Twice there were sushi, a rare muck: raw rice, winded nori sheets. They also gave something like dolma, only with minced fish, also disgusting. Potatoes are creepy both in appearance and in taste. Reminds me of Rolton puree. THE CHILDREN'S TABLE IS NOT AVAILABLE! What they call the kids' table is the daily fries and nuggets. I don’t allow my child to eat this in a peaceful life, but here there was simply no way out, she wasn’t hungry to go. In short, there was no pleasure in eating. The pool is one and quite small. From one edge with a depth of 1.15 from the other 3.6. My 10, height 134. She could swim only in a limited space (limited by buoys! ) About two meters wide and only in between water aerobics, water polo, water dancing and all that nonsense that takes place every 30 minutes.
There is another tiny pool with hydromassage - it is shallow and suitable for very young children, but the water was icy all the time, I don’t know why, and the children practically did not appear there. The animation is disgusting. Virtually non-existent for children. Why do I say practically, because in principle it was, but Where, When and most importantly How I did not find out. In any case, not a single animator, including those seen with children, has ever offered me and my child to participate, play, and so on. By the way, there is no animation in Russian. That is, there is some girl (the only one! ) Russian-speaking, and by the pool during the day they periodically clumsily invite you in Russian for aerobics or bocha, but in fact in Russian they won’t tell or explain anything else to you. Evening animation IN ALL LANGUAGES EXCEPT RUSSIAN, although Russian tourists in the hotel are about 1/3. Sadly. Wi-fi is. But only in the lobby (does not catch in the rooms !!!
), where it is always noisy and crowded, and for 3 euros per hour!! ! At home, I pay 490 rubles for a month of unlimited. Here 3 times on Skype and here it is - my monthly subscription fee. By the way, there is a children's play area with different machines, also for money. And for adults there is billiards and some other board game, also for money. In general, there is nothing to do there in the evenings - you will be offered to watch a children's play in English, or a lotto game, or some other dull activity. In short, everything that allows you to relax and unwind - delicious food, comfortable rest, interesting leisure (animation), this is not all in Irene Palace. Of the benefits: 1. The very fact of vacation2. A new place, a new country, a different culture is always interesting. As they say, a negative experience is also an experience. 3. The sea is pleasant : )
the room is very cozy, of course the walls are thin - but I slept like a log and did not hear anything. In general, almost always hotels have thin walls. so this is not a reason for negative reviews.
sun loungers on the beach are paid, which is true is true. this is a normal practice for Greek beaches where almost all of them are public. so if you haven’t been anywhere in Turkey, then I’m sorry)
the island is very green and beautiful. We did 3 tours in a week. I highly recommend "in search of Collos of Rhodes" - they were delighted. Well done girls guides, responsive and very pleasant.
animation is also in the hotel. but the Russians, as always, look at her puffed up, and then say that it was boring. but the Germans, Italians play and dance with pleasure.
A lot in this hotel for kids, there is a zoo, a playground, a swimming pool, of course, and some other club on the 2nd floor. while we were resting, a group of Hungarian children in the amount of almost 25 people came)
The territory is large and green, you can sit by the pool or under the trees in the evening. An alley of about 200 meters leads to the sea.
Of course, nothing spoils the rest like a large number of Russians who smoke and spit on the beach, poke bread with their dirty hands, take a watermelon with their hands and walk around the territory in swimsuits. Although my opinion is subjective and may not coincide with yours.
I'll be happy to answer your questions)
The rooms are standard with cardboard walls - the neighbors dedicated us to all the delights of their lives, incl. intimate. The maids spoke very loudly during cleaning, sang songs, vacuumed just when all normal people have "quiet time".
Food is completely unsuitable for children and those who lead a healthy lifestyle.
The staff is unfriendly EXACTLY to the Russian people: they talk through gritted teeth, discuss among themselves in Greek, look with mockery...
The territory is large. Liked: a path to the beach, a cozy garden swing, a playground.
The beach is pebbly and small. Rescued slippers-protivozhovki. The sea is clean and warm.
The resort of Kolymbia is too calm and small, Faliraki is much more interesting.
I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Please choose any other. Living in Irene significantly spoiled the impression of Greece.
The food at the hotel is decent, but very monotonous. For example, for breakfast they always give scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fried bacon or cereal with milk. -everyone imposes what he wants and, in general, no one limits the number, but wine, juice and water are given strictly by the glass in one hand by the waiters and you can’t, for example, take a bottle of water in the morning (they wanted to take a tour from the waiter) when they give juice, coffee or tea. Water relies only on lunch and dinner. There is a bar on the beach and in the hotel itself, and if a person has everything inclusive, then it is quite possible to order some alcoholic cocktails from the menu (not all that you can are highlighted in green in the menu), the rest is for an additional fee. They give fruit, in May we already ate strawberries, melons, watermelons.
The beach is clean, but keep in mind that deck chairs, umbrellas, rugs, towels, everything is provided for an additional fee. For example, each deck chair is 4 euros per day, a rug on it is 1 euro per day, a beach towel is 3 euros per week. Therefore, it is cheaper to buy a mat in the nearest store - there is a large choice of them and you can do without a paid deck chair. For swimming, it is advisable to buy aqua shoes - it will be much more comfortable to go into the water over the stones. It is more profitable to buy these slippers there, in Greece, in Moscow, we took them for 800 rubles, and there they cost 5-6 euros in total!
This hotel has a large number of Italian, German pensioners and very elderly people, so the programs of the animators are more designed for this contingent of vacationers - evenings of Greek folk music, unpretentious production numbers that you can watch while sipping a cocktail, chess tournaments and pong -pong.
