I wish good luck to everyone who goes to this hotel, it will be very needed. We were lucky, so we had a good impression of the rest. But many people left this hotel upset by a bad vacation.

The most important advantage of the hotel is its location (almost on the beach). You can go straight to the beach in swimsuits and back to the hotel at least 10 times a day. Beach and sea: the shore is made of pebbles with sand, the sea is wonderful, warm, there are no waves at all even with a strong wind, the water is clear, it is very good to swim with children. But if possible, take slippers for swimming - it will be more convenient, although it is quite possible to do without them.

The hotel itself has changed dramatically since 2013. This year the hotel entered the MED BLUE hotel system. The hotel has undergone a major overhaul, rebuilt the territory and installed new furniture. Animation has appeared. And now the hotel is offered as 4 stars (only two months it works).

MINUSES:

1) the hotel manager, apparently. left the old mistress, a woman of very advanced age and no longer quite clear mind with old habits. He is trying to save on everything and therefore staying in a hotel resembles Soviet hotels and sanatoriums in the worst traditions, that is, there is no exact order and you never know where there may be a minor or major trouble. During the day, there is no light in the toilet near the pool at all (gentlemen having a rest, do not be shy, do everything in daylight with open doors). Soap and paper, yes, no. Alcohol and drinks are considered not limited, because k ALL INCLUSIVE, but sometimes she finds something on the old woman and she starts swearing and trying to limit vacationers (but not everyone who is not lucky).
2) The renovation in the rooms is quite beautiful, chic ceiling and balcony. The furniture, although new, is made strangely (as if some of the materials were stolen): the closet has no doors, shelves and drawers at all, the cat cried.
The children's bed is reinforced so that a herd of elephants can dance on it, and an adult holds a mattress with 6 screws and fiberboard is so loose and fragile that our bed broke 2 times in 14 days (although we did not jump on it and were generally afraid to turn around again ). Friends had a sewerage leak from the ceiling for several days, our sink was leaking for several days and there was a huge puddle on the floor for half a toilet (they repaired it only for 4 days).
3) Food is also with its own peculiarities and oddities. The choice of dishes is not very large, but you can always find something suitable. Breakfast: fried bacon, 3 types of scrambled eggs and scrambled eggs, champignons, tomatoes, beans, Greek yogurt (super), buns or croissants (sometimes very tasty, and sometimes disgustingly raw), jam. There is no kasha.
Lunch and dinner are similar: always two types of meat, 1 type of fish (sometimes for some reason bitter, sometimes with scales, sometimes very tasty in batter or baked carcass), Greek salad (super), dolma (not meat), pasta, rice, potatoes in different types, sometimes baked sweet peppers, eggplant and zucchini (very tasty). Salads of greens and pasta. Do not be afraid to take salads, they do not always look appetizing, but all are edible and tasty enough. From fruits every day, local delicious watermelons, oranges, sometimes melon and peaches (the first days were shriveled and rotten, then delicious juicy and sweet). There are no soups.

In general, it seems that they buy in batches and cook something, especially without straining to draw up a balanced and thoughtful menu: for the beginning of 5 days there were only lamb and pork, then the lamb disappeared and for several days in a row there were only chicken and pork, then the chicken disappeared and they fed turkey for several days (delicious), and the last days of our stay were only rabbit (I don’t like rabbit, but they cooked it very tasty there) and pork.
4) A strange girl at the reception who constantly puts two people in a 3-bed room, and families of three in a double room, and then she is very unhappy that they make claims against her. And do not try to give her the key to the room when you go around the island or on an excursion - she may well settle other people in your room, then you will prove your rights to her for a long time (it really happened with us)
5) WI-FI paid 2 euros for half an hour

PROS:
1) There are no complaints about the rest of the staff: the waiters are trying, the bartenders are friendly, the rooms are cleaned quite cleanly.
2) Huge plus -animations. Two girls, Lucy and Sisi, entertain both children and adults from morning to evening: darts, stretching, water gymnastics, water polo, in the evening they paint masks on their faces for children, make figures from balloons, a children's disco. Many thanks to the animators! ! ! GOOD GUYS! ! ! Cheerful, friendly, sociable, intelligent, always friendly, always ready to help or cheer. Everyone will be approached, greeted, talked to. In some hotels in Turkey, entire animation teams work 100 times worse than these two fragile girls.

Once there was a power outage for several hours, on another day there was no water for 4 hours. But this is not really the problem of the hotel, it was like that in the whole district.

The staff hardly speaks Russian.
but they are trying to understand you, and the school English course is quite enough to explain.

Among vacationers, about 40% are Poles, 30% Russians, 30% from the Baltic states.

There is a small village near the hotel, you can walk there in the evening. There is a small supermarket that sells almost everything tourists need.

There is a pharmacy. But be prepared for the fact that almost all the medicines that we are used to in the territory of the former USSR in Greece are sold only by prescription, even iodine is a big problem to buy, only hydrogen peroxide will be sold. Better grab a first aid kit from home. Or go to the local doctor next to the pharmacy (they say it's free).
If finances allow, take a sightseeing tour of the island of Rhodes or a car and travel around the island yourself. It is interesting.
Summing up, I can say that the hotel is developing, slowly improving and improving, the owners of the MED BLUE chain are investing money and efforts in it. In a year or two, he may well become a good four. And if you are not afraid of minor inconveniences, and the price of the ticket is low, you may well go to rest in Med Blue Gennadi now. Our family was satisfied with the rest and the hotel, we did not want to leave. But the second time in this hotel is unlikely to go.
