The whole family rested from 04.06 to 15.06 at the Creta Star hotel (mom, dad, me and my younger sister 8 years old). Together with my parents we went to a travel agency to choose where to fly to rest. We decided to fly to Crete. Last year we went to Rhodes. I really liked the rest then and decided this time to choose a Greek island too. The travel agency advised several options with different tour operators, but we decided that we would go to Creta Star. There are a lot of good reviews about the hotel on the Internet. I am a big tennis fan and the hotel has good tennis courts and my little sister needs some animation. She was also in this hotel.
Arrived in the morning, settled in the room immediately. We booked Family Room Side Sea View. Number given 525 on the 5th floor. We didn’t have time for breakfast, we went to the bar, we were able to have a bite to eat (eggurts, sandwiches, tea, coffee, cereals with milk, etc. ) We immediately took a safe at the reception (7 days 24 euros) and beach towels for a deposit of 20 euros. Internet in the room does not catch, it only catches well in the hotel lobby. In the evening we met with the hotel guide, everyone learned about the hotel itself. A la carte Italian restaurant can be visited 1 time for free, which we did a few days later.
We stayed for more than a week, so we immediately planned a trip. I wanted to go to Knossos and the Cave of Zeus, my mother wanted to go to the Cretan evening, my sister wanted to go to the water park, my father did not want to go anywhere. As a result, we went on the Knossos-Heraklion Tour and the water park. I liked Knossos, my father liked Butari winery, my mother liked the city of Heraklion with shops. Everyone loved the water park. So we decided the issue with two excursions. Basically, we all enjoyed our stay. The animation is good, there are programs during the day and in the evening, I immediately signed up for tennis for all days in the morning (racquets and balls can be taken for free at the reception).

When we arrived at the hotel, we realized that there were no kettles and irons in the room and there was nowhere to take them. Only there is a paid service to wash and iron. Tourists from Moscow lived on our floor, they took an iron with them, so they took it from them. If you go, keep in mind that there are no irons there. Of course, my sister got burned on the beach in the first days. There are no pharmacies near the hotel (in general, there is nothing near the hotel, except for shops and taverns). Panthenol ordered at the reception. Free service from the hotel, medicines are brought from the pharmacy.
We also flew out in the morning, the hotel guide ordered us an early breakfast and we waited a bit for the bus and went to the airport. The drive from the hotel to the airport is less than an hour and a half. The staff of Mouzenidis saw us off, helped us at the airport with check-in and baggage check-in. These are two different stands. The airport is small, there were a lot of people, the duty free time was about 50 minutes. The plane arrived and departed without delay, so our holiday went well from beginning to end.
