The hotel itself is not large, it consists of a two-story main building (in which there is a restaurant, a lobby, and an outdoor small pool - absolutely meaningless by the way) and two-story bungalows. Very small number of rooms with sea view.
Outdoor beach bar by the pool. Sufficiently large swimming pool with a waterfall. The gym is quite modest. There is a games room with billiards.
Separate computer room with Internet access. The hotel is very green, everything is in flowers, palm trees, like in a botanical garden. Very beautiful. Wednesdays - Cretan evening. Live music on Saturdays. 10 meters from the hotel disco Rous.
4. Numbers.
I did not like the rooms in the main building, as they were with two separate beds, but with a sofa. The bungalow rooms have a large bed. Very cozy, small, but absolutely everything is new and very high quality furniture. Most of all I was struck by the bathroom with high-quality fixtures and a beautiful marble door. There is a hair dryer, a safe for an additional fee (1 euro per day). Balcony is not big but with furniture, smoke-dry things. Fridge is empty. Towel pieces 10). Changed every day, every day cleaning and swans on the bed. I really liked the quality of the bed. No hint of a tip. Sami gave at the end of the holiday. One minus, because of the beautiful palm tree in front of the window, we had twilight in the room all the time, but fluorescent lamps were built into the head of the bed. Very cozy. It doesn't matter where they give you a room, it will be 1 minute from the beach). Immediately offered if the room does not fit, change. Without payment. We came up.
5. Beach.
The hotel is not in the bay, so the sea is more or less open. Because of this, frequent waves and a little windy. But in the heat it's even nice. Enough sunbeds and umbrellas. For free. The entrance to the water became a little problematic, as some kind of storm washed out the sand and exposed several stones. I did not like. But for everyone who stayed at the hotel, this did not interfere. Perhaps sand will be brought. But nearby, well, literally 10 meters (between the breakwaters) is a gorgeous sandy entry into the sea. There is a good shower on the beach, a toilet behind the bar.
ATTENTION: there are no beach towels. You can buy 5-8 euros in any store.
6. Nutrition. The hotel operates on an All Inclusive basis. Above all praise for Crete and for 4 stars. A lot of vegetables, all the time fruit, meat, a lot of fish, squid. Let us down sweets only. Drinks ...only foreign production. Metaxa, Martini, Baileys, Omega, Gordles, Red label… just like a river. There is no headache. )
7. Service.
Not intrusive, pleasant.
No one asks you a hundred times a day “how are you doing” like in Turkey / Egypt, but when some issue is resolved quickly and clearly. Friendly. Smiling. Good English. 2 Russian-speaking girls. Service in the restaurant and bars at 5. Very satisfied.
8. Excursions.
Everything depends on you. We did not take excursions from the host, but rented a car. I highly recommend it, safe (excellent roads), not expensive (because we have the end of the season for 30 euros a day for a Suzuki jeep, for 35 euros a Renault Megan convertible). In which office you will take the car, it does not matter, the prices are about the same, the service and conditions are the same. We took in EL GRECO. Insurance covers everything. A guidebook and maps are provided with the car. Everything is very clear.
We were delighted with the island. Nature is extraordinary. Mountains, rocks, fields, 5 seas! In the south of the island, where the Libyan Sea is, there are stunning paid beaches - 5-7 euros per breath.
There are almost no hotels, a minimum of people ...The sea is blue, clean, in fabulous bays. Swimming with a mask is a pleasure. Like red) . . well, almost. We especially recommend daimnoni (35 km from the hotel through a beautiful gorge to the south) and paleochora ...it's 150 km south through Chania, but believe me it's worth it - the blue flag of UNESCO and in general just a mini Dominican Republic). Dine in a tavern from 10 to 20 euros for two. VERY large portions. You can safely take one for two. A lot of small "bonuses" like water, and cakes. Beautiful island trips to Gramvousa, Santorini and Spinalonga. In general, there is enough information on excursions on the internet. Almost all facilities are free to visit. For example, the palace of Minos is free on Monday.
9. General impressions.
Highly recommend the hotel in particular and Crete in general. For 1 vacation, you don’t have time to see all of Crete, there is a lot of it and all of it is interesting and unlike other countries.
