You know, I folded and for the 1st time I even tried to lift this tray, but I couldn't! I was resting, so to speak, (because I was constantly stressed because of this situation) I was in this hotel with the children! And it is clear that we used more than 1 plate! The Russian wife of the son of the owner of the hotel, to my indignation, said that she would fall from fatigue if she still cleaned up after us! On my suggestion to hire an employee who will clean the plates from the tables, as happens in any hotel in the world, she said no, this will not happen! And she answered that she would not clean up after us, let her husband, the owner's son, then clean up - this is her direct speech. Well let! I do not mind! If they are such greedy people and they never had such special personnel! Can you wash these dishes? Or wash the floors? Dears, this is not an apartment, this is a 3* hotel!
And on top of all this, already during the return transfer, I learn from fellow travelers about free air conditioning! At the reception they give out a remote control upon arrival for a deposit! But I found out about this only when I left. From this under-hotel, I was all bitten by mosquitoes, like my children! Someone might think that it was their revenge) But the epic with cleaning dishes began much later than our departure, the next day only! I took a fumigator with me, we slept with an open balcony, the fumigator saved the first night, then it didn’t; Apparently, the mosquitoes have adapted! Prices for drinks: water 2€, glass of wine 3€ and soft drinks in fanta cans, cola 3€! Everything else is 4-5€! And you can only pay in cash! The food is monotonous, not tasty! Inscriptions Unpleasant everywhere in Russian like - do not take bags with you to the dining room, leave them at the reception! I do not recommend this hotel only because of the rudeness of the owners!
The beach is equipped. There are showers and changing rooms, trash cans, a beach bar; sun loungers, umbrellas for an extra charge of 8 euros (per set). Clear sea and coast. We often went to the sea at half past seven in the morning and every time we saw that the beach was cleaned and cleaned.
For food: we took half board, but breakfast could have been enough. There are so many temptations (in terms of food) around that by the evening the appetite is interrupted by all kinds of daily snacks or dinners in local taverns.
Rooms: for their stars are very decent. The downside is that the system of surcharges and deposits for all kinds of services is a little annoying... such as, for example, a kettle is rented for an extra charge, a deposit for the remote control from the air conditioner and TV, etc. It seems like a little money, but it creates a certain discomfort. True, as a representative of our travel company told us, if you book a superior room, then these small expenses are already included in the cost of living (note for the future))
There is practically no territory. Only the pool in the patio and the restaurant. The hotel looks more like a city-type hotel. There is no animation either, all entertainment must be sought in Faliraki.
In general, I recommend it as a budget option for those who do not sit in a hotel and are used to outdoor activities, or for those who travel only for the sake of the sea - here it is excellent.
Our tour operator was Tui. They have well organized flights. But I will give the girl Alena the first place in my personal rating "the worst representative of the meeting party. " They looked with envy at the energetic representatives of other firms. Perhaps there is such an area that Alena knows well, but we did not manage to find it)). When, what time the tour is, and what happens there, she does not know (except for the text in the advertising booklet), when asked about the Faliraki area, she answers that she does not know this area. If you ask Alena a question, she, of course, is not silent, but what she says in response is not only far from what was asked, but also such, sorry, stupidity, which is downright scary)). With all this, she is always exceptionally busy. Upon departure, we found out that she had not been seen in other hotels either.
At the hotel, the owner Philip stirs up with numbers. In Moscow, you order a Standard room, it is the most expensive, Superior rooms are cheaper. On the spot, they first offer worse rooms, saying that they are Standard, and then they offer yours, ordered, but they call it Superior, and ask to pay another 100 euros for it. They paid when they found out that it was a hoax, they began to ask questions, Philip answered us that the agencies were not a decree for him, and he had his own rules, in short, they divorced.
The room is very nice, 3rd floor. Large balcony. Air conditioning and safe - extra. fee, as are the sun loungers on the beach. They didn’t take the safe, it worked out - they didn’t steal anything. They seem to be fine with it. Food is stressful. Compared to other Greek islands, it's hungry. I always thought that food is the last thing that worries me, I don’t eat much, but somehow it’s completely... For dinner, 4 main courses, and some kind of gravy on 2 trays. Vegetables and fruits, except for watermelon - after 2 days, and cucumbers, tomatoes, with herbs - no. Breakfast is a lot of cereal. By the end of the second week, they could no longer look at all this. They obviously save on food, but it seems that they are also a bad cook - because even “out of nothing” you can make delicious.
They wash the dishes very badly, they wiped the plates-forks with napkins - it's disgusting. Glasses are also brought from the bar, as if someone had just drunk from them.
