Our hotel was located in the village of Ixia from the airport, only 20 minutes away, but planes practically do not fly nearby. Hotel on the first coastline with OWN beach, which is a rarity for this village.
Very comfortable rooms, but I do not advise booking a garden floor because in the evening all living creatures fly into the room. We had a second floor, but friends were less fortunate. But this did not affect the overall impression of the hotel. Amazing atmosphere, family hotel, but there are a lot of young people in it (my wife and I are 26).
Special praise deserves food at the hotel, a large selection and variety of dishes. There were theme nights with Greek, Asian and Italian cuisine. The bar has local alcohol, but it is possible to drink elite alcohol for a surcharge.
There are many clubs, bars and taverns around the hotel. In the evening there is where to go, the city of Rhodes is only 6 km from the hotel, so in the evenings we sometimes went to the city, you can get there by bus, but you had to take a taxi back, because we walked until late at night. If you are in the old town, be sure to visit the La Varca tavern, amazing seafood and reasonable prices.
In principle, the rest was fine, if it were not cold : ) In May, Greece is no longer a foot, and especially Rhodes - there are winds, and they are even colder. It's cold, of course, for a resort - in principle, you could swim and sunbathe. If it doesn't bother you that you will be alone in the sea : )
The hotel is quite old, the rooms are very small, old furniture, no beach towels, and most of all outraged - no shampoos and soaps in the bathroom : ) But everything was pretty clean, cleaned normally, every day. The Russian TV channel was turned on only for the second week of stay, after the zhablovy and the scandal : ) But it is very much needed - when it's cold and raining, you have to do something in the room? And there is no Russian animation there. There are also no discotheques. Most of those staying in the department are old Germans. There are a few French. Russian-speakers are rare there. The staff does not speak Russian, but understands everything : )
The beach for a deuce is very shallow (although it is probably normal with children), it takes a very long time to walk from the coast in order to swim normally.
A significant plus of the hotel - (actually why I chose it) is that it stands right by the sea (most hotels in Rhodes are behind the road that you will have to cross to go to the beach.
The food is quite decent for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the snacks near the beach are rather weak - some kind of heartburn pizza and disgusting sausages in the dough (it's better at the Kazan station : ) The coffee is vile, instant.
But if you score on all this, you can have a normal rest. But I won't go to this hotel again. Gryat, for the same money one could live in a decent five.
