They brought us to the hotel in an E class Mercedes, because there was no one else at this hotel, quickly, in 5-10 minutes, about 9 hours. They attached bracelets to the reception and sent them to breakfast, breakfast from 7.00 to 10.00. Everything is very tasty, pancakes every morning and there are a lot of everything, you won’t try everything!! ! Then they returned to the reception, where they were very disappointed that the room would be given only at 14.00! The most annoying thing is that there is nowhere to change clothes in the hotel!! ! Only a toilet, there is no place where you can take a shower with towels, things cannot be decomposed, for this a big minus!! ! They offer paid luggage storage, but not every suitcase will fit into their cell. There is nowhere to even change clothes. You can go to the SPA, but if there is no one there for the procedures, but there is no place where even things can be laid out, the first time is like that !! ! . . We waited for 14 hours, gave the key, went to room 416, a freshly renovated room, everything is new, beautiful, the view from the balcony to the sea, everything was as ordered! We changed, washed, went to the beach, there were sunbeds, it’s bad that people from other hotels take them, without bracelets, so there’s not enough for everyone. . . The entrance to the sea is bad, without special shoes it is difficult. . . The sea is always restless, I no longer want to go to this shore. Dinner at 18.30, cooler than lunch again, it is impossible to try everything. . . Wine and other drinks throughout the day and ice cream, and different snacks, and pizza and sausages, and french fries. . . The air conditioner was immediately turned off, they were not used, the room was well located, it did not heat up, even though it was on the last floor. There is nowhere to go at all, there is nowhere to buy good oil either, you have to go, otherwise you can spend a maximum of a week. Slides for children, the pool is good, all day long animation is not for Russians. In general, not bad, but the last day of rest left the biggest disappointment and sediment: in the evening I asked to extend the room, because the county was in the evening at 19 o’clock, they wrote it down, they said to come in the morning, came up in the morning at 8.30, they said that it costs 40 euros, I gave the money, she dialed something for a long time, then she said to come at 10 that this number would be busy and they would give another one, she returned the money, came up at 10, was refused, and the Poles and French numbers were presented unapologetically, unpleasant. . . Why did you have to drive me for 2 days, we checked out at 12.00. . . But that was not all! We were booked into the spa at 17.30 to take a shower, there were three of us, me, husband and son. . . When we came to the SPA, there was a queue and we were told "sorry", massage and they don't know when it will be free, but it's impossible. . . The Poles who came in front of us were indignant and went to the reception and they were given the key to the bungalow without talking, but we were NOT!! ! They said to wait for the SPA, as it will be free. . . When it was free, it turned out that towels were not given there!! ! I again went to the reception, there is this CUTE aunt, she said no. . . then, after my indignation, she gave me a tiny towel for THREE!! ! Disgrace, I could not even imagine such a thing, in short, everything would be fine, if not a late check-out...

