Finally got around to writing my review. Rested with his wife and child (7.5 years) in July (from 15 to 29).
The hotel consists of several small buildings located on a quiet street leading to the sea. Steve manages, Russian-speaking woman Maria helps him. She can find out where, what, how much. Thank her very much for this!
On the same street there is a supermarket where, among other things, you can buy bus tickets to Rethymno (1.20 euros one way).
The room is quite decent, the second room, combined with the kitchen.
Beach towels are issued once and free of charge, replacement - 1 euro. At the reception there is a computer with Internet for free, Wi-Fi is also free.
In general, the location of the hotel is very convenient. Too bad it wasn't possible to rent a car.

He came to the meeting with the guide, gave the number of the return flight and left. Although this could not have been done - they already have all the information. The obligatory meeting with the guide is a lure to sell excursions.
Near the beach there is a bar with its own territory, where umbrellas and sun loungers are free (on the beach itself for a fee, and they try to steal money for sunbeds even at 18 pm : -)) From the bar to the sea - 50 m and 100 m to the hotel in the opposite direction. The sea was often slightly stormy (2-3-4 balls, judging by the weather site), because. The bay is very wide and there are no breakwaters. Therefore, at this time, the sea near the coast is unclear. The beach is pebbly, but I rarely saw people in special shoes. The entrance to the sea quickly gains depth, which may not be convenient for everyone. And the sea is like a sea.
We had breakfast at the hotels - quite decent, among other things, a choice of scrambled eggs, baked vegetables, pancakes and something else. I took pancakes and poured them with chocolate (nutella). I dined with what I bought in the supermarket (watermelon or melon to choose from). For dinner we went mainly to Sky-Park, which has a lot of good reviews here. From myself I will add that Sky-Park has the best combination of price and quality. At first I planned that I would dine in different places (there are enough taverns), but after several visits to other taverns, I left this idea and went only to Sky-Park. Prices are approximately the same for everyone, portions are large everywhere, but Sky-Park is still larger and definitely tastier (IMHO, of course). Least liked in the Finikas tavern near the hotel. You can still go and Garden, which is located opposite the Sky-Park, is also not bad. In principle, it’s not bad in a tavern with a parrot, but the prices there are higher and the portions are smaller. In Rethymnon, prices are generally higher. Need to look for it.
The bus stop for Rethymno is located near the Sky-Park. At the entrance (and you need to enter through the front door), hand your ticket to the driver, he tears off half of it - like punched it.

The bus schedule is available at the reception, you can also look at the website of the carrier KTEL.
I started to explore Rethymnon from the fortress (it so happened that I passed a stop in the city center, and the next - the final - bus station). From there it is a 15 minute walk to the fortress. Opposite the fortress - the Archaeological Museum and the city center 10 minutes on foot. Arcadiou Street runs along the waterfront and is full of boutiques. From the Venetian city gates, Etnikis Antistaseos Street begins, on which there are many souvenir shops and expensive taverns. In the old harbor (aka Venetian) there are a concentration of fish taverns. And full of Russian-speaking barkers : -)
We went to Knossos with an excursion from the street agency Klados Travel (excursions are sold at many car rental points). It turned out cheaper. The guide was a Greek woman who spoke Russian well (as for a person who had never been in a Russian-speaking country). We were on the bus with half of the English-speaking passengers who had their own guide. Both guides in the bus gave information in turn, and in Knossos and Heraklion itself, each led his own group. We stayed in Knossos for about 2.5 hours - everyone walked around, told about everything. There are an incredible amount of people roaming around. I think that it is better to take a car and come yourself when there is no one there, or even better to go to other palaces of the Minoan era, where excursions are not taken (Zakros, Festus, Malia). And in Knossos just for show. We visited the exposition from the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion, which exhibits the famous frescoes from the Palace of Knossos (copies in the palace itself), the Phaistos disc and much more. The Archaeological Museum itself has been under renovation for three years.
Also from the street agency we went to the WaterCity water park. The agency also offers to other water parks Limnoupolis and Acquaplus.

You can ride the Yellow Train and Talos Express sightseeing trains - two different offices. With the Yellow Train you can ride to different villages in the mountains. We went to the monastery of Arkadi - we liked it. True, we spent only 1 hour in the monastery - not enough. The attendant speaks several languages, including Russian. There are only four excursions in Talos Express. I chose Lake Qurna. In fact, we travel the entire route by bus and only 3 km from the lake to Georgioupolis by train. The escort speaks several languages besides Russian. In Georgioupolis, the guide dragged everyone to some kind of tavern, after which he gave everyone coupons for free access to the beach (umbrellas, sun loungers, the beach is free, but there is nowhere to leave things - there is not enough space, and the sun loungers are in dense rows). The food is disgusting. In Georgioupolis, the beach is sandy, but small. Very shallow - you get tired of walking to the depths. Despite the fact that it was shallow - the water was cold (why would that be? ). In general, the tour is not very good, but I liked the lake - it's very beautiful.
You can also go to Chania and back for 15 euros from a street agency. Like a shopping tour: they brought you in the morning, they took you away in the evening, but no one runs after you - this is not Turkey : -) In the same way, you can go to Heraklion with a visit to Knossos, but without a guide.
Bought homemade honey and olive oil from Maria. Satisfied.
All said IMHO. Maybe I wrote all this for myself, so as not to forget : -)
Sorry for the many letters.
