Room 445.4th floor, view of the courtyard and a bit of the city. The room has two lorries pushed together, a TV (1 channel in Russian), a mini-fridge, a rather large dressing table with drawers, a closet at the entrance. It seems that they have recently done repairs - everything looks clean and new. change linen and towels daily, except Sunday (no tip).
The pool is quite large and deep, only on one side a smaller one and a half meters, not for kids in general.
They took breakfasts and dinners, they cook deliciously and efficiently (although once a spoiled tomato was caught in a salad), but there was a very small selection, there was variety only for dinner, but breakfasts for ten days were simply, to put it mildly, tired...
Wi-Fi in the lobby is free (I took it in the dining room), the signal is weak, but enough to chat.
The beach is nearby, you just need to cross a three-lane highway, which is not a problem at any time, besides, there is a manual traffic light, but we did not use it.
The beach itself is dirty, there are flimsy changing cabins and several taps with hoses for rinsing. The entrance to the sea is small pebbles, then meters through a three-stone plateau, shallow, but it is difficult to walk on it, meters through a 15-deep opening, behind which there is a sand spit -relatively shallow (about 1.20) and very comfortable to walk. On the Aegean (western) coast, which can be reached on foot in about an hour, the beaches are better, but there is a constant rather strong surf.
In general, the hotel is not bad, but more suitable for those who will use it as a place to sleep and siesta.
We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 and were seated immediately. They don't speak Russian at the reception. Gave a triple with a side sea view instead of a paid double without a specific view. Received 2 key cards without requests from our side, an inferior map of the city.
There was a refrigerator in the room (it was so cold that mom don't cry! ), a TV (there are no Russian-language channels), an air conditioner by the hour, a hairdryer, a bathtub, 2 large wardrobes. 3 bars of soap, liquid soap on the bottom, 4 towels + one instead of a rug in the bathroom. The girls they met complained about the lack of towels and the strong wind on the balcony.
A large balcony, no dryer, I knew about it, so I took clothespins with me, dried everything on chairs. One morning (at 6.30) there was no hot water.
Cleaning daily except Sunday, they didn't bother and we didn't bother.
Safe at reception. 2 euros per day. Take a week - get a discount. Wi-Fi in the lobby, there are many who want it - the speed is bad.
Swimming pool: someone takes a sunbed at 8 am, we went at 3 o'clock, there were always free places. The far part from the entrance is a "paddling pool", then the depth reaches 3.1 m. . k the fence is a chain-link mesh).
They only took breakfast. You won't leave hungry. Eggs in different forms, vegetables, pastries, few fruits, tea / coffee / juice from the machine. Porridge is sometimes very sugary. There are always places, they clean up quickly. Dishes are clean. There are child seats. Friends went to dinner, praised.
There is a market near the hotel on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Vegetables, fruits, honey, household items. I recommend.
The main disadvantage of this hotel is its location. I do not recommend to go here with children. And adults, horseless, like us, need to get ready for long walks. There is no animation, but we did not need it. We prefer to entertain ourselves.
Bad beach (across the road from the hotel), dirty, a lot of cigarette butts, garbage is not removed. On our last day, my husband saw a dead cat, she lay there until the evening. Only 2 changing cabins, a kind of shower, old umbrellas and sunbeds. 4 euros for an umbrella and a sunbed are regularly collected. It is possible and on the towels, do not drive. In the room we saw various insects: a centipede, a large cockroach in the bathroom and mosquitoes.
We had a good rest, we didn’t get hung up on the minuses, we only spent the night in the hotel and changed clothes. We went on excursions, and on the island of Symi on our own. They tried to be bee people, not flies: they were looking for a garden, not a city...
I wish you all a pleasant holiday.
And so: a 3-star hotel, do not expect that for the money you pay for this level of hotel, you will be provided with a luxury service) quite a normal hotel, spacious rooms, no extra charge, but at our request we got a room on the 3rd floor with pool and sea views. Cleaning was normal, it was not dirty, towels were changed every day, air conditioning worked on time, as it was stated. The food is normal, we took only breakfasts, monotonous, but everything is edible, you can eat : ) There is a pool, not huge, but since no one swam in it, there is enough space for lovers) The beach is a minute from the hotel, across the road. The beach is huge, there are few people there, no one is lying on each other's heads! ! ! it was very important to us! The beach is dirty, it was annoying, but it didn’t interfere) the sea is clean, for 7 days of rest there was no storm, no waves, no jellyfish, a complete buzz! ! I couldn't bring myself to get out of the water.
From the early morning on the beach, mostly local Greeks, mostly elderly, but very funny and active, they did not sunbathe, they came just to swim. I was interested in watching them, very positive people. The beach is not panoramic, that is, I didn’t want to take pictures there, but it’s quite comfortable for relaxation. To take beautiful photos, to see the most beautiful bays, I highly recommend a sea excursion. It is sold both in the hotel and in the city, mainly on the embankment in the port of Mandraki. We bought this kind of excursion at the reception for 39 euros / person, a full day excursion, from 9 am to 18.00, in the cost of a transfer to the port and back, as well as lunch on board : ) a whole day of relaxation, dozens of beautiful photos and a million positive emotions : )
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Old Town, although the first three days we went around like suckers for 50 minutes) but the priests let us down, everything has its advantages) The fact that the Old Town is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel is a big plus of the hotel.
We went there twice a day for a walk, very beautiful, colorful, medieval walls surround the world of souvenir shops and many taverns. We liked the Greek cuisine very much, it is tasty, in moderation of spices, a lot of vegetables. Prices in taverns are moderate, but someone wrote that you can have dinner for 10 euros, this is certainly not true) Salad + hot dish + beer or wine is about 20 euros, delicious fish 15-20 euros per serving)
You definitely need to go to Lindos, it makes no sense to take an excursion, the bus goes there once an hour, 5 euros one way ticket. The view from the top of the Acropolis of Lindos is simply awesome, watch Mia Fomin's video "Everything will be fine" and you will understand everything yourself : ) There are a lot of donkeys in Lindos, white Greek houses and other colors. Everything is very beautiful, though climbing in the heat, even in June at least 38 degrees is a little hard, but believe me, all these efforts are worth it! ! Going to Greece to stay in a hotel is a big sin.
Of course, I recommend companies and families to rent a car, for example, a pretty Peugeot for 3 days costs 110 euros + gasoline, but you can drive around the island up and down, since the coastline of Rhodes is 250 km.
In general, it's time to turn around. My conclusion: the hotel has its pros and cons. For me, the downside is that the hotel does not have a territory, but around the entire medieval city of Rhodes, make it your territory, walk, explore, enjoy! If you are not "turned" on the status of the hotel, then Lomeniz 3* is for you : ) Have a good rest!