The territory of the hotel is compact, in addition to the main building there is a separate one near the sea, for 8-10 rooms. One general restaurant and two "alacarte". Pool bar, bar in the building and self-service bar-cafe.
There is one pool, two slides, a kids club with everything around, an open stage and several sports fields. There are not enough sunbeds by the pool, by the sea - it’s easier with them.
The sea has medium-sized pebbles, entry and exit without swimming shoes is difficult. For two weeks, only two days were calm and there was an opportunity to swim in clear water. Warm water. There is a kite center next door.
Food - I really liked it, usually several varieties of meat from rabbit to lamb, enough greens and fruits, local dishes, soups in the evenings. On Thursday there are several varieties of fish, on other days - one, but cooked in different ways.
Beer and three types of wine from 10 am to 11 pm on self-service. Not diluted, though not the highest grade.
Strong drinks (here they are diluted) and cocktails - in bars.
Ice cream is free.
The hotel staff is not intrusive, but they don't bother too much either. As it became clear, the hotel is designed primarily for French pensioners, and they are treated better than everyone else. Animators lit up well, but it's not always clear, because. they are not familiar with Russian. And this despite the fact that the main participants in competitions (especially for children) are Russians and Poles.
Disadvantages:
The first two days the air conditioning system did not work in the hotel. At all. It just hasn't been turned on since the winter.
Accordingly, the balcony was open and because. the first floor, then living creatures like harmless, but huge grasshoppers and habitual harmful mosquitoes periodically came in. Once a mouse was running around in the room, "pleasing" my wife. Mink staff the next day concreted and this "visit" was the last.
Friends once came across a stale piece of meat, but I tend to consider this an accident, because. for two weeks it was the only case.
You can also rent a car from Russian-speaking guides at the hotel and across the road in rental cars. The price tag will be lower, but slightly, 5-10 euros, or even at the same level. Gas stations are a kilometer to the right and a couple of kilometers to the left. Diesel - 1.3, gasoline - 1.7. It’s better not to go to Rhodes by car, parking is tight there. Very.
Buses run for 2.8 euros per adult. Schedule at the reception, buy tickets at the shop near the bus stop in front of the hotel.
The speed on the highway is 80 km / h, in settlements - 50. But many people drive faster. I saw the police only once, although in three days I traveled around the island twice and even rode inside the island. Often there are signs that speed video is being recorded, but the locals only add gas in these places. Perhaps these are signs that there MAY be a police car with a radar.
Roads are not ideal. There are bumps with traces of the bottoms of cars. In the villages - very narrow, up to the impossibility of passing two cars (especially if someone parked there with an emergency gang). Minorities inside the island can also be 4-5 meters, no more. There are a lot of serpentines, so it's better not to take frankly dead cars like Peugeot 208 (50 euros) with a 68-horsepower diesel engine. It sometimes hardly climbed the hills, into which the Audi A3 convertible (80 euros) jumped with a whistle.
If you plan to move off the asphalt, then it is better to take the same Jimny (40 euros) or Wrangler (115-150), at least they don’t scrape the bottom at every exit to the country road.
A very beautiful place with the confluence of two seas - the Aegean and the Mediterranean. Of interest are the fortresses in Rhodes and Lindos, the remains of the fortress in Monolithos.
Butterflies - not impressed. Well, butterflies, well, a lot, well, nature is beautiful with waterfalls. Ostrich farm - all the more, it looks like a traveling zoo. Although the ostriches themselves are beautiful.
If we gather to Rhodes again, then most likely we will choose another coast, not the Aegean, but the Mediterranean. It looks better in terms of the sea. Although I remember this hotel with good words.

You're just out of luck.... We had a great rest, maybe we didn’t get poisoned, because we spent whole days traveling around the island by car; By the way, they bargained for a car for 5 days very cheaply compared to European prices for a rental car. The food is not very tasty, but in my opinion there was something to choose: there were always ingredients for a Greek salad))) with fresh feta.

The food is not very tasty, but in my opinion there was something to choose: there were always ingredients for a Greek salad))) with fresh feta. If you don't like the food, you can always cross the road to Billy's cafe, drink delicious coffee and have a tasty snack if you are hungry))))) We are on the third floor (by the way, of course, I immediately ordered a sea view after reading the reviews) everything was clean, yes not a five, well, maybe not even a four by European standards, but everything worked and the shower cubicle was comfortable for two, even a jacuzzi. In general, the place is cool)))) It's just that you're out of luck with olivers. . . For this penny money - a normal hotel. No, there is still one G! This is the beach.... The stones are large - it is not possible to walk barefoot, to go in and out - hard labor! , mud from algae. . . in short uncomfortable and terrible view.... And the island itself is class and a bunch of other beaches! P. S. I’ll say it especially for those who say they saw it better.... I will say that I have not been going to the All-Union health resorts of Egypt and Turkey for a long time. In general, I travel a lot and have seen more than - I LIKE IT IN RHODES!

We rested at the hotel for 2 weeks from 07.08. 12, four adults and two children aged 9 and 14. We had: a double for 2 on the ground floor and a maisonette for 2 + 2 on the ground floor. Well, yes, the number of rooms is old, not even Bulgaria 3 *, but I’m generally silent about Turkey, but we didn’t come to sit in the room.

