We arrived at the hotel around 8 pm, it was dark. Settled right away. Room on the ground floor, separated by a partition with a door, a very convenient option for a family. Everything is clean, tidy, everything works. My daughter was delighted with the floral decoration of the interior. Instead of a balcony, a small terrace-lawn without partitions between neighboring rooms, something like that. Some bungalows have access to a large lawn, some have bushes. There was one annoying moment in the room for me - this was the lack of a device for drying towels-swimsuits, so they hung them on chairs and bushes. Apparently, people who already knew this stretched the ropes between the trees, which gave a certain rustic "zest" to a neat, well-groomed territory.
Were cleaned well and on time, without a tip. The mini bar was replenished every other day. Next to our room was a miracle room - a pantry where linen, towels and boxes of drinks for mini bars are stored. Husband sometimes asked for extra soda, never refused. In the mornings, while I completed the backpack for the beach, the children were running around on the street. Of course, they were always interested in this wonderful room. The kids learned that if you hang out a little at the door, smile, then you won’t leave empty-handed))). The son learned the word "calimera" (good morning) and he already approached the pantry with the words "calimera, give me Coca-Cola. "

About food. Enough fruit, very tasty desserts, hearty breakfasts. I want to mention the chef who cooked the scrambled eggs. There was practically no queue for him. You collect the ingredients for the omelette yourself, which significantly reduces the time: until everyone explains what he would like to see in the omelet, while the chef collects all this, and then once, and serve a plate of ham-greens-tomatoes, and you don’t need to explain anything. I have never been to dinner, I don’t know what was there, my husband went a couple of times, from his words, nothing particularly outstanding, i. e. quite normal))))). My children and I ate pizza on the beach, you can eat it, it’s suitable to kill a worm when it’s too lazy to change clothes and go to a restaurant. For dinner, you could always pick up something tasty - either fish, or lamb, or pork, or chicken. I emphasize - either-or, so that everything is delicious - well, it didn’t work out))))
Another tiny annoying point is the lack of extra napkins on the tables. Of course, when they cover, they put one napkin per person, but this is often not enough. You can ask the waiter, you can go for them yourself... It’s more convenient and pleasant when the napkins are already on the table, because there are salt and pepper shakers))))
As for the queues in the restaurant. It’s better to stand for 2-3 minutes, and they will bring you to a ready-made clean table than to squeeze between the tables in search of a free one, and then wait for it to be cleaned. Or the opposite situation, when those looking for a table look into your plate, trying to determine the degree of readiness to leave the restaurant, and you bam... and dessert brought... A sigh of despair of the seekers and a feeling of guilt that didn’t free the table... So it’s better to fray a little in line, you can do something something interesting to learn from other vacationers. And if you arrive early or, conversely, closer to the end, then there are no queues at all.
We visited an Italian restaurant. On the menu, it differs from the main one in the presence of pizza, better than on the beach, and two types of pasta. Buffet. Well, it’s more pleasant, of course, to sit in a more relaxed atmosphere than in general.
I did not like anything in Chinese, my husband liked the pork ribs.
Everything about Greek is delicious! They crawled out of there in koloboks. It was not possible to re-enroll, a fairly popular institution.
It was difficult to feed the children. They are omnivorous, but they do not like seasonings, and all dishes are sprinkled with herbs. And, of course, they gorged themselves on ice cream)))), very decent.

Now about the kids club. There were no Russian-speaking animators during our trip. I don’t know how my daughter understood them, but she constantly asked to go there. Something was drawn there, glued. Mini disco is a standard set of songs that seems to have been tested for decades. The kids love it, that's good. Mickey Mouse invited and collected children to the disco. It was very unpleasant to watch Europeans smoking during a children's disco and it was in the forefront. The smoke may not have reached the dancing children, but there are a lot of kids around in the arms of their parents, and just people who don’t smoke. Several times I turned to such people with a request to step aside, by indignation and waving my arms, I understood that they were not in the room and had the right to smoke here... Okay, this has nothing to do with the hotel. I want to note that Russian-speaking people smoked on the sidelines, and generally behaved quietly. At first I thought that there were very few of us in this hotel.
We did not live to see the evening show, so I cannot express my opinion. Daily animation, as elsewhere - bocha, volleyball, gymnastics, etc.
The beach is good, there were always enough sunbeds, even taking into account the busy just in case. Dirt in the form of cigarette butts and plastic cups. Not zasr . . but, of course, but it's unpleasant when children dig up gobies. Again, this is not so much a problem of the hotel as of society in general))). The beach is sand and pebbles near the surf line. For large people, it can be unpleasant. The husband used special slippers to get to the water.
In general, the sea is wonderful. Very clean. The water, of course, is no longer hot, but it’s quite enough to swim, probably 25 degrees. Autumn, anyway
Well, the last annoying moment, which does not affect anything, I just want to speak out. It's a deposit of 20 euros for a beach towel. It is clear that these euros will not go anywhere, well then you need to enter a deposit for towels in the room (they are prettier), a bathrobe and slippers, and bed linen...
Let's summarize. As always, we had a great vacation. Very nice cozy hotel with friendly staff. And the realization that for 8 nights we paid 80.000 rubles. for a hotel of a good standard, enhances the effect of a great holiday!! !