Free WiFi in the restaurant. We did not particularly follow the cleaning, the bed was changed 2 times, towels 3 times.
We lived in a double room on the third floor. The room was clean and freshly refurbished. The room was cleaned every day, but not very carefully. Mostly guests from the Czech Republic - 80%, Poland, few Russians had a rest.
The hotel is located very conveniently, 10-15 minutes walk to the sea. There is a bus stop about 7-10 minutes away. Convenient for trips to Rhodes and Lindos. The center of Faliraki with its pubs, discos, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops is about 15-20 minutes on foot.
Meals at the hotel - half board in buffet form, freshly prepared food was delicious. For breakfast there were always boiled eggs, sausage, sometimes cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, muesli, honey, jam. From coffee drinks "unimportant" from the machine, tea. For dinner, there was always a choice of 2-3 meat dishes or fish. Garnish with rice, spaghetti, lasagna or potatoes, 2-3 salads, including Greek, tzatziki, dessert. There were dishes from Greek cuisine with eggplant, pita gyros. A special treat is Greek yogurt, for breakfast with honey, for dinner - as part of tzatziki! Dinner was always delicious.
There were practically no fruits, but we ourselves bought watermelons and peaches in small supermarkets on the way to the sea.
The hotel had a pool, but we preferred to go to the sea. The beach is beautiful, the sand, the sea is clean and warm. Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost 8 Euros, you could also sit on your own towel, there is plenty of space there. We were very pleased and will be happy to return to Rhodes and the Grecian Fantasia Resort again!
A good 3 * hotel, fully justifies its cost.
When you check in, be prepared to pay extra: air conditioning - 7 euros per day, safe in the room - 3 euros per day.
The room is good, spacious. TV, hairdryer, large closet. The curtain in the shower was not at all embarrassing, the floor was made with a slope, the water dries very quickly.
Meals - breakfast and dinner buffet. Everything is simple, quite tasty: for breakfast - muesli, eggs, bread, cheese, ham, vegetables. For dinner - more choice - 2-3 meat dishes, rice, spaghetti, vegetables, cheese, dessert. Drinks are included in the price for breakfast only, for dinner - for a fee. For those who do not eat lobsters and black caviar and who are not offered 3 types of omelet every morning at home, the food is quite satisfactory.
Minuses in the hotel: linen is changed only for 2 euro tips and cleaned poorly (cleaning consists of throwing out garbage).
The hotel is located very well - not far from the beach and 100m from the main street with disco clubs and restaurants. It will suit both lovers of nightlife (clubs nearby) and more calm ones (the hotel itself is quiet).
I recommend renting a car - there are a lot of places on the island where you should go. You can rent at the hotel, by the way it turns out cheaper than looking around the city.
Holidays in Rhodes are wonderful, if you do not plan to stay all day in a hotel, and spend most of the time (and money) traveling around the island and visiting antiquities, the Grecian Fantasia Resort is just what you need!
pluses of the hotel: good location (to the beach 10 minutes (the path is not annoying at all), to the busy central street about the same. But unlike other hotels located closer to the "party", the hotel itself is quiet, calm !!!
The food is not varied, but tasty. Since they only had breakfast there and occasionally dined in 2 weeks, I didn’t get bored.
there is free wi-fi.
At the hotel - car rental, prices are even 1 euro lower than in nearby rental offices. Just book cars in advance (this applies to all rental points), as cheap cars are immediately taken apart.
Cons: The room itself (6A on the second floor) is modest, I didn't like the bathroom. Instead of a bathtub, a shower with a curtain that doesn't reach the floor. All water is on the floor.
My sister and her husband (they arrived later) had room 9 on the 3rd floor. Heaven and earth compared to ours! Nice bathroom with bathtub! furniture, plumbing, air conditioning . . much newer, there is a kettle! Although the room rates were the same. So ask for the best room when you check in.
Linen and towels were not changed for 5 days until a tip was left. But when they began to leave 2 euros each, they changed every day.
If the maid comes in during the time and you are in the room, she leaves and does not return that day.
Air conditioning paid 7 euros per day (((
In the evening, all drinks are also paid (even plain water)!!!
you can only sit in your room with your food and drinks! Seeing how we drink juice on the common tables, which was not bought from them, they asked us to leave. It was unpleasant.
In general, the rest is magnificent, they took a car and traveled half the island.
our Faliraki beach for swimming is the best! sand, clear water, no waves - perfect. For wind (sky-) surfing (well, who likes to jump on the waves) you need to go to the Aegean Sea, there is a wind (still very beautiful azure water, but more salty, muddy and the sunset is pebbly everywhere)!
sunbeds on the sea everywhere paid 7 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.