And when you sleep, you don’t look at the shabby refrigerator. The bathroom is very pleasant. The only problem in the maisonettes is that it is very stuffy on the 2nd level, but it can be solved with a fan. And as for ants and other insects - yes they were, but who in the country does not crawl into the house? Cleaned daily and towels changed as well. The planes did not irritate, on the contrary, it was even interesting. The sea was different and calm and turbulent, but always unclear - you can’t dive with a mask, you can’t see anything. My husband and I took a boat trip for 120s for 2, so we dived and saw enough of the paintings. Only after that she regretted that she didn’t take the children to her, people swam there with 3-year-olds. The pebbles in the sea are large. If the waves didn’t knock you off your feet, it would be normal, but so my parents and I swam in slippers, the children and my husband were barefoot, young, not yet pampered. We went to the sea after breakfast at about 10, we always found chaise longues and umbrellas, despite the fact that it was the season and there were 6 of us. The territory of the hotel is huge, there is a place for children to run, and there was something to do. Big tennis, football, polo, volleyball, darts, trampoline. . . I also liked the animation, my husband even won a bottle of UZO in the competition on the 3rd day of arrival. But after 7 days it was repeated, but there was time for myself and Rhodes. There was something like a disco from 10.30 to 23.30, music played, if you want, dance. They didn’t take the car, after the sightseeing tour they didn’t risk it along the serpentine. Food is a separate issue altogether. Over the past 7 years of rest, they have not been fed anywhere. Most impressed: Dor Blue cheese, Radamer, lamb and Pina Colada prepared by Mihalas. The breakfasts are the same, but this is the first hotel where there was no queue for pancakes, and eggs, omelettes, bacon, dried apricots, raisins, dried bananas, canned and fresh fruits, by the way, there is also an abundance of fruits (apples, oranges, bananas, peaches, melons, watermelons and 3 varieties of grapes). Once there were candied cherries, sweet cherries and figs. For lunch, 3-4 types of meat (beef, pork, turkey, lamb, chicken, rabbit meat, but it was placed next to the chicken and not signed), salads, vegetables, etc. Everything is very dietary, not oversalted, not overpepped. The children's menu, as elsewhere, is not for children: fries, nuggets and something like that, it is better to choose a beef cutlet and mashed potatoes from the general table. Juices are quite decent, obviously not UPI. The range of alcoholic products pleased not only the male half of our team. Vodka, ouzo, rum, gin, tequila, brandy (it doesn't stink like metaxa), vermouth, amaretto, coconut, mint and other chemical liqueurs. The men liked beer and white wine, and especially the fact that you pour them yourself during the day, as well as refreshing drinks. In general, they were dressed up for departure. Many thanks to the representative of Belion Tour, our hotel guide Alina Verbitskaya, who was always friendly and solved any issue. In general, we really liked it, for that kind of money it’s better here than in 4 * in Turkey, and you can’t spoil your vacation with furniture. If you have ever rested in a tent with mosquitoes, or in the Crimea about 10 years ago in the private sector a la Shanghai, then Doreta will seem like Paradise to you, and if you are used to the comfort of fashionable hotels, pay another thousand two dollars. e. and ok you are in Espiridas Beach on Faliraki. Would you return? - Yes, if I liked to go to the same place. And if in the new season we do not find anything worthy in Crete, then - DORETA! Ask, I will answer. Have a nice holiday.

Not a bad hotel, but book rooms of an improved category, otherwise they will settle in a "barn" and the rest will be irrevocably spoiled. The food is good, "watered" too : )) But only until 23.00. There are practically no discos - no one goes, and the music is played only until 23.30 (in my opinion). Rent a car (30-40 euros / day are the cheapest) and drive around the island - you won't regret it.

I want to tell you how I spent time on the island of Rhodes... Well, firstly, let's start with the fact that when we arrived from the airport, we quickly reached the hotel (about 5-10 minutes) Secondly, the hotel area is very good, pools, gardens , sites. True, there is a lot of bleach in the pools for adults, so swim in the children's pool, many did.

