Hello!
I think my review of the Aquarius hotel will be useful. This hotel, despite a small "star", is almost on the beach, on the best stretch of the coast of Faliraki. The hotel is facing the sea, so the division into see-view is purely arbitrary. If, upon check-in, you ask for a side that does NOT overlook the pool, then peace and quiet are provided to you. Otherwise, until 3 o'clock in the morning you will enjoy a dance-party held every evening on the beach, in the tavern of the same hotel. Favorite theme - Salsa parties. The hosts are a married couple who speak English. They are very friendly and willing to meet your requests (with the exception of mute the sound at the above dances, as this is their "bread" at the expense of incoming guests from neighboring hotels. ) This year, the rooms were cleaned by a Russian-speaking Greek guy Alexander, so with all questions you can him. The rooms are new, with balconies and a separate air conditioner (free! ). Each room has either a large fridge or TV (as you're lucky). The beds are new, albeit with hard mattresses, but it's comfortable to sleep. The territory is a garden near the pool with sun loungers and a tavern. In the afternoon, from the entertainment - a beach holiday and all kinds of cafes stretching along the sea. Nearby is a small port, from where you can go by boat on excursions or just to the city of Rhodes. In the evening, everyone goes out to the streets of Falliraki, which are a string of cafes, alternating with night shops and "boutiques" of Greek bottling. However, already on the second day you will be perfectly oriented, all the more so, in order to get around all the streets and nooks and crannies, you don’t have to run around with a scalded cat at all, all the same, you need to understand the village. You can have a very nice ride around the neighborhood on a train. And night club life is a separate topic, on which I can’t tell you anything, but the fact that it is in full swing here is true. In the evenings, many go for a walk in Rhodes, wander the streets, sit in a cafe. Unfortunately, many shops close already at 6 o'clock. A lot of young people rest in Faliraki, mostly Englishmen, young couples, with or without children. And there are also a lot of representatives of the older generation, mostly Germans. Of the Slavs - Russians and Poles. I do not advise anyone to take a hotel on the opposite side of the island and in the city of Rhodes itself!! ! Relentless wind and storm. And this is in the high season, in August! It is impossible to swim, it is dousing with the head and the ears begin to hurt from the wind. My son is 13 years old. So, after such a swim (in the city of Rhodes) in the waves, of course, he got a drive, and with it furunculosis, it blew him so hard in a couple of hours. Vacations with small children are out of the question! ! And in Faliraki the sea is calm, clear and warm. So have a nice holiday!
