We rested in this hotel from May 13 to May 20.2012. In general, we had a pleasant impression of the hotel, although we took a ticket at random, guided only by the low price and the fact that the hotel is new.
Much of what is written in the previous review is true, but the owners have eliminated some of the shortcomings.
There are no complaints about food, such a variety of food as in the huge hotels of Turkey and Egypt you will not see here, probably due to the fact that the hotel is small. But the food is very tasty. For lunch and dinner, there were always two types of meat, fish, vegetables and fruits, except that with desserts it was not very good. There was enough food for everyone, there were always plenty of free tables too. Nice pizza was at the pool bar between lunch and dinner. I didn’t try strong drinks, but beer and red wine are on the level, Egyptian and Turkish swill is not close by. I liked the local cold coffee frappe. Fresh, as elsewhere for money.

I liked the attitude of the staff, all very polite and cultured.
As for the deposit for a towel and a TV remote control, it's true. Noise isolation did not improve either, but considering that we rented a car and traveled around Crete almost all days, and returned tired in the evening and turned off almost immediately after dinner, the noise of steps in the corridor was absolutely on the drum))
The beach is sandy, the entrance to the water is rocky, when you go waist-deep, then sand again. The sea is clean, the view from the left is super! The mountains are impressive, especially at sunset.
I don’t know if it makes sense to take a room with a sea view, since there are very few rooms with a real sea view due to the fact that the hotel is located at the end of the beach.
There are no longer any pallets with nails on the way to the beach, there are normal stone steps.
The hotel itself is located in the village of Sfakaki. There is no entertainment around. The best option is to take a car and drive around the island, or you can take a bus and go to Rethymnon (stop 100 meters from the hotel).
I can only say good things about the hotel guide Roman from the TEZ tour. He told about the excursions, but he didn’t force them. Even when we refused excursions, he still helped to solve all the questions that arose, advised what was worth seeing on the island, helped to sort out the car rental.
Vacationers are mostly ours and the British, many with children.
I think that the hotel draws on 4 *, although it has 5 * on the sign. If you have any questions, I'm ready to answer.