Not bad rooms, but expected more. There were a lot of Russians, they calmly communicated in Russian. True, if you go to the city, there are all Greeks! It’s good that they know English, we spoke English there in the city. It’s good for young couples to go to this hotel, everything is very romantic, and people are calm, even Russians =) I went to this hotel with children. We also had a good rest, full of entertainment, many playgrounds, etc. But adults will not be bored either. Cafe, bar, good performances, music, discos - everything is nearby! ! In general, we had a good rest!!! !

We ate between May 12-19.2012, we are a young couple of 23 years old. Yes, the rooms are not like in 5 *, but clean, tidy, cleaned every day. We lived on the second floor in room 151. The staff is helpful, we never had any difficulties. There was French animation, but this did not bother us, we participated in competitions, the animators did their best, they tried.

The buffet doesn't spoil with variety, but everything is very tasty! I especially recommend fish for dinner and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
The only thing was that the Russians spoiled the rest, who got drunk already at lunchtime (free bars in the hotel) and yelled at the whole beach

The linen in the rooms is old, the towels are gray, from cosmetics, only a small bar of soap. The senior manager at the reception - Charisto - is still that swindler, like all the other staff at the reception. The host - Beleon Tour is very pleasant, both in the hotel and on excursions. But I would give 3 * and no more.

I rested with my son (7 children) and mother in August 2011. I'll start my story with the fact that the Doreta Beach Hotel even up to 2 stars does not hold out, although it is a 4-star. Arriving at the hotel, we were placed on the 2nd floor, a standard room. I don't know who set such standards, but the number is "hellish".

I rested with my son (7 children) and mother in August 2011.
I'll start my story with the fact that the Doreta Beach Hotel even
up to 2 stars does not hold out, although it is a 4-star.
Arriving at the hotel, we were placed on the 2nd floor, a standard room. I don't know who set such standards, but the number is "hellish". Dirty, antediluvian, with miraculous air-conditioning equipment (on the floor), painted dark green, which worked like a tractor. . . I have never seen such a marvelous marvel in my life. Well, at least the child laughed....
At the request to be moved to a room on the 3rd-5th floors (supposedly superior rooms), at the reception they kindly told me that for 7.50 euros per person per day, we would be moved, BUT....the rooms are all occupied...
After long walks to the reception (they kicked like the last sucker, fed with promises - come in an hour, at 18-00, tomorrow), in the end they "complained" and offered a room on the 5th floor, while issuing a receipt for a completely left amount, from which it follows that they put some of the money in their pocket... but oh well, it’s not my business... I thought, at least they moved out of the horror catacombs of the 2nd floor....BUT...
The room on the 5th floor turned out to be tolerable....with a jacuzzi... BUT WITHOUT WATER, usually after 17-00. But this is all nonsense... There is no soundproofing in the rooms !!! ! They're talking in the next room, we can hear them!! ! The hotel rooms are like in an anthill....A long corridor and everything in the rooms...
The horrors began further when 37 people from the hotel ended up in the hospital with terrible poisoning. My mother was ill for 7 days, me and the child for 3 days. Vomiting everywhere in the hotel....With me, a 3-year-old child vomited near the elevator, and the other - on the trail. day at the beach. A group of Russian tourists from the hotel returned halfway from an excursion, sorry, with diarrhea, not up to walks.
Calling the doctor for me and my family, at the reception, the "sweet" hotel employee said, it's most likely you, from the sun !!! ! There are no words - there is an epidemic in the hotel, but they do not take any measures !! ! Although....measures were taken ---- for breakfast after 37 people were sent to the hospital, in the restaurant at the entrance, 2 managers literally grabbed the hand and handed champagne !! ! And it should be noted that the waiters from the restaurant also got sick!!!
The poisoning seemed to be cured, they picked up a viral infection in the same place (fever, inflammation in the throat, ears) --- all three had to drink antibiotics.
With so many tourists and such a small area of the hotel, all this is not surprising. The pool is small and teeming. . . the dirt is incredible! Used condoms on the beach... Thank God, at least they didn’t catch syphilis. Surprised by the reaction of the hotel to what is happening !! ! The fact that money was spent on calling doctors (one call costs 130 euros), medicines are nothing compared to spoiled rest and the desire to temper the child before the new school year, and as a result, treatment without end...
At the request to change the hotel after 2 days of staying in this horror hotel, the tour operator refused with the justification - all hotels are full!
The review is written chaotically, but everything described as it was! Maybe someone will come in handy when deciding to go or not to go!!!
NEVER AGAIN IN THE LIFE OF "Doreta Beach".... NEVER!! ! You wouldn't wish such a stay in HELL to your enemy!! !

I don't usually write reviews, but I decided to make an exception in this case. I had a chance to read a lot of negativity about this hotel before the trip - but after arrival it became clear that everything was far from being so bad. So the excitement was in vain. Went for 3 weeks in July 2011. Family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children - 14.

I had a chance to read a lot of negativity about this hotel before the trip - but after arrival it became clear that everything was far from being so bad. So the excitement was in vain. Went for 3 weeks in July 2011. Family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children - 14.9 and 2 years old. Of the pros: 1. Number. We lived in a family bungalow opposite the beach overlooking the sea. About 30 m to the beach. There were 2 air conditioners in the room - only one was constantly working, that was enough. Double room with balcony. Balcony on the 1st floor, you can go directly to the sea from there. 4 beds + baby cot (on order). There were no complaints about the furniture - you can’t call it old or shabby. The room has a refrigerator and a TV with 21 diagonals, Russian channels were. Cleaning - every day, normally, there were no complaints. 2. Nutrition. It was positioned as "all inclusive", and so it turned out. The menu is not repetitive, which I read a lot of complaints about before the trip. Every day there was: meat (2-3 different types), fish, poultry, children's menu, salads, fresh fruits, cakes and other sweets, a separate children's menu. In addition, spaghetti, shawarma, barbecue and more are prepared at a separate counter in the restaurant. There is also an open restaurant by the pool, where they go for dinner by appointment, but we were not there - there was no such need. Throughout the day, pizza, sandwiches and other snacks are prepared in the very open restaurant. We did not see queues to the restaurant (which we also had to read about). It happened that at peak times several people stood at the entrance for dinner, but they were seated almost immediately. We didn’t come across stale or “processed” food either. I want to add that on our trip with a small child there were practically no problems with food, there was always something for all ages. 3. The location is not bad. Close to shops and bars, bus stop to the city of Rhodes - just opposite. Travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes. We rented a car for 1 day, went to Lindos - a worthwhile trip. Car rental in the same place, opposite the entrance to the hotel. The airport is a 10-minute drive, and just in July they had a taxi strike. Many tourists who came on their own simply took the bus to the airport. 4. The animation is good. On the one hand - unobtrusive, on the other - you can find something to do. Water aerobics, competitions, dancing, volleyball, darts, tennis. Evening shows are also top notch. I remember two "ringleaders" - Sam and Ben, well done. 5. Staff. Impressions were very good. Compared to Turkey, there was a clear advantage here. If there were problems, they immediately tried to help. Still, the Greek mentality is closer to us. I still remember many of them by name. Disadvantages. The beach is pebbly, so the entrance to the sea is not very convenient. We recommend rubber slippers. The water was always warm enough, but small waves are also very common. Planes fly in the vicinity of the hotel, but we were not bothered. At night they were not heard, but during the day they somehow did not interfere, probably. But it might annoy some people. In general, there I had a chance to talk with our people, there were those who did not like it - that's all bad and that's it. But this always happens - the taste and color... But mostly they were satisfied, they said that initially they were also afraid to go because of the negative reviews. The pool is big, but there are a lot of people in it too. . Separate children's pool, also crowded. In the first days after arrival, there was confusion with sunbeds - people occupied them in whole stacks in the evening, so in the morning there were not enough for many. But then they fixed it. Comparing this trip with a trip to Turkey, Side, in July 2010 - to an average 5 star hotel - Doret was definitely better. Would we like to go back there again? Yes. If there are questions, I will try to answer.
